Mi 9 AOD features for mi 8 request - Xiaomi Mi 8 Themes, Apps, and Mods

can some one please port the mi 9 AOD features to MI 8 ???

I have one theme of the AOD feature and it's Batman! There a many more but i can't seem to find it as it can be flashed with TWRP.

Mi8 AOD Edge Notification only works if you set up your Mi8 as new phone (delete data) does not work
if you updated from older versions.

i am looking for color notification like on mi 9 . i heard its already on china beta .. hope to get in near future

but mi8 needs to be set-up as new phone with actual fw ( no cloud backup restore)

if you always updated your Mi8 and AOD Edge notification are still not working,
copy your latest rom.zip to your phone, start twrp, wipe "system" and "cache & dalvik"
and reflash your rom. (your data and settings are kept)
AOD Edge Notifications are working after that. (SMS purple, Whatsapp green)
(whatsapp edge notifications are shown for me after second notifications)
Is there source for other AOD Styles ? Has anyomne managed to extract / convert
the Mi9 AOD Styles , so we can use them with the Mi8 ?????

First, If your AOD does not work, cause you did always an update
and never did a clean install since 9.x.x.x, you have to download the mi8rom.zip (xiaomi.eu)
copy it to your Mi8, start twrp and wipe "system" and "dalvik cache"
(your Mi8 wont boot without system so do not reboot)
go back to Install and re-install the Mi8Rom.zip
(your settings and data are kept)
so, I managed to use some Mi9 AOD Styles on my Mi8.
What I did:
-extraced the Mi9 rom
AOD Files are stored in:
system\priv-app\MiuiSystemUI\MiuiSystemUI.apk\res\drawable-440dpi-v4
and
\system\priv-app\Settings\Settings.apk\res\drawable-440dpi-v4
- used the AOD update script from "Dimas Alam" (he did the Batman AOD theme)
and replaced the AOD files.
Download: Mi9 AOD for Mi8
Just flash the script via TWRP
