The first time i flashed nos i usually get 7 to 8hrs sot, then i went back to miui to get the wildvine L1 feature but when i flashed nos again my sot became 3 to 4 hrs only. What should i do to get better sot again? Pls help.

Change rom and see??

If you are a heavy user (All the time gaming or watch YouTube videos) it is pretty normal. But if you don't believe that your SOT should be better than that, might you have to change some few things.
Try some custom kernels that focuses on battery improvements
Try underclocking your CPU and GPU using kernel tuners available on Play store (Of course, it will significantly improve battery life but sacrifices both CPU and GPU performance)
Try other rooted apps that eliminates other apps on Play Store (Greenify, Servicely, Amplify, etc.)
Lastly, compare each other custom roms which is which has better SOT
Just compare and contrast. Everybody has different usage on their phones, different roms, different kernels, mods, apps, etc.
As a heavy user, almost 4.5 hrs SOT is normal with highest brightness (I have Privacy tempered glass which is sucks) before 10% battery level

Good Battery Life on Lollipop? (Stock based rom)

Sort of a general question, but I'm wondering, has anyone been able to achieve good battery life on a stock based rom? (Jasmine, Skydragon etc). I love the LG camera, so I've been sticking with stock based roms, but I've tried everything imagineable to try and save battery on this phone and I can't seem to do it. The best I've been able to get out of this phone is right under 4 hours of screen time and I'm losing about 2.5% every hour when the screen is off. Wakelocks and other battery monitors don't really show anything crazy going on that I can tell, but the culprit seems to be Android OS (as usual).
I've heard of lowering the resolution saving some juice, but I'd rather not do that if I didn't have to. I've got greenify, amplify and other minor tweaks running. Anyone been able to find a real way to increase battery life on this phone? I'm tempted to get a new phone if I can't fix the issue. My old S4 used to get 6+ hours of screen time easily.
try downloading jasmine lollipop with xposed using greenify module. use STOCK kernel. ive seen better battery using the stock kernel than using skydragons. delete amplify because ive found that it drains battery rather than saving it. buy greenify if you have a little cash. and greenify some system apps. I sometimes get 5 and a half hours sot.

OnePlus 2 amazing SOT!!!! (AK kernel)

Hello guys
Just wanted to share with you my experience with the OnePlus 2 concerning the SOT.
When I first got the phone (ordered from Gearbest), it had Hydrogen OS, it was a bit laggy and crappy battery life. I was scared as I thought that my device was faulty since it's ordered from china. I flashed Oxygen OS 2.1 through TWRP after full wipe, had only root and using Greenify, it got a bit better, but still, it wasn't perfect, there was some lag here and there (wasn't able to go beyond 52k in Antutu), and I would reach 3h30 SOT at best with heavy usage (my daily usage usually contains some gaming, listening to music, lots of browsing and facebook/messenger, whatsapp, youtube.. etc).
Until someone in the OnePlus forums suggested that I install AK kernel, so I did, and boy am I amazed. Performance suddenly become way better (62k in Antutu), and the most important thing, is the SOT results I'm getting now. Battery drained 40% while I got 3 hours of SOT as you can see in the provided screenshot. I played Asphalt for a bit, did some browsing and youtube and facebook, took some photos, used 4G for about an hour of this time, with GPS on battery saving, sync off, and 40% brightness. Android system and Android OS seem to drain a lot of battery though, would probably get better results if this gets fixed.
Seriously I'm so ****in' satisfied! Kudos to the developers of AK kernel, kudos to OnePlus for making such an amazing device at such a price (pretty sure you can't get these SOT results on the most expensive devices like Samsung or LG).
This proves that the device itself is a beast, it just needs the perfect software/kernel for it and nothing can stop it.
I hope that OnePlus team releases a more stable OOS version, with more features, probably with Android 6.0 as soon as possible? who knows
Share with us your overall experience with your OnePlus 2.
Cheers.
Still on the same cycle.
PS: forgot to mention that the phone's temperature became waaaay better after flashing AK kernel. The phone barely gets a bit warm and that happens when I'm gaming for a long duration or using 4G. It stays pretty cool on WIFI, with tons of apps running all at the same time (thanks to 4GB of RAM).
Glad to hear it. I will root it asap and test some kernels. Hope I have same experience
I have found great improvements using this kernel. i found playing a tower defense game for an hour took 20% battery. However battwry stats not accurate - restarting phone can see a drop of 10%.
First 3 charge cycles where 0% to 100%, and after 2% to 100%. Have never reset battery stats tho since 3 clean rom/kernel flashes

What tower defense game... My OPT drains so much battery with Kingdom rush origins and frontiers. I guess I could play it for 3 hours straight with one charge though...
sent from my OPT
With latest AK v.013, I am getting a battery life of almost 28 Hours with SOT around 5 Hrs. I don't use data and WiFi in on 95% of the time. Usage includes some music, Clash of Clans, Whatsapp, Mail, Twitter and other few apps. Kudos to AK for this amazing performing kernel.

3 hours of straight gaming is awesome!
Sorry to say that, but it's nothing special. Battery life depends most of the apps you are using. I've got similar scores on stock kernel. Look at the screenshot. From 90% it's 5h sot with 18% left. So kernel thing=control. But battery life=common sense ?
I have the same usage on stock kernel as AK kernel, using the same apps, yet the battery stats are way different. How can you explain that?
Mod Edit
There is a thread here on same topic hence use the same for all such discussions.

Late In The Tablet World

Just recently bought an N9 from swappa and really loving this device.
Done a lot of reading and there's a lot of content to choose from, however still don't have the choice due to so many devs cherry picking from a lot of other ROMs.
I'm looking for a battery friendly but butter smooth stable performance ROM that's up to date weekly, I'm willing to risk multitasking because I only watch videos and view web content on my device and do nothing more.
My current DD is unlegacy aosp 7.1.2 with Gapps, FI Kernel. Viper4Android and Xposed Nougat SuperSU 2.82 sr5
Current tweaks I have can run this device for 4 hours of my 12 hour day from 90 to 20. Usage involves Max brightness WiFi on, Bluetooth on ( using a BT Speaker ), location off, CPU MAX @ 1581 and GPU 504, Sublime_Active with CPUQuiet Balanced, Netflix for a few hours, Amazon prime video for a few hours, viewing content via samsung internet browser, YouTube app. And a whole slew of other streaming video apps. I'm always clearing recent apps and sleeping them with greenify.
Using Amplify to reduce wakelocks, MinMinGuard for App Adblocking and YouTube AdAway through xposed.
Judging from recent battery usage it seems like it does average 17% per hour daily at my max usage . I'm trying not to full charge or fully discharge the battery to preserve longevity, I was wondering if that sounds okay to you guys.
Any suggestion is helpful as long as I can make the device last longer without overcharge or full discharge which is... Almost impossible to ask for I guess, haha.

[Q] Best ROM - Kernel Combination for Best SoT (~15 hours)

Hello my friends. Which is the best rom-kernel combination to get the longest on-screen time on Redmi Note 4X (mido)? I want about 15 hours of screen on time. I'm on MultiPro Stable 9.5.8.0 and i got 8-9 hours of SoT. This is not enough for me because of my daily routine I don't play games but LCD brightness always 80 percent and above.
So, Which is the best rom-kernel combination to get the longest on-screen time on Redmi Note 4X (mido)?
Sorry for my bad English, i still learning this language
You wont get 15 hours with display on 80%+ brigthness, since this display consumes most battery.
I have about 12 hours with brigthness only in 20-30%...
What's your "daily routine" ?
Although it true that you wont achieve the most out od your phone with 80%+ brightness my combination is the following:
DotOs rom v2.2 TREBLE with Francokernel V6(supports treble roms) and gave some $$$ for his Francokernel manager app which is great if you want to tweak some stuff for better phone battery or performance. Alternatives are Kernel adiutor or N speed from the play store.

Battery idle drain

How to fix battery idle drain on poco f1 and i'm using miui 11.0.9 and ngk kernel(1.5.5) .And SOT 5-6h .Or sleeping time battery drain so bad 6-7h sleep and battery used 15-20% .
NGK APK (latest) :- ngk profile:- Battery saving mode.
plz HELP me ...
How is your SoT so low? Unless you game a lot it should be significantly higher. In crDroid 6.9 with stock OD kernel I am averaging 10 hours. No gaming other than casual ones. Airtel isn't good in my locality. Previously with Idea it was around the 12 hr mark. I have used NGK for 2-3 months and it also used to deliver good battery backup.
Idle drain has been an issue but nothing as high as yours. Normally 0.5-0.8%/h. With NGK it was a bit lower IIRC. I am using BitGApps which enables Battery Optimization for Google Play Services. Helps in idle drain a bit.
Install Better Battery Stats and check if any rogue apps are keeping the device awake unnecessarily. Recently I went through a 3 week period where idle drain was really bad, 3-4%/h. After blocking a bunch of wakelocks like qcom-step-chg, IPA RM_12 etc it was back to normal.

How did you blocked wakelocks?

I am using Smartpack Kernel manager for the same. But the kernel must also have support for blocking wakelocks built-in.
There's also a Magisk module Wakeblocker? which should work independently of kernel support but I didn't have any success with it.
