Recovery mode issue - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Whenever I try to load my Asus MemoPad (me172v) into recovery mode all I get is - No USB cable connection - and when I plug USB to my laptop, it stays the same (I have USB debugging enabled and drivers installed). None of the custom recovery modes are compatible for this device. Any tips on how to bypass/ get rid off the "No USB" screen?
Thanks for any tips

no usb detected

EDIT: Fixed it. settings>storage>menu>USB computer connection>enable MTP connection
My lg e970 running PA 3.99+ cant be seen by the computer anymore. It does not show up in device manager. It only charges when connected. I tried reinstalling the lg drivers. I also tried toggling fast charge in trickster mode on and off again, but still no luck. There is still no notification on the phone to select usb connection mode, mtp or ptp. I also tried toggling fast charge in trickster mode on and off again. I went into usb tethering and it says "usb not connected". The only way the computer sees the phone in device manager is if it is in fastboot with the nexus 4 universal adb driver. Even then, I can't see it in windows explorer as a mtp interface.

[Q] Xperia T2 Ultra stuck in MTP mode

Hello,
I was trying to root my xperia ultra t2 using guide:
amarb.com.np/2014/09/how-to-root-sony-xperia-t2-ultra_28.html
After unlocking the bootloader the USB debugging went off as phone got Reset, i didn't know that . I continued the process without turning on the USB debugging.
I completed properly till this step as flashmode doesn't require USB debugging :-
Turn on your phone, now your phone will show blank black screen, you don't need to worry
Now the phone is not turning on back , phone screen is black I can't proceed to further step as using install.bat required USB debugging on.
The phone is not going to fastboot mode and recovery mode also. It is just in MTP mode with screen black.
Whatever i do (Hold Up key and connect or try to enter recovery it's going to MTP mode only)
FlashTool log :
10/031/2014 23:31:26 - INFO - Device connected with USB debugging off
10/031/2014 23:31:26 - INFO - For 2011 devices line, be sure you are not in MTP mode
I can access device SD card and internal storage but adb and fastboot commands are not working .
Please help i want to enable USB debugging.

USB Debugging option in Developer Options keeps getting disabled

Hi,
Every time I restart my phone after enabling the USB debugging option under Developer options on my Moto E, the USB DEbugging option gets turned off. How can I keep it enabled.
I suspect that it doesn't let me perform adb devices and fastboot devices on my phone when I connect it via USB after restarting the phone in Fastboot mode.

Broken screen - No usb debugging. No recovery. How do I recover data?

So I've been having a really unlucky day so far.
My Xperia Z2 6502 fell and the screen got cracked. The touch screen is going haywire. I had usb debugging mode enabled and was trying to recover the data using a screen mirror software but due to some bad luck, the random touches on the screen somehow turned debugging off. Also usb was set to charge only.
Is there anyway I can access the internal storage?
In summary:
- Running rooted marshmallow
- BL locked
- Touch screen going haywire
- No recovery installed ( the recovery I had installed was temporary, needed to be installed while booted with debugging enabled)
Any suggestions?
I tried using flashboot mode but I think it requires usb debugging to be enabled?
Can I do anything in fastboot mode?

Click to collapse
There is no need for usb debugging for fast boot
And did you tried using mouse with OTG???
If you can see the display, use an OTG cable to connect a mouse, so you can "click on" the screen and enable the USB debugging or make a backup.
First install the fastboot drivers, now enter fastboot mode by holding volume up while your phone is turned off and then plug it into your computer Unlock the bootloader by following these (https://developer.sonymobile.com/unlockbootloader/unlock-yourboot-loader/) instructions.
Now it's time to install twrp, download if from https://dl.twrp.me/sirius and then run fastboot flash recovery /path/to/file you should then be able to boot recovery and access mtp and adb
Happened to me.. grab an otg cable and a mouse, connect to your phone and navigate with the mouse
use the scroll to scroll up and down

Unable to enter USB debugging mode

Hello all,
I purchased this phone a month back and would like to install custom roms/root it etc.
I am unable to get my phone to enable USB debugging and allow access for my PC. (I have a unlocked bootloader). The notification (prompt) for USB Debugging which shows up the phone (asking if one wants to grant access or not) doesn't show up. Hence I am unable to use adb or fastboot to install TWRP.
I have tried using the cable provided by the company on both USB 3.0 & 2.0 ports to no avail.
I am aware that there is a "How to Guide" under the News/Discussions section. However, it hasn't helped me much.
Any possible solutions?
Thank you
PS- When I connect to pc using USB cable I get the prompt asking me if I want to use it for file transfer,PTP or no data transfer.
Are the drivers properly installed?
What does the device manager show, when your phone is connected via USB and USB debugging is switched on?
What happen if you type "adb shell" when your phone is connected?
Enable it in developer option
Allow USB debugging and USB debugging Security Settings) in Developer Options
