so your only option is to beg huawei for the code to reunlock your phone...
or sell this one (if it is still working) and buy a new one
or find another root method.. and when rooted try to unlock bootloader with root..
Yup it says I'm locked

Towelroot says its successful but when I install supersu it says theres no su binary installed

so i have literally had no luck normally if towel root says it was successful and the phone doesnt reboot it means it worked but i can no matter what get it to work

I can't get them to install. I have the consumer wireless. unlocked bootloader and unlocked carrier and rooted. I reinstalled the stock recovery and it brings up an error about vendor.app. I think that file is nessecary to install this rom. thats my guess unless I am doing something wrong.
That's very strange I had no problem installing them the vendor.app is an image that is included in the update.app file try Google Huawei update extractor and extract the update app u will have a bunch of img files use fast boot and install them one by one and your extracting them so it shows a dload folder right then putting the dload folder on your external memory not internal right
I bought my phone from Wind a few days ago, and apparently this phone sold out at Wind.

Hi,
so, I got my Honor 5x rooted and CM 13 installed a few months ago from this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/hon...-unofficial-cyanogenmod-13-0-nightly-t3344499.
Last week or so some apps just didn't exist any more on my phone. Also I wasn't able to download any kinds of things, like apps, documents, pictures or whatever. After some time I figured out, that it was because of my SD-card being dead. When I removed it, all was fine again.
Another problem, that I got from the beginnning of having this ROM installed, I wasn't able to do updates, still don't know why exactly.
So I decided to wipe my phone and reinstall a newer version of CM in hope, that all would be fine again.
After performing backups and so on, I downloaded the latest build of CM from the official website (the one from 1st october) and GApps with ARM64, pushed it on my device and tried to install it with TWRP 3.0.2. I did a full wipe before, also deleting internal storage and System.
Error 7 occured and after some Internet research I read about this "assert" line. Figured out, that I got 2 oft them in this file and deleted the second telling something about the TB number, because it was also named in the error of TWRP.
Then pushed it on the device again and tried to install it. There was no error while installing, but after optimizing the apps, I got bootloops. Tried flashing other ROMs, including the one I got two days before, but it still got the same problem.
Also this huawei eRecovery thingy couldn't help me.
Now I don't know how to get an OS on my phone again, it would be very nice if someone could help me.
I also don't know whether there is a thread, that already deals with this topic, but I didn't know how to search for this.
If there is anything left unclear I'm very sorry, it's my first time posting, please excuse.
Thank you!

No problem mate, Community is Here to help!
The matter is, ROMs built after 18/8/2016 requires that you upgrade to Marshmallow stock ROM that means EMUI 4.0.
then you can flash the custom ROMs without problems.
If you're on bootloop, can you boot to fastboot or TWRP manually?

Try to get back to stock firmware, to do that download the latest firmware, extract to get dload folder containing UPDATE.APP, use Huawei update extractor to extract recovery, Cust, boot and system images.
Flash them to your phone using fastboot, put dload folder in the root of an SD, insert it in your phone and press and hold vol up + vol down + power until the phone boots up to force an update.
Have you already tried this? If not, do this please.

What file did you get (link) ?
theirs no need to use the HuaweiUpdateExtractor, unless you need the stock recovery from it.
all you need is Stock recovery (installed) and the Update.app for your current version
Update.app goes in a folder named dload on the sdcard, now simply shut the phone off and restart it while holding power + volup + voldown
after 5 seconds let go of the power button and continuing holding the vol buttons till you see the update begin (around 25 seconds)

Hi everyone,
I've recently messed up terribly on the Canadian model of this phone. The model # is KII-L05 and the problem is that I'm stuck on the logo screen when booting.
I was unable to flash a custom ROM properly and have no backups. I have TWRP 3.1.1-0 installed and have tried flashing cm12.1, cm-13.0, lineage-13.0 and lineage-14.1 with the proper gapps to no success. I also tried eRecovery (with a lot of trouble getting to it using the Vol+/- because it loads TWRP 99% of the time) but it won't detect the dload/UPDATE.APP that I acquired from the Canadian Huawei support site nor will it update via wifi.
I've run out of ideas so I'd appreciate some assistance in finding a solution either getting back to stock ROM(firmware?) or a custom ROM that supports this model.
If there's already an answer posted, please pass along the link as I've come up with nothing searching and following most of what's been said before.
Thanks,
You just have an option to restore the backup if someone can share it.

I was hoping it wouldn't have to come to that...
For clarity, would that be using TWRP to restore the backup or using the eRecovery/UPDATE.APP method?
I'll try my luck in the file repository to see if anyone has it.

Extract your update.app using a program like 7zip -- it should contain a boot.img file. Use the ADB method to manually flash the file.
While your at it, if there is a system.img file -- flash that as well.

I mentioned in my original post that I have no backups. Unfortunately, that includes me not having stock recovery to start from scratch.
My current eRecovery doesn't recognize anything I put into dload nor does it update via wifi.
I'm currently outreaching to Huawei Canada (been more than a few days without a response) as well as friends/coworkers that may have the phone that can help with no success.

No backups, that includes anywhere internal or external of the phone in question. Already tried the Huawei site and they have Marshmallow - I suspect I need anything older that's on Lollipop.

May be last option is to take it to Huawei service center they will fix it for you.
I am trying to get back to stock everything. I have a UK model, STF-L09 C432 variant. This is day 3 of pain.
1. I've downloaded various versions of update.zip from https://pro-teammt.ru/en/online-firmware-database/?firmware_model=STF-L09C432&firmware_page=0. I make sure to go for the FULLOTA-MF versions so as to get the system partition.
2. I've extracted the following paritions using the huawei update extractor tool and flashed each:
System – fastboot flash system SYSTEM.IMG
Ramdisk – fastboot flash ramdisk RAMDISK.IMG
Kernel – fastboot flash kernel KERNEL.IMG
Recovery – fastboot flash recovery_ramdisk RECOVERY_RAMDIS.IMG
3. I try to boot to recovery with VOLUME UP + POWER. Bootloops into erecovery which only has an option to "Download latest version and recovery", Reboot or Shutdown
4. I try the download option. It connects to wifi successfully then says "getting package info failed".
5. I try to boot the phone normally and the same as step 3 happens, erecovery.
I notice the FULLOTA-MF has two files, update.zip and update_full_STF-L09_hw_eu.zip. Am I meant to be extracting something from there and flashing it too?
I should mention prior to me putting on a custom rom many moons ago (openkirin one) I had to upgrade to android 8. SO it is android 8 images I have been trying to install. I don't care about losing data.

Can you access stock recovery?
If you can access stock recovery then you should try connecting to your WiFi and sees if it downloads stock firmware for your device?

Unfortunately that doesn't work. Just times out with "getting package info failed".

Great, I've got an SD card ordered and will give this a try when that arrives. Thanks.
Edit: It worked. Thanks!

The 2nd link is misdirected. Would you happen to have a link to a similar thread?
Thanks

I am sorry but I cannot help you, since I do use this device anymore and I really do not want to get any other devices from this manufacturer.

No worries, and I can't agree with you more. I ain't touching another Honor/Huawei device ever again. I've never had this much trouble dealing with flashing with any other brand.

I think there was a wrong period at the end of the original link.
