Hey guys,
I've hard bricked my Sonim XP7 and was able to get it into Qualcomm EDL mode. I've reflashed the stock image through QFIL but just as I thought the flash was done (full blue bar and "reset done" message), I unplugged it to say that it had lost connection. Next thing I know, I get the charge LED but nothing else. Computer doesn't recognize it and I've tried the cable method to go into EDL by shorting Data- and GND. Nothing works.
Any tips? :crying::crying:
same here, sad

Hi,
I got my new phone a couple of days back, installed CM13 (officially unlocked, did that with TWRP + install ROM) probably incorrectly because i couldn't get the fingerprint sensor and other stuff to work at all.
Today my phone turned off by itself with around 70% of battery left and it's not responding anymore. Cannot go into Recovery mode, not even to Fastboot. Connected it to the charger and have the red light of the devil blinking... Tried to do everything i found online but i couldn't get into EDL mode (and then Flash through MiFlash), since fastboot is not working at all.
I really don't wanna have to open the back of the phone and. What can i do to save the phone? Is there any proven solution and a comprehensive guide to this (for a total idiot like me)?
Yes there is deep flash cable method search on xda/youtube it works like a charm,😉, this method saved me once
Try this (http://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-note-3/how-to/guide-how-to-flash-hard-bricked-redmi-t3490055) works 100%
Try to disconnect and reconnect the battery.
This has kicked me into EDL mode once and after flashing it was fine
Both methods are sound, but if you decide to remove the back cover, remember to eject the SIM card tray first
Thanks for the replies, i was hoping i wouldn't have to have to open the back cover and disconnect the battery but it seems to be the only option at this point.
The deep flash cable doesn't seem that difficult tho, why don't you give it a shot? It seems like that's what they use at MI service centres after all.
So i have managed successfully to have the pc recognise the device as Qualcomm Hs USB Qdloader 9008, opened the MiFlash tool and recognised the device, but when i try to flash a stable MIUI rom i get an error: "Write timed out" as many times i tried to do it.
Does anybody have a suggestion?
My device was unlocked officially and i have no recovery no fastboot nothing at all.

Hi guys,
I've flashed the 7.2.24 firmware (Kenzo) from this post and now my device is hard bricked.
Won't even show MI logo when i try volume down + power.
Plug in usb on PC gets unknown device and can't install driver.
I do get flashing red light when USB plugged in.
Never been so mad since this is the first time I hard brick my device after so many years...
any thoughts?

Just use MiFlash and flash stock ROM. It's soft bricked.
This method will not erase your data: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=71210207&postcount=129
Hi,
I have an hard bricked ASUS ZB501KL with the whole eMMC erased, actually very hard bricked shall we say.
Now my phone is recognized as Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008 (it goes automatically in this mode without pressing any button) and whenever I plug in the USB Port(S) I get a BSOD, and that happens on all the PCs I've tried (they don't even boot while the phone is attached), so it may be an hardware problem. In usbdeview the device is shown as deactivated and I can't enable it.
Does anyone know how can I activate it? If so, may it be that my device does not go "legitimately" in this mode because of the completely erased eMMC? Thanks for all your replies...

Hi @zee95 , I have the same problem, I bricked it trying to flash it, now it doesn't turn on not even the boot led nor recognized by PC when I plugged it with usb
Can you guide me please with the steps you followed to unbrick, how did you shorten those points. Thanks in advance @zee95
How you are flashing rom ?
The one i used with an incorrect firmware was Factory Tool v 1.46.
After that the box never turned on, nor even the t9 boot screen or the blue front leds. Also unable to been recognized by any flash tool.
I have tried with SD Card with firmware (using Rockchip Create Upgrade Disk) , hit reset button and power on, but nothing.
Also tried shortening with a clip and needle the two points you mentioned in the picture and plug the power cable at the same time but nothing.
Regards
Having same problim
when ever i connect to pc its in maskrom mode and cant exit from it
plz help
Hi Everyone,
I have a 4 year old Nokia 7.1 that was working fine a week ago with Android 10.
I accidentally let the battery drain out, phone would not turn on - no Android, no download mode, nothing on the screen however I turn it on - power/volume up/down, etc
I have replaced the battery with a brand new one (very carefully).
New to Android flashing but...
On attaching to PC I get HS-USB Diagnostics 9008 device. I have QFIL, QPST, firmware, firehose programmer for SDM636, etc.
I have shorted pins 3,4 internally, rebooted phone, battery in, battery out. Whatever I do it won't enter EDL mode to try reflashing.
QFIL always says - Switch to EDL Fail Failed to Switch to Emergency Download Mode.
Tried Linux with sahara, etc and phone is visable, but again no respose - can't enter EDL mode.
I have a feeling the hardware may be fried anyway
Am I doing something wrong? Any ideas? Do HMD block EDL?
I think its a lost cause...
Thanks.
