so a friend of mine flashed twrp on his mediatek variant of redmi note 3 , he forgot to wipe the data before flashing the custom rom and ended up with a hard bricked phone, it doesn't charge nor turns on, some times its red led turns on when I plug it to a charger or connect it to a computer. It gets recognized by the computer (confirmed via Devices & Printers) but it keeps connecting and disconnecting due to which when I try to flash the stock rom via SP Flash tool it gives me a bunch of errors mostly different every time. Like 1042, 4032, 5054, 1532 etc.
Any suggestion to fix this problem would be appriciated
Hey I hope you guys are able to help me, so onto my problem : it happened all a few months ago while flashing (can't remember exactly what) that my device won't boot it vibrates and then gets stuck at the M logo. I already went into boot loader and wiped cache etc: nothing. I have a locked bootloader status 0 and adb & fastboot installed on my PC, I charged my phone to 100% tried connecting it via USB but in the bootloader it doesn't change into transfer mode. It doesn't get recognised by the PC at all (im gonna try another cable in a bit) although it does charge through the USB port, as for the drivers I have the official Motorola drivers installed but to no avail.
Could it be that USB debugging is off due to me wiping everything and thus I can't connect via adb? How would I go about flashing in this case. Any help is highly appreciated you guys are my last hope
Hey, i have a Xiaomi Note 3 Pro Kenzo and one day he just turned off and never went back again. When i plug it on pc, it just shows black screen, flashes the red light multiple times and it's recognized as Qualcomm HS-USB Diagnostics 900E.
I've already searched online and seems that my phone is stuck on EDL mode, so I made it go to the real EDL mode that allows me to flash it a new rom. I managed to make my pc recognize as Qualcomm 9008.
Beeing that, I tried to flash a rom but at the mi flash 20160330 it gets stuck on: "send nop command" forever and at the mi flash 2170425 it gets the error : "<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?><data><log value="init storage:fail " /></data> "
I've got another redmi note 3 pro, and I can flash it, so I don't there's any problem with my computer, but the info is:
Windows 10 Pro 64x
Safe Drivers Disable
If anyone can help...

Seems like a problem with the emmc chip. Get the device checked to make sure that your emmc is not faulty. If the emmc is safe, contact me and I'll help. Until then good luck.

Forget about warranty, get it checked at a local store.
I have faced this too ,3 months ago , you just need to open the case and then remove the unplug the battery cable then flash the fastboot ROM ,yes the PC will give give enough power to flash ,you must not replug the battery while flashing ,now when the flash is don't unplug the USB cable and put it in charger by hitting power button for 8 secs it will not charge then immediately replug the the battery cable then again press the power button for 8 sec till it reboots ,boom your system will boot

Try flashing after removing the battery like Aditya said it worked on my friends phone.

It's already in EDL 9008 mode, I used the test point. Don't know if the DFC will do anything different, but will try it anyway if the way Aditya told me don't work
I should explain you fully
1)removing battery will keep the phone in edl mode but it will solve your error of mi flash is mi flash will successfully flash the fastboot ROM ,remember you need to first remove the battery cable then insert phone ,no light will blink but it will be recognized as qsp loader port in your PC ,don't worry
2) after successfully completing the first step flash the complete fastboot ROM ,it should go success
3)now don't replug the battery cable now ,do nothing ,just insert cherger and press power button as long as the screen don't turn on ,when it will turn on the battery bar wouldn't go up, then without removing the charger cable from phone ,insert battery, you will see that battery is still not charging, nothing to worry this was just to turn the display on ,now again press the power button for 10 to 14 sec so that the device reboot and boom your phone will start charging and after you can successfully boot into system and use your phone.
4)this is if you still cannot successfully flash using mi flash tool just unplug all a the cable which you see after opening back case don't worry you just have to open the cables which you see ,you don't have to unplug those cables in which you have to open screws etc .
Hope this will help you

Hey man, didn't work, I disconnected the battery as you said and still got the error when I tried to flash. I downloaded the last rom available from xiaomi site (kenzo_global_images_V9.5.3.0.MHOMIFA_20180405.0000.00_6.0_global_7b6353b764), but still nothing.
I guess it's the EMMC chip alright ;x, but thx anyway

Already tried, didn't work, but thx anyways man
Just plug it in to a wall charger. I had the same issue even after edl flash miui rom but charging it fixed my problem. Follow these steps.
1- plug it in
2- ignore the red led blinking
3- wait for 5 min.
4- it will boot.
5- if doesn't, I'm sorry
Hey guys,
I've hard bricked my Sonim XP7 and was able to get it into Qualcomm EDL mode. I've reflashed the stock image through QFIL but just as I thought the flash was done (full blue bar and "reset done" message), I unplugged it to say that it had lost connection. Next thing I know, I get the charge LED but nothing else. Computer doesn't recognize it and I've tried the cable method to go into EDL by shorting Data- and GND. Nothing works.
Any tips? :crying::crying:
same here, sad
Hello Members,
The device was stuck in boot loop so i tried to flash via EDL mode. First it came to edl mode but while flashing i got some XML error. Now i tried to put the phone again in EDL mode but its not working.
I had removed the battery and and i have connected to 2 jumper pins 1 and 4 and connect the usb but the phone dont seems to come to edl mode. just flashes the MI screen and power off repeatedly.
Now i connect the phone directly with battery on and its coming as charging but surprisingly the phone got detected, the device manager shows the phone as Linux file stor gaget usb device. I tried to flash with mi flash tool and its running indefinitely saying flashing..
