Hi, does anyone know if I can charge this phone using a quick charge 3 charger? Is there a benefit or it will charge at a quick charge 2 speed? Thank you.
You can charge it just fine with a QuickCharge 3 charger (QC3 is backwards compatible) but there is no benefit as the phone will charge at QuickCharge 2 speeds (15W max).
(As an aside to this question, you can also charge with a charger that provides 15W ([email protected]) over USB Power Delivery and USB-C.)

I have bought 2 different Quick charge 2.0 chargers. My chargers are not reaching 9v and also not charging my phone in one hour as they say should but taking two hours.
I have reached out to HTC and told them that is not charging at 9v and they told me to replace the charger.
I'm attaching some screenshots from Battery Monitor Widget showing it's not reaching 9v.
Was wondering if anybody else is reaching 9v and having better charging times.
The chargers I've used are:

Anker A2130
According the specification out V10 supports Quick Charge 2.0.
Does this mean any charge that support Quick Charge 2.0 should work? or it more hit or miss?

and when I connect it I don't see it indicating quick charge.

This one is tricky. Regular high-amp (2.1A) chargers don't seem to do the trick; its more about amps AND volts on this phone. The only other charger I've gotten 'fast charging' to work with is the Motorola Turbocharger I got with my Nexus 6. I suppose if you found a charger that outputs the same amperage and voltage as the LG charger it would work, in theory.
The charger that came with mine is a fast charge charger. It shows fast charge when I plug it in.
The charger that comes with does indicate quick charging when I plug it in to it.
But the car charger that I purchased that claims quick charging support does not indicate quick charging when I plug it in.
Was looking for others experience to decide if I should return and complain.
Unless the chargers say that they are Quick Charge 2.0 or 3.0 they don't quick charge our phones. AC or Cigarette lighter charger. Now, there is at least one brand of charger out there that @ 5 volts DC used to charge my Note 2 at 1800mA, but it was smart not quick.

It does..i bought a quick charger for my htc one m9 before and it shows the fast charging when i tether the v10 to it
The phone will detect if it will quick charge when connected to a QC 2.0, you don't get a QC when you plug it in instantly, it will also depend on how much power you already have in the phone.
Aukey is a authorized with QC 2.0 and is listed in Qualcomm site.

"Quick Charge" is not "Fast Charge" or "Adaptive Charge" - All of my 2.4amp Fast Chargers do not charge the G4 or v10 any faster than an old iphone power cube. YMMV
The V10 is Quick Charge qc (Qualcomm) 2.0.

@ZEROLEMON_OFFICIAL makes one of the best IMHO. Anker, Aukey/Tronsmart, and Motorola Turbo Chargers have qc 2.0 compatible ones. (always a sale on groupon or slickdeals)
Our phone, like the LG G4 switches to Quick Charge when the main screen is off. And tones it down to standard charging speed if you have the main screen on. The v10 Quick Charges at about 2850mA, slightly faster than the G4 at 2000~2200mA, but slower than the Nexus 6 at 2700~3200mA.
Attached are results by CoNsPiRiSiZe on this AT&T variant, and mine on Tmobile variant. Also included is my USB Doctor Sleeve using a Motorola Turbo Charger plugged into the v10 with screen off.
I am using the Samsung adaptive car charger while driving and it shows fast charging on the lockscreen

Turns out I had a bad aukey charger, I bought another for my wife and it works fine, show quick charge.
Returning the bad one and getting another.

I have paid version with notificaion ebabled. But you can run it, leave phone alone so it can meassure. Then turn on screen and screenshot results. It takes a few seconds before it drops or remeassures.
Do these really charge all that much faster than a 2.1a charger? Debating if it's worth it to go invest into a few of these QC chargers.

QC 2.0 allows up to a maximum of 3A of current. Every QC 2.0 enabled device will vary slightly in how much power they can draw due to internal circuitry. The V10 charges at about 2.85A as shown by Clockcyle so yes, a QC 2.0 charger will charge faster than a standard 2.1A charger.

Using the app Ampere, my V10 does not take advantage of the fast charge 2.0. I get to charging at or around 700mA, but mostly sub 500mA or less. I've tried using the charger that came with the phone, I purchased an Anker 40W 5-Port charger and recently a Mobiilink 6-Port 60W charger all with the same results. Any ideas as to what may be wrong (if any). My phone has been charging for the last 3hrs and is only at 50% after being plugged in at 9%. Thanks in advance for any help.

As far as I can determine, neither of the chargers you mention are Qualcomm Quick charge certified. So you won't be able to get the fastest charge with them. Anker does make chargers that are qualcomm certified, but the one you have isn't. Mobilink has zero devices that are certified.
No matter what words are used by the manufacturer, unless they are qualcomm certified you are more than likely out of luck..
What about the charger that came with the phone? It is certified and will most definiitely give you a fast charge.
The V10 is equiped with qualcomm fast charge 2.0 technology. Fast charge 3.0 is available on a few devices and there are lots of manufacturers advertising chargers that are quallcomm fast charge 3.0 certified. I personally would avoid these as they won't speed up the charge rate of the V10 and are usually sold at a premium price.
Thanks for the reply. The phone DOES quick charge. It seems that when I'm using the phone while charging, it charges slowly (>500mA) . When I set it down, it will charge fast (<1.5A). The charger that came with the phone is Qualcomm fast charge 2.0 as well as the 5-port Mobiilink (only one port).
Hey, is it safe to use original 45W Samsung charger daily? Got it for nice price ($25) from friend's shop.
I read somewhere it's not recommend to use 45W. Also I read S20+ supports 25W only.

I have the 45w charger. Charging speed depends on the phone temperature. The phone slows down the charging when phone temperature gets high. It's marginally faster than the one that came with the phone. But it's super fast charging for the first 30 minutes or so compared to our of the box.
So i use the 45w charger at office when I need to charge the phone fast and seldom fully charge it as I would unplug it and go somewhere else.
At home I just plug in the charger that came with the phone for overnight charging. Perhaps not the best to leave it charging overnight but I need a full battery next day.
Even if the charger provides 45w, the phone will only pull what is needed from the charger itself. So if the phone limits itself to 25w, then thats all it will use from the charge available.
Equally, if the charge provided is lower than the maximum the phone can use (i.e. 25w phone but 15w charger), then it will use the maximum from the charge available.
Chargers these days offer a multitude of different voltages and amp ratings, but they are smart and will only send what is requested by the device that is plugged in so there's no chance of accidental over-voltage.
I too have the 45W samsung travel charger and did a comparison on power draw compared to the 25W charger that is included with the phone. I used both the USB C cable that came with the phone (Black) and the thicker cable that came with the 45W charger (White), while measuring the power draw using a power consumption meter that was plugged into the wall between the charger and the outlet. My phone was at 40% charge when I tested. The results are shocking.
Included 25W charger
Phone's Black cable - 27.9 W
Charger's White cable - 27.2 W
Samsung 45W travel charger
Phone's Black cable - 29.7 W
Charger's White cable - 31.3 W
The similar power draw explains the charging speed difference of 10 minutes which many reviewers on youtube have observed. Taking another step, I have read that the S20 Ultra requires the charger to support PPS to achieve (10V, 4.5A) in order to charge at 45W. So why does the 45W travel charger only support (15V, 3A), (20V, 2.25A), (3.3-11V, 4.05A), (3.3-16V, 2.8A) and (3.3-21V, 2.1A)? Even the best case scenario would be to use the (3.3-11V, 4.05A) PPS profile and set it to (10V, 4.05A) to give only 40.5W. I smell a rat.

Baseus 65W PPS chargers triggers SFC 2.0 but it takes more than 2h to charge fully. Amperage is oscilating as hell.

I have been continuously testing and found that if your phone has less than 30% battery and the battery temperature is under 33 ÂșC, it will charge at 40W. After that, it drops to 30W for the remainder of the charge and then drop again to 20W when the battery is above 80%.
Next step is to find a good battery data logging app which logs battery percentage, battery temperature, charging current and time. Surprising to find that not many apps can do this. Even the Battery Charging Monitor app doesn't log all that data.
Hi, I would like to ask about SuperDart 65W (10V, 6.5A) from Realme 7 Pro. It charges every of its two batteries at 5V and 6.5A (32.5W each) but I found information that it suppots Power Delivery and Quick Charge 18W as well. With PD and QC you can charge the battery at 9V , 12V, 15V etc. but not 10V. Does anyone know at what voltage the smartphone will be charged if you use PD or QC charger?
Is it safe to charge it with higher/less voltage? (e.g. 2x4.5V or 2x6V if 5V is needed for one battery)
And what about the standard 5V chargers and usb 3.1 (e.g laptop)? Is it possible to charge 7 Pro with it?
Generally, all fast charges will drop ther voltage when the connected phone doesn't support it.
With lower voltage you wont have any problems other than the speed of charging, which will obviously decrease
Standard 5V chargers will work just fine
Normal laptop usb will work just fine, in fact you will be lucky if the laptop supports any sort of fast charging at all
You are 100% safe to charge with pretty much any charger to my understandment
