46°C is normal when browsing, watching YT, playing PUBG or any games. 50°C-60°C is still good but don't let it go to 70°C might you will experience system crashes, unexpected reboot or system damage

Thank you for the reply but my doubt is, it as liquid cooling system and many of u posted that it reaches 46°c while playing pubg, but normal use also it reaches 46°c???

What is the ambience temperature when you're using? If you're in a room with temperature of 40, then the device will reach 45 bro.
YouTube is also a heavy app.
Try to factory reset and then start as new and not copy data from drive. It helps for some reason.

The problem is people dont factor in the ambient temperature. Sit in a room without fan in summer season and you will heat up. Similarly your phone is heating since its summers in india. The temperature has risen by 10-20 degrees celsius in the last couple of months. So that affects your cell too.
The normal room temperature in india in summers without active cooling is around 35. Your phone cannot go below that temp no matter the liquid cooling.
So to your question, its summers so thats why 46 is normal under load. Sit in a ac room or a cooler place and you will not notice heating. Its just plain old physics.
Nothing wrong with your phone. And naturally when phone temp rises, battery drains faster. So chillax and wait for the summers to pass.

Ok u people say 46 is normal ?
But none others heat this much .
OnePlus while charging stays at 38 ..
Redmi n7 stays at 39 ...
Then why my poco reaches 46 in the normal time even if I don't use the device
All this numerical value are seen at the same time and same Place with same apps running

The same frekin issue I'm facing

The Oneplus and Note 7 is it yours?
Test it at the same place?

Heating issue on poco
Yeah I'm also facing same issue
When I put my poco f1 to charge it's gets heated up very quickly
Also while playing pubg, it gets heated a lot more than expected.
Is it a software issue after the update 10.3.4 or is my Liquid Cooling not working?

Are you using any custom rom or a custom kernel?

You know nothing OP!
When your phone goes above 65 is when you need to start to worry a bit. Just use your phone, enjoy and read a little bit about second law of thermodynamics..
P.S Please stop posting stupid things on this forum, there are 1000 threads about "heating". They are all bull****, but they exist, search them.

[Q] s6 edge get hot..

A heating problem, no. It will get warm if you push it but it is well within anything normal. My m8 got hotter and from what I can tell the m9 will get even hotter.

I buy new s6 edge...last night i was doing skype video chat..and its get very much over heat even difficult to touch...it...i ask from dealer he said its normal in everyphone
Thats y i ask...
Mine gets hot with YouTube and app downloads/updates. Hot enough where the camera disabled the flash because of heat.
I think is a problem with the edge, and needs to be fixed.

not have any problems with heat...
Mine barely gets warm, even when playing demanding games.
Got my Phone yesterday. During setup it got so hot that I had to take a break. Multiple breaks because i couldn't hold it any longer. I will see how it's doing today.
Battery dropped after one hour already 11% today... Maybe 30min screen on time has something to do with it
Just needed to get it out of my pocket.. GSam nearly 30°C
Dont know but it feels extreme Hot.. maybe the glas surface?
While surfing on my way home it reached 35°C and this feels really uncomfortable!
Mine also gets starts to get warm rather quickly. Usually starts on the back of the phone near the camera. So I guess that's normal? I'm just wanting to make sure it's not my phone that has a problem...
SuperG03
Bought yesterday Alhumdulillah. It was quite hot, did a factory reset (one is enough, else do twice). The max temp i'm getting on full load is 42c, idle is ~31c.
HTC phones can go very got... you can easily reach 70-90 degree
Mine can get pretty warm. At times it is cool and other times it can get warm to hot.
Mine barely gets warm, even when stressed. I firmware updated and factory reset it as soon as I took it out of the box though.
I stressed tested mine with a few antutu stress tests back to back and couldn't get it over 31C. Ambient temp around 22C
Hello all,
S6 edge user in india here, mine is a 64gb model. Any heavy/slightly heavy usage gets my phone to heat up. So much so that it becomes uncomfortable sometimes. To be double sure of the issue, i installed AnTuTu benchmark app, there i found a temp section of the device.
I did a small test. Please see.
Room Temp: 26-28C
Device temp before the game: 31C
Played the game (Duck Tales Remastered) for 10 mins.
Device temp just after the game: 35C
I dont play games on my phone due to this. Is this normal, or shall I be taking the phone to Samsung official here?

all OK..HTC phones gets hot they reach 90c ..therefore no problems if your phone can get that warm..it's a PC powerphone..you have an Octavia core processor..and likely nothing what cool down..on PC you have a fan..or..simply think about that such temperature is normal
...
Mine is weird. If i watch video ok YouTube o browser based video, my phone can get pretty hot. But when playing games, it doesn't feel hot lol
I have the same problem, when i use Chrome it gets very hot about 72C .... Did i need to send it back?

Dude stop advising people that it is acceptable to have a phone reach 90c...
Anything about 40-50 is an issue. These arm based cpu have low thermal limits and usually do not get excessively hot under normal to light heavy use
My s6 is not warm to touch but keeps shutting down to cool off. Now the phone has been off for 10hrs and will not let me charge it due to battery being too hot but again the phone isn't even warm to touch

[Q] My z2 is Overheating

Just bought my z2 yesterday my phone cpu temperature is always 55 some time go to 60
I think battery drain fast to i lost 4% in 10 min and battery temperature is 38 Dunno where is the problem i hope some one help and sry for my bad english
Phone running on lollipop and no apps running just screen and data on
My Z2 only starts overheating when I play Hitman Go, or while watching videos while the phone is charging.
Try leaving the phone on stamina mode. Also your phone could be struggling to find data towers hence the extra power Drain.
Try downloading watchdog lite and see what is abusing your cpu. In my case it was Facebook messenger. It got my phone to 67 degrees Celsius and used around 50% of cpu just by running in background
Sent from my D6503
the Z2 has been noted to have a hardware issue that causes overheating
it lacks a heat sink and a heat basin where as newer xperias have this
sony has improved the temperature throttling in lolipop

I kept managing to hit 65-70 by doing next to nothing. Quashed Google now wakelocks and turned some of its features off. Now hitting 55 max. Try that. I'm on KK by the way.

I also noticed that on 4.4.2 I got crazy overheating issues but the second I updated to 4.4.4 and higher they went away.
I'm not really sure if Android version changed anything for me... Basically, when traveling (brightness around 70%, listening to music and using LTE with poor signal I get ~43°C on battery). Another example... Streaming internet radio over LTE for longer periods of time = frying pan. So, when I don't really need LTE I use 3G and it's about half the usual temp. I would get... But as I said, it depends on signal strength... About CPU/GPU... Well, let's say that the recent discussions about 810 overheating make me smile

One plus x heating issue

I got my one plus x 2 days back and I love the phone. But I have some issues with heating. When I am normally using the phone for stuff like watching YouTube videos or texting the temperature is around 40 C .Even now as I write this the temperature is around 41 C. When I am playing games the temperature is around 43 C to 44 C . Is this temperature normal or is my phone overheating? I am scared now and I am thinking about a refund .Because even when I start using the phone it feels warm and temperature is around 39-40 C.
That's totally normal. Don't worry
My oneplus one was always about 50°C
Right now my oneplus x is 40°C
Quite normal. The phone doesn't feel hot to the hand though. It registers such temperatures in some apps. This operating temperature is quite less compared to some other phones I've used.
Will it affect the battery or the mother board ,because its always around 40 C ??
I have had major problems with my One Plus X too. Overheating was the big one. At the advice of many forums and One Plus - I sent it in for service. They tried to charge me $204 to replace the unit, because it had a small crack on the side of the screen, and was beyond economical repair. Then they said it was a defective battery. THEN they admitted it was a defective motherboard - and when I argued that they need to repair the device, they told me because it has a crack on the screen - they HAVE to replace the screen, they cannot just repair the motherboard. What the f*ck does a small crack (which you can't even see with the factory skin on it) have to do with the motherboard? And WHY should I have to pay for it - ESPECIALLY if the ONLY reason it was sent for service in the first place was a defective motherboard which was causing the device to get EXTREMELY HOT and then power down with 30% battery?
Needless to say - I declined the service and asked them to send me back my phone. They won't ....... Since then, they've offered to repair my phone for $82 if I'd only pay for the screen. But wait, wasn't it $204? So, they were trying to make me pay for the defective motherboard too?!?
It's been 28 days and they still have my phone. All thet will tell me is that "someone is looking into it" - but nothing is happening. So. Long story short BUYER BEWARE - the internet is full of horror stories about the terrible support from One Plus.....

Honor 7 heating issue

Hello,
I have bought this phone a week ago. During the first charging itself I noticed a heating, but I thought it will be okay.. but still the issue persists. Can anyone share your battery temperature and thermals of the phone during normal 3g internet browsing and charging. I'm desperate because I have never heard anyone complaining about heating issue in this phone.
Please help.
Also please share your battery usage status with 3g internet.
I am attaching the temp info jus after using 3g for about 30 minutes.
Why wouldnt anyone reply ? Please share the temperature details of your phone during normal 3g internet surfing and gaming. Please help
Hey there. Are you still using this phone? I bought this phone 3 weeks ago, used it lightly, mostly for Whatsapp, internet browsing, Facebook & Games(only 2 times I played a racing game for around 20 minutes).
So far I have the heating problem issue. When I used whatsapp to chat for around 10 minutes, the temperature rises up from a normal 32 degrees to 36 degrees normally. And when I use browser for Facebook and reading forums, it goes up to 38 if 10 mins to 20 mins. It warms up fairly quickly and get heated up if so long. I use Ampere to measure my temperature.
Have you found the solution to this? I'm thinking of sending my phone to service by Huawei..
here are my temperature information right after charging. I'll add one soon during charging...
Thanks. I just downloaded the CPU-Z app, I checked my battery info, it's still 32 degrees when not really in used. I'll give an update when I'm browsing or playing with the phone. Can you check your battery temperature as well?

(Discussion And Feedback) POCO F1

Hi Everyone.
From Last 8-9 Days I'm Facing Heating ISSUE in My Poco F1 ROSSO RED 6+64 GB.
In Normal Usage Battery Temperature Gone To 40 Degrees And While Playing Games Like PUBG Battery Temperature Is 45-46 Degrees.
I Tried A Factory Reset Formated All My Data
Clean Flash.
Tried With Other Kernals Tried With Custom Rom But Same Problem Battery Heating issue.
Where is The Liquid Cooling.
Other Phones like OnePlus 6 You Can Play PUBG While Charging The Device But Never Face Heating ISSUE.
PoCo F1 Comes With Liquid Cooling.
But Heating ISSUE Is A Very Big Problem For Me.
I Saw On Mi Community. Users Also Facing Same Problem.
Is There Any Fix For This Problem.
Provide Your Feedback HERE.
maybe because of thermal profile of miui. i think thermal profile is the cause of this..

with Normal Usage Like YouTube WhatsApp Phone calls Battery Temperature is 40 Degree.
Snapdragon 845 Easily handle This.
Cpu temperature is Normal but battery temperature is high.
I flashed stock thermals but didn't work.
Liquid cooling was for the CPU, not for the battery.
(Look at the video of JerryRigsEverything's teardown video on Pocophone F1)
The normal working temps for the Lipo battery (Lithium Polymer Battery) which Pocophone F1 has, is -20°c to 60°c during discharge but when recharging, you should have temps around 0°c to 45°c so it is better to charge it IDLE, not charging it while gaming.
The effects when charging it while using it or like doing heavy task will sometimes discharging it while charging (thermal throttling) when above 45°c and disables the Quick Charge feature.
I've tested it myself. So you should not use your Phone while charging unless you use it for light usage while charging (Browsing FB, watching memes on 9Gag, etc.)
Conclusion:
Yes, 40°c in normal usage is normal and 45-46°c is good.
Just don't charge it while gaming.
I didn't charge the phone while Playing games.
Temperature Gone 45 Degrees.
But first when I got this poco F1 never facing heating issue.
I think it's related to vendor.

Already Tried not too much difference.
Now This Vendor 9.1.24 is Outdated.
I tried with 9.4.1 battery temperature 46 while playing games.
Always stay at 40 Degree.
Hope Xiaomi Will Fix This Very Irritating issue.
Edit-
I am using 9.4.12 miui EU with arter97 r4 kernel heating issue completely gone.
In latest update heating issue coming again.
45-46 while playing games.
Always stay on 40 degree.
