Hi, i recently noticed that normal audio device, high impedance device & external audio device modes are no longer displayed when connecting the respective device. Is there any issue with my phone or has lg disabled the feature in oreo update? Thank you.

When i first used v30 i didn't had any app but still normal, high impedance etc was shown. Did lg change something in oreo? Also in my v20& g6 i still have the modes shown even after oreo.

It should still be there. I was just suggesting an app that will definitely show it.

Not all V30 models ever had that feature to begin with. For example T-Mobile H932 (which I have) never had it in any version, it was always stripped when T-Mobile did their thing. A few other models are the same.
That's where the HiFi Status app from Play Store that @ChazzMatt referred to comes in handy.

And you do use an original set? That ain't perfect. I use several different sets and experience no noise. Try a different headset to see if the issue persists.

Noise appears only when you use ViperFX, or by manually configuring the equalizer. For LG G2 has a fix, but for the LG G2 mini fixation not.

I am using DSP that I downloaded from CM11 as righ now I am on Paranoid but I do not have this issue. But again I am using a Solo Republic headset and it has abbilities to minimise this. Just guessing as I really don't get any kind of that trouble. Did you try to change equalizer settings?

This problem is at all, who on runoff firmware. But only when using specific equalizer settings.
Not sure if I'm the only one having this issue or not, but I have the T-mobile LG V30 and I'm not able to play sound to two Bluetooth devices at one. I was able to do this very easy on my S8, but on the V30 seems to only allow one device at a time, unless I'm missing something.
If in fact this works for anyone else can you please tell me how you got it to work? So far I only been able to switch to one of the two devices not play at the same time.
I had the same issue. S8 plus I had prior connected easily. I do remember reading about another phone, maybe the HTC U11 having Bluetooth 5.0, but it needed am update to work. Maybe the case with the v30 as well

I had the same issue and forgot to ask here / search for a solution. It seems I can connect to two Bluetooth speakers simultaneously, but I am then prompted to choose one as an audio listening device, canceling out the other.

Yep that exactly what I get, sounds like it will just need to be a software update to fix unless we are missing something which sucks!
They might have decided the quality wasn't what was hoped for. From every review I've seen of BT5 streaming audio to two devices, one is always a hair off from the other. That would be annoying to me.
This requires Android 8, which the V30 does not yet have.

Don't know where you heard that from? The s8+had this a while ago and that doesn't have official 8.0.
This is where I first learned of the feature, 6 months ago, using a S8 w/ Nougat as a demonstrator.

Yeah not true S8 and note 8 had it's just a Bluetooth 5.0 thing....
I'm guessing Bluetooth 5.0 means it's allowed but the software is what makes it work....
With the oreo update now released has anyone been able to make this work? I don't see a dual audio settings menu in settings like on an S8

I can't find it either, it probably doesn't exist.
It's working great on my S9+
Goto settings, connections, Bluetooth, use the three dot menu, click dual Bluetooth.
One down side is you are forced to turn off volume button media control.
Sound is fantastic and so close you cannot hear any sync issues. I'm using two Jbl flip 3's and have tried Deezer & SoundCloud apps.
Have fun!

Right, I read up on it and found this video. Oreo has dual BT but needs hardware to support.
I should probrably clarify just a little about the dual-audio for bluetooth. So with Bluetooth 5.0 by default you can connect to multiple devices, but you can only stream audio to one device at a time. The limitation is at the Bluetooth chip (transmitter) level. So if you're looking for "dual-streaming"...the hardware on the V30 won't be able to support.
The S8 has dual because Samsung made it work, not nougat android.

I probably will never use the DAC feature as i never use wired anything anymore. I have a pair of Bob Marley headphones and a 2014 Kia soul that I use with the v30. This phone seems to put out no bass at all so I tried to get my Bass Booster Pro app that has been working for the last five years for my bass needs and it wouldn't mod any sound. I went around from site to site getting several recommended bass boosting equalizers but not a single one works(oddly). My previous phone the LG G5 didn't have this problem. I am on pandora a lot and cannot find anything to use with it. I use jetaudio for my mp3s and the effects through it are the only ones that I can hear a difference. But when I increase the bass at all it gets distortion from hell. Bass is actually a stress reliever for me and am trying to figure out what I can salvage with this phone or would it be better to just return it?

No, I couldn't get it to work. Seems that the DC is overriding all equalizers even when DC is off. I contacted LG about it but all I was sent in response was how to turn DAC on and I already know how to turn it on and off.

it's a bloody shame that the devs stopped supporting the app, I've used and loved it since 2013

Alright, so at least for my case, I uninstalled Noozoxoide, turned my phone off+wipe cache, and changed the app settings for my native audio-processing app so that it is denied notifications, permissions, removed its default status, and cannot change system settings. After that I reinstalled Noozoxoide and launched it. Interestingly, when I went to settings I saw it was already set as a default app. Just to be certain I went ahead and gave it all the permissions also excluded it from battery optimization. Currently, when playing audio, Noozoxoide is listed under running services (in developer options) as "in use" and "started by application". The native app doesn't show up at all, having apparently been excluded from being used. So far Noozoxoide hasn't had any problems with crashing or being taken over by the native app.

So what app exactly did you deny notifications, permissions, and remove its default status? The native audio-processing app on my device (Verizon V30) is the Hi-Fi Quad DAC. Can't find an app associated with it anywhere...

simply switching it off doesn't work? can you find it under your system apps in your app manager? It might not be listed as "Hi-Fi Quad DAC" word-for-word.
There is now a possibility, if you use Viper4android, the dac to turn on, but then you do not have the funny default settings lg offers, but you can set the dac via viper with

Huh? I use ViPER4Android and also the "Hi-Fi Quad DAC" and I see all controls as separate. I don't get where you're saying that you can do anything specific to the DAC from V4A. Please explain. I wish LG offered more configuration options for the DAC however. It seems like there should be plugins for it? I saw something in the LG store where you could purchase other "Hi-Fi" stuff for it but I'm not clear what you're getting there.
So just like with other OnePlus phones, since the introduction of Dolby Atmos, EU devices are missing the equaliser option from their settings. The solution to get it back was quite simple: You could install the global AA firmware and the setting would re-appear. Better yet it was discovered that you could simply install the Dolby Atmos APK from the Razer 2 and get even more control.
Now that we're dealing with Dirac, it's clear that installing the Dolby Atmos APK won't do us any favours, so back to plan A: install the India firmware (this time DA - AA firmware is out there, but not on Oxygen Updater yet). However, it turns out that was wasted effort as, despite now being on India firmware, the option is still missing.
Now I know there is (or was) an equaliser option on the Nord - as I've spotted it in various Indian review vids.
For example, here is the XDA review of the EU Nord, which lacks the option: https://www.xda-developers.com/oneplus-nord-review/ | [Dirac Audio Tuner]
And here is an example of the Indian Nord, which has the option: https://youtu.be/q476VlnRsbQ?t=765
So this begs the question - have OnePlus introduced further checks to disable the option for EU units? Or have they simply removed the option for everyone?
It'd be interesting to see whether other people are seeing the option and whether there's anyone out there with the global firmware (AA) and what they see
Hey I just flashed my EU device with the global FW and still got no EQ
But I just did it via local update and did not wipe, maybe that helps.
Would be awesome to activate it with adb or something
I don't have it in my Indian variant. It's only there when I connect an earphone.

If that's the case, sounds like they just outright removed the option.
Must admit, the version shown in the YouTube video did look like the dolby atmos eq. Perhaps dolby weren't to happy about that and told OnePlus to remove it... We can only speculate.

That is not the equilizer as mentioned in the TS: https://youtu.be/q476VlnRsbQ?t=765
But I understand correctly there is no solution to get the equaliser working on the Nord? That is a real bummer! Because sometimes you just want to add a little bit of bass or surround to your source. Isn't there anything we can do? Like complaining @ One+?
I do have Equalizer in India. But this works only when earphones are connected.

Latest version? Else we can install the Indian version and this would fix our problems.
Why doesn't EU and Global versions doesn't have an equalizer pffff.. Due to restrictions? It's just an equalizer. Can somebody explain why?
I have added an idea for the equalizer. Please vote, and hopefully they will add this option: https://www.oneplus.com/nl/communityideas#/detail?threadId=1662

Possibly some patent (infringement) they would need to pay for, or some law around data collection being broken. there are equalizers in the app store, so you could also say, great, less bloatware on the device
