Do a clean install, worst case do a fastboot install with xiaomi flash tool "official ROM" remember not to choose clean install and lock. Avoid the lock part
After that install what ever ROM and kernel you like.

Reverting back to stock Miui!

I want to apply for that beta testing team. But i have to be on global developer rom and install OTAs twice a week.
Now that i have twrp, stock miui roms cant be flashed and ota's cant be recieved.
I know the simplest method is to just use MI flash and flash fastboot rom.But is there any other way?
I read on xda that some patching of boot.img will work and things but that has to be done everytime with each OTA .
Is there a way i could revert everything back.
What if i flash miui rom through twrp after doing all that boot.img patching and then flash mi recovery removing twrp. Will ota's work?
I would be grateful if somebody briefs me about the process.

You're already safe with ZCX recovery as it includes dm-verify to avoid getting bootloader locked. If you flash the lazy flasher after flashing MIUI, that won't change anything and you will still boot to MIUI. You can flash lazy flasher if you want but its not required.

You are a fool, if you are going to flash official miui.
Because you will end up with bloatware and china letters, etc
If you wan to use miui, simply flash xiaomi.eu
It never locks BL, optimised,...removed china crap. Else is the same china dev base.
Also you have gplay preinstalled and services.

I move to china stable because they dont block 4g network option
It's incredible, nobody has any idea.
1- flash miui rom
2- flash miui firmware
Use always ZXC twrp.
Never use oficial roms, encrypt data partition and can relock bootloader, use xiaomi.eu roms.

I flash miui.EU from latest LOS 14.1. Now I'm facing my setting always force close. Didn't know what to do. Is flashing radio.zip solve this problem? Or just use latest zcx recovery?

tHis setting force close is a known problem. The way to avoid it is to flash any fastboot developer rom(old or new... Doesn't matter) and then flash any latest Xiaomi.eu roms. This is the only solution I found and many have also commented same thing in past......Any other solution? Please do comment

Agree. If you're running MIUI, better run (&/or wait for) Xiaomi.eu's MIUI
I just updated from Miui10 8.9.7 (8.1) to 8.9.11 (9.0) with booting TWRP through fastboot and using TWRP to update. Worked great, no need to wipe data, kept everything as was!

Right after install rom you hv to install Disable_Dm-Verity_ForceEncrypt. After that install magisk.

Little question,
can I install this with locked bootloader and without wiping my data?
At the moment, I am on latest global stable 9.6.7.0
I tried to use the updater app, but I got error message, that I can't flash new android version (9) from 8.1. So maybe I can dirty-update older version with 8.1 and update through updater?

why is that? I've never seen any other device that I've used (Non xiaomi devices, don't know if its a xiaomi thing) return to stock recovery after flashing a ROM. Is it a TWRP bug? If so, I'm waiting for a bug fix.

No you misunderstood me.
I'm not saying recovery partition turns to stock
The system it self, if the rom doesn't have root in it self as is it won't be included. Also when you flash which ever rom, even Samsung for example root disappears the app supersu is still there but you need to run it and let it do its own work to get root back again right.
I'm just saying when ever you install new rom on xiaomi phones and basically any phone root is inactive until you run the app again
No bug, oh and twrp is unofficial that's why encryption isn't working for data partition.
No bugs it's just how it is.

Yeah, I know that root is removed when a ROM is flashed. What I was saying was from my own experience flashing miui 9&10. The recovery goes back to stock. Do you know why that happens? Is there some step that I missed?

If you are installing official updates of rom, like weekly or global version from xiaomi and not a custom rom. What other result did you expect?
If you are, Im not sure anymore but if you at this moment have stock Rom with twrp only and when a new version is released of stock Rom.... Than yes of course the system will be restored since it's stock recovery will be replaced to stock. Not a bug it's commen sense since you are updating to stock which doesn't contain twrp.
If you are using other rom that doesn't flash over /recovery partition, well then that is another story

How about start reading guides. After flashing ROM you have to flash fde zip otherwise your twrp will be replaced with stock recovery. That's the reason why you have to flash it. If you flash that zip you will still have twrp after flashing miui ROM @Zeggi you are wrong

Actually, what the fde does is disables encryption of /data partition.
Twrp is under /recovery partition.
And also I did a test yesterday by restoring my f1 to stock and verified that I didn't have to flash fde and after that I did reset in twrp and flashed fde v2 with magisk which worked also.
Big difference I noticed with fde v2 flashed was that the first boot was very slow and sluggish but after reboot it solved the slow speeds. Other than that I noticed vanced YouTube module in magisk worked for me, before when I hadn't flashed fde vanced YouTube crashed all the time so sure I benefited something out of flashing fde

I had that issue and turned to latest Orange fox.
In my case I had 50% in system but correct percentage in twrp.

a few weeks back i tried Orangefox but it had the same issue ....
am using twrp both official and unofficial and this battery issue comes and goes on the same version.
so it seems all available recoveries are affected by this !?
