Hi,
We have two different apps sending audio to the call audio stream. We need to mute the audio from one or the other app, and do this programatically (ie. a third app, written by us, controlling the audio mute/unmute of each of the other two apps).
Is there a way to do this without rooting the phone or using a custom OS?
Thanks

Hi.
Since I love to play multiple mp3s simultaneously, I was wondering if there is a good way to manage multiple audio sources on android.
Often I like to listen to an audiobook, while listening to music, but this only works really nicely if you can control the volume independently
for multiple applications. Then you can set the music to a lower volume, so it doesn't interfere too much with listening to the audiobook.
I've explored various players and so far I like BSplayer and jetAudioBasic in particular. However, they don't seem able to set the volume
independently from each other and both seem only able to control the main volume that can also be adjusted with the volume buttons on
the side of the phone.
I have a htc one x + and I'd love to hear from other people who have found a solution to this issue of somehow managing multiple apps
that play audio with an independent volume level for each of those apps.
I'd also like to hear about audio playback apps (both free and paid) that might have an option in the settings that toggles whether the
app has a separate independent volume level control.
Or perhaps there are even audio playback apps on android that allow for multiple instances to be run simultaneously (like you can run
multiple instances of winamp on the PC).
thanks in advance for any feedback and kind regards, Niek
I have headphones with a buildin microphone. For some applications, it would be very useful to be able to hear in the headphones what you say into the microphone (for example, when studying a foreign language in a noisy environment).
Is there an application-independent way to enable this functionality or must it necessarily be programmed into each particular application?
Whatever sound-recording app I use it always records via microphone. How can I force internal recording so I can record streams from internet radio? I know there are radio apps that have record function (I use Radio Tuner, but my preferred app is XiiaLive which doesn't have recording)
The method in this link doesn’t work - setting to internal changes nothing:

I just find it absurd that there’s no option (or app that I know of) simply to switch recording source.
Hi. Is it possible to stop TTS app that I use for navigation to talk via Bluetooth? I have problem with this when I'm in the car and my phone is connected with the car audio. When I receive a call all alerts and talks from the navigation app (iGO) goes to the car audio too via the Bluetooth. The sounds from navigation interrupts the phone call and I can't make a normal conversation.
Is there a way to forbid the Vicalizer (my TTS app) from using the Bluetooth even forever?
I am with SGS9 and Android 8.0. Tried couple of audio routing apps e.g. SoundAbout, but the one that seems to help me is not working on Android 8.
I'm looking for an app which can apply filters to the audio input from either built-in microphone or external Bluetooth device (stereo).
The result should be played back to the headphones.
It seems simple but I cannot find any app for that.
Is anyone aware of similar apps? Non root, free or paid.
I found the app "DSP audio filter" which does passband but it seems only to the mono input from the built-in mic.
I would like one that does stereo processing.
