I am trying to activate the OEM on the phone
And as soon as I click it he asks me to reset the device to factory data.
How do I solve this?

Don't believe you can... Part of the process your wanting to do includes a factory data reset.

I recently bought a used samsung s6 edge by e-bay off of someone and most of his information was already deleted. I did a hard factory reset because i wanted to flash en root the phone.
After flashing the Phone i get a message that the Device is locked because of an abnormal factory reset. sign in to the samsung account that you have already signed into on this device to confirm it belongs to you.
Is there another way to bypass this issue?

I currently have a phone that still has a 1 year warranty, and Im about to sell it.
Before doing so, I wanted to make sure that none of my files, accounts or whatever is reachable by the person buying the phone. How do I go about this, without voiding the warranty?
I heared that factory reset isnt 100% proof in this case?

I think Hard reset is useful for you

You should definitely go for a factory reset and bypass the Google FRP protection.
Look through XDA for thread on how to do it.
If you hard reset it your warranty will be voided .

Is there a need to bypass FRP, if there is an option in the settings to perform the factory reset?
And Hard reset = Wipe with TWRP, for example?

Hard reset is the full reset with TWRP , this will void your warranty.
Factory reset is in your settings. If your device runs Android 8.1 , you'll find this option in System-->Reset Option ( or something like that)

Alright, and what the FRP is for ? Checked up on google, it looks like its a protection that doesnt allow someone randomly factory reset it, right?

Yes , that's a protection prevent someone to factory reset your phone , because he can do it without any password , and back in the day , that's how thiefs reset Android device to resell them .
Now you'll have to bypass it to be able to unlock it .
You can also connect to your phone after factory resetting and logout after unlocking if you aren't able to bypass this protection

Not sure how to bypass it. Cant find a legitimate video on my device. LG G6.
Is it not going to allow me to log in with a different email? Is that how it works?

FRP doesn't work like that , only your previous Google Account can unlock the device , so Google know it's you who has reset your device.
I have an s9+ ( TMobile ) and was looking if there is a way to get rid of the FRP (Google Account Verification) through a flaw of in the setup or just flashing it in Odin. Any help is appreciated.

This is not a flaw in the setup or using ODIN. This is an anti-theft measure that prevents the phone from being stolen (or used if lost) by someone. If this is what your seeing after resetting the phone or flashing it and your not the Google Account owner then your options are:
Get the person who had the phone last enter there Google Account details so you can Factory Data Reset the device. Afterwards you should be able to enter your Google Account information and then the FRP lock re-activates (which means your google account would be needed if it happens again).
Return the device (if you purchased it) because it may be lost and/or stolen.
Otherwise if you really are the person whose Google Account was used there are three options. The first two should work, the last is if the first two don't work:
After updating the phone simply sign into the google account using the account name and password. Afterwards just factory data reset the phone from within the settings menu (SETTINGS > GENERAL MANAGEMENT > RESET > FACTORY DATA RESET).
Before flashing any updates perform the factory data reset (SETTINGS > GENERAL MANAGEMENT > RESET > FACTORY DATA RESET).
Seek help from 3rd party companies. You will have to Google search this one on your own, as I will not be able to help because the phone may not be rightfully yours and/or maybe lost and/or stolen. Please note I am not saying it is yours or not, just that it might not be.. Most people won't encounter the FRP lock issue with the phone they own. I have a T978U, stuck in kiosk mode on system startup so only have bootloader and maybe fastboot to do anything. Went to try and factory reset from the bootloader but only has an option to wipe cache, not data or system. What's the best way for me to go about factory resetting and then rooting my Tablet?
*Original owner has been contacted, their isn't a Google account tied to the device but it has an admin password for the kiosk software app that has to be disabled before you can actually use the tablet for anything besides Chrome. Password is through a authentication generator app that doesn't have the security key anymore*

The "wipe data/factory reset" option is not available?
That means that tablet's bootloader and ROM were specially modified for whatever it was being used for before you bought it. Possibly at the factory or more likely a third party provider.
I'm not sure if you are able to do a clean install of a new ROM.
Is it possible for you to take it or send it to a Samsung service center? If you still have the receipt Samsung may do a complete wipe and reset it back to stock. That is not a guarantee though.
Recently purchased a used Galaxy Tab S6. I was warned it had a warning about the bootloader being unlocked. No big deal. The seller couldn't remember his Samsung account credentials so we couldn't factory reset at time of purchase via Settings. No big deal. I went into Download Mode and relocked the bootloader. I went into Recovery Mode and Factory Reset.
Then I ran into "This tablet is protected by Know Cloud Service. To continue setup, connect to a wi-fi or mobile network." I've done that (since I can't skip the step) and get the dreaded "Can't create work profile" error and that's as far as the set up will go.
So I used Odin to flash the latest stock ROM and factory reset again and wiped the cache and I'm still having that problem.
In download mode, I've confirmed that Knox has been tripped.
I've googled like mad and I'm not finding a solution. Can anyone help me out? I'd prefer to stay on Stock ROM so there are no hardware issues (particularly with the SPen) as I'm planning to use this device extensively for note-taking (with OneNote). However, I'm open to custom ROM if that's my best/easiest/simplest route.

If you're able, unlock the bootloader again. When you flashed with Odin, did you use the CSC or HOME_CSC file?

I used CSC. As I understand it, that is the "deeper" reset option.

Correct, that wipes user data.
Unlock the bootloader again, which will wipe the device (again), and see if it's removed the FRP. If not, you should be able to flash TWRP, from which you should be able to flash this to disable the FRP.
I can't access the developer options because I can't get through the setup wizard. So I can't flip the OEM Unlocking so the download mode doesn't give me the option to unlock. I can connect to ADB via the Recovery Mode but Fastboot doesn't see it so I can't do "oem unlock." Are there any other methods to unlock it? My friend Google hasn't found any yet.
Seller was able to login to both his Google and Samsung accounts and remove the device from them. That got me through the 100% Know Enrollment Service before it hung up in the "update" portion again. He was also able to send a message to the tablet from the Samsung account to try and release it further but, of course, since I've wiped it, that message can't get through.
I'm getting desperate. I might have bought a paperweight! Any once else have a suggestion?
Checked with the seller. He bought it from Kijiji as well from the original owner. It's always been a personal device, never an institutional one.
Last night's searching of the internet determined that the device is in "prenormal" status so I'm just going to wait 7 days and reboot. That might be sufficient. Nothing to lose at this point.
