I have tried an AT&T sim card and a T-Mobile sim card in the new phone, but I have been unable to get LTE to work? Does anyone else have this new phone? If so, what carrier are you using and what APN settings are working for you? Better yet, what APN settings dictate the phone to use LTE? I want to use the phone on AT&T. I currently use a V35 on AT&T and when I put the SIM card from it into the Armor 6E, I cannot get LTE. I have tried numerous APN settings without any luck. Can anyone help?
Well a quick check of the AT&T site says maybe not.
https://forums.att.com/t5/Other-Phones-Devices/GSM-network-question-looking-at-purchasing-a-Ulefone-Armor-phone/td-p/5284699
So you maybe better off just returning it.
Armor 6e and AT&T
I also recently purchased a uleFone Armor 6e and have success on the AT&T network. Maybe a replacement SIM is in order ?
Go in the phone's settings, Network and Internet, Mobile network, advanced, access point names. Hit the plus sign at the top and enter these settings:
name - NXTGENPHONE
APN - NXTGENPHONE
Proxy - not set
Port - not set
Username - not set
password - not set
Server - not set
MMSC - mmsc.mobile.att.net
MMS proxy - proxy.mobile.att.net
MMS port - 80
MCC - 310
MNC - 410
Authentication Type - None
APN type - default,mms,supl,hipri
APN protocol - IPv4
Bearer - Unspecified
Those are the settings available from AT&T. Again, you might want to check on a new SIM card. SIM compatibility may be the issue. A compatible SIM card will display 25, 26, 27, or 28 in the ninth and tenth digits spots.
My Armor 6E just automatically worked when I switched the [AT&T] / Straight Talk SIM out of my old phone when I re-activated my service with a PIN card yesterday. It looked like the settings in the last post, but I only had 3G with the "automatic" APN that just showed up upon activation.
When I put the Straight Talk/[tracfone/AT&T] APN settings in a new APN, I got 4G HD.
These are the settings that got me (Straight Talk) 4G HD:
-----
Name: straight talk
APN: tfdata
MMSC: http://mms-tf.net
MMS proxy: mms3.tracfone.com
MMS port: 80
MCC: 310
MNC: 410
You don’t need to setup a username nor password.
-----
These are from here:
https://apn-settings.com/us/straight-talk-apn-settings/
You might try them and see if you get 4G. In my area (mountains of Central Utah), Straight Talk and Tracfone use the AT&T towers. I'm not sure how the legal/contracts end works in other parts of the country.
May try this with my Ulefone Armor 3W

I've been doing research on how to get my Ulefone Armor 3W setup with Straight Talk since I had an issue with my Samsung S9 so I figure it may be a challenge with a phone that's not typically seen on Straight Talk networks (most people have not heard of Ulefone). I don't plan on switching to any phone unless it is android driven os, my wife pulled me from the darkside (i*hone) a few years back and I've never looked back. If there's any other settings you've come across I'd appreciate it though I think I've exhausted all but the dark web of any details on how to setup apn settings on an android device.
My MMS has been broken for a while, and recently I lost 4G with the settings I posted earlier. After a lot of searching I found the following settings that fixed both problems:

Here is an interesting development... I flashed CyanogenMod 10 on my Sony Xperia arc S phone and the ROM downloaded some settings by itself. There are 3 APNs that comes with this ROM.
1. ATT
2. ATT LTE
3. StraightTalk ATT
StraightTalk was picked by default. I was about to delete them all and enter the settings from here but then I received a text message from a friend... Lo and behold, it was a MMS message with a pic attached and already downloaded. I saw that my WiFi was on, so I turned off the WiFi and asked my friend to send me more pics... They all arrived including a video snippet.... Then I sent one, a larger pic, and he received it. All amazed I fired up the CM10's browser and went to www.testmy.net Did a smarttest and my download was 3.4 Mbps and upload was 577 Kbps... In Phoenix, AZ...
Here are the settings that came with CM10 ...

That's the settings I use for straight talk, works great. I get 4g just about everywhere here in pa. Mms works great too. I've had straight talk for a year and a half on at&t. Can't complain. If you use alot of cell data they will throttle you slow, but I'm usually close to wifi. I've heard 2GB then they slow you down.

I'm getting 1.3Mbps down and 657 Kbps up. Pretty happy with it.
To the last poster, I thought Straight Talk didn't offer LTE coverage?! If it did, it'd be an even more amazing deal than I had thought it was!
My data works fine. Got like 6mbps this morn but my MMS wont send for ****. Using an Xperia Ion
Pantech Pocket ATT - Straight Talk MMS Settings
The Pantech Pocket needs to have the Straight Talk APN data loaded to TWO locations.
Both Phone APN and Wap APN need to be setup with the Straight Talk APN settings.
Straight Talk makes it sound like you only need to enter the information in one location.
You need to enter the information in Phone APN and Wap APN, if you want MMS to work!
APN name: Straight Talk
APN: att.mvno
Proxy: Straight Talk value
Port: 80
MMSC: Straight Talk value
MMS Proxy: 66.209.11.33
MMS Port: 80
My Pantech Pocket is running flawlessly on Straight Talk now. MMS is 100% functional. The pictures are getting through. I'm getting 5Mbps download speed and 1Mbps upload speed.
My Pantech burst uses only one apn. On gingerbread and ice cream sandwich. I don't run proxy but the rest of the settings I put in and works good. Seems faster tried it. 40kbps proxy vs 4000kbps no proxy. Not sure why. Any ideas?

HOLY SH!T!!!
I just put in the settings Bushmaster78FS posted and I am now on TRUE 4G with ST. 6Mbps!!! ITS FASTER THAN MY WORKS WIFI BY 3X!!!
AMAZING!!! THANKS BUSHMASTER!
Nice
Thanks for the settings you posted Bushmaster.
The settings provided are the first ones I have used and successfully got both data and mms working with only one APN.
Using Samsung Galaxy S III.
1. My phone is unocked and compatible on both AT&T networks and T-Mobile right now i am using an blue AT&T sim and i am thinking to make the move to T-Mobile network. Do you think i can use the same AT&T compatible sim and just change the APN setting to T-Mobile and have it work on the T-Mobile network or so i have to buy a sim?
2. I heard that you can get a free sim by buying a free phone and just using it on your phone but other people say that those sims are lock to those phones. Which is true?
3. I see that Straight talk sells cheap GSM phones and my GF has her phone on T-Mobile so can i buy one of the ST phones and swap it to use on T-Mobile or are the locked and can they be unlocked?
I just switched from the default straight talk apn to the ones bushmaster posted. I went from 1 mbps to 4.8 on a Nexus 4.

I have a unlocked AT&T Pantech Breeze 3 with a Straight Talk sim in it. Am unable to access the web. All my settings still go to AT&T.
Does anyone know the correct APN settings?
I have to go 3 places to do the setups.

There I can enter Profile Name: MMSC: Connection Type: Proxy Address:& Proxy Port.
Does anyone know the correct values to put in here?
# 2 My Stuff > Applications > Browser > Manage > Profiles
Profile Name : Home URL: Connection Type : Proxy Address: Proxy Port
# 3 Settings > Network Connectivity > Connection Name > APN : Primary & secondary DNS : Linger Time : Authentication: Username :

Does anyone know the correct values that I need to put in here in order to get my phone to go to the web.
I ha ve voice mail, can call and text. Just not access the web. Can anyone help me here?:

anyone try these settings on S2 i9100 and see speed gains?
APN set, no data.
Hey gang, I've looked far-and-wide and haven't been able to locate a solution so, I throw myself on y'all's mercy and ask if anyone has a clue why I can't receive wireless data on my SGT AT&T GT-P1000.
I received my AT&T Straight Talk SIM the other day and porting the phone over was no issue. However, when I set up the APN I did not immediately reboot the phone due to some confusion about when the service actually transferred. Could this have affected my registration on the ST wireless network?
I've entered the APN settings precisely but, alas, still cannot connect to the wireless data. I really want to move over to ST, not only will it save me $30 a month whilst adding an "unlimited" data plan but, best of all, I'll get to tell AT&T to go pound sand.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
did you add in the " http://"?
Does anybody now any way to unthrotte. Since we all now that ST throttle after 5gb. I called to ST customers service, they told me that unlimited data is only for navigation.

Hi,
I have an HTC Droid Incredible LTE and cannot send or receive MMS. I have Straight Talk on Tmo network, they were no help whatsoever. Phone, txt, and data all work. Interestingly (maybe related?) when wifi is on I still have the symbol of data going (it's an E with up/down arrows), so I don't actually know which it's using. However, even with wifi off I have data but no MMS regardless of wifi on or off. Preferred network is set to GSM/UMTS mode.
Current APN:
APN: wap.tracfone
Port: 8080 (tried with and without)
MMSC: http mms dot tracfone dot com
MMS Port: 8080
MMS protocol: WAP 2.0
MCC: 310
MNC: 260
APN Type: default, supl, mms (also default, hipri without success).
I've tried installing Tweakker to auto set it, but somehow it's not compatible with my device & the play store won't let me get it. A different APN app says I'm on Tmo network. I've tried Tmo settings in the past and lost all data & txt. I've also tried Wireless Manager as recommended by another post here without success.
I've tried deleting all APNs in order to reboot & start fresh, but 1 always shows up again by default, similar to the one above. My phone is the default OS. I could give it to my husband to put a custom rom on it for me if absolutely necessary.
I know there are people here using this phone in a similar manner (that's why I got it). Any other things I can try?

Maybe you guys can help me? My HTC One is only getting EDGE.
My HTC One that is being used with MetroPCS' BYOD plan is only getting EDGE, and not 3g, 4g, or even LTE. The phone was being used with Verizon Wireless before I got it. Everything works fine, but my data speed is super slow (EDGE 0.01 download and 0.01 upload). When I check the APN settings, it still says Verizon Wireless Internet. The people at my local MetroPCS store were no help since they don't know anything about APN settings. Thanks.

I have the same problem with a Metro PCS plan on an Alcatel One Touch Fierce XL, has anyone been able to make Mexico roaming function?
I have an unlocked US Cellular S6 Edge model G925R4. I have rooted it and currently running stock ROM (Settings image attached).
I am using TMobile SIM on it and I am getting cellular network and am able to make calls. However I am having serious issues with Mobile data.
Mobile data did not work by default, I installed APN changer app and added the following settings for Tmobile:
Name: T-MOBILE
APN: fast.tmobile.com
Proxy: <Leave in Blank>
Port: <Leave in Blank>
Username: <Leave in Blank>
Password: <Leave in Blank>
Server: <Leave in Blank>
MMSC: hxxp://mms.msg.eng.t-mobile.com/mms/wapenc
MMS proxy: <Leave in Blank>
MMS port: <Leave in Blank>
MCC: 310
MNC: 260
Authentication type: <Leave in Blank>
APN type: default,supl,mms
APN Protocol: Leave it to the Default one
Once I do this i see data network sparsely, most of the times it does not work. Multiple reboots did not make any difference.
To change the APN I am using "Change APN" app. I see the T-Mobile entries I have made on it sometimes but sometimes i do not (screenshot attached).
I saw on a similar post about correcting the permissions of few files in system/csc/ folder - namely customer.xml and features.xml. After doing this I saw the APN settings after reboot.
But they are gone after the next reboot. So I am not sure if the permission change made much difference.
I really like the phone but at this point it is unusable because of loss of Mobile data. Is there any way to improve the situation ? Be it a different kernel, ROM, modem or anything.
Also I have tried an AT&T sim on it with appropriate APN entries and mobile data did not work for it as well. So its not a problem pertaining to Tmobile network coverage.
Id love to hear suggestions from the community as I really would like to use this phone going forward.
I have the same phone. I was using it on cricket at first and now I am using it on T-mobile. The apn should stick even though it shows the unable to view access point name settings. Access is restricted.
The only problem I have is when it connects to 4glte it has no bars and I cannot send texts messages. If you go into the service mode just set it for gsm/wcdma
Here's screenshot of mine on tmobile
*also I think you are using a different kernel
Can you list the kernel you are using? I'm not sure of that might be the problem.

Thanks for the link, I flashed the kernel from the link and when i added the APN i could see both network and data working fine. Network bars were almost full, but sadly after a reboot i again see no network and loss of data connectivity. I am able to make calls though.
At this point all I have done is changed the APN (tried both epc and fast). Apart from that I havent tried anything else. Just bugs me to think that everything worked perfectly which indicates that there is no issue with the phone/kernel/ROM. But again at the end its not working .. any suggestions ?
For me I would have to go into the service menu because 4g lte would not work. So I would set it to GSM/wcdma and that's what worked for me. Internet was a little slower though
But after today
I honestly just got fed up with it and went and traded it in for the t mobile version. It's a hassle because 4g lte wasn't working and sometimes mms messages would not properly go thru.
When I was using it on cricket it worked better than t-mobile though.

I am leaning towards letting go of this phone as its too much hassle at the moment. Thing is I bought it off Ebay and at this point I am not really sure if the problem is with the phone or just the fact that I am using Tmobile SIM on a US Cellular phone. If I end up selling it I dont want someone else to suffer the same way.
Will a Tmobile specific variant be fine or will that cause similar issues ? I really like the phone but the mobile data part is really putting me off.
I too also got it off eBay the US cellular edition g925r4 and was in the same situation. I got mine for 400. But t mobile took it as a trade in for $140. A loss on my end but right now the s6 edge is $100 off so it was $579.99 minus the trade in credit I received. Also you get a year free of Netflix so that's not too bad...
The t mobile version I bought at the store works perfect mms, texting, WiFi calling it updated twice already so no issues here. Works perfect on 4g lte too
Hmm maybe I'll try swappa once before going with t-mobile. I don't want to get into contracts.
I just switched my verizon phone to straight talk. Im finding out one of the things thats saving me money is terrible customer support...
So I have an S5 SM-G900V running 4.4.2 unlocked.
So I switch to straight talk and everything is great. Same exact service as verizon for half the price. The next day I get a text that my data plan has been updated from 5 gb to 8 gb. They told me this would happen. Now when they switch my plan over they also reflashed my APN and broke my data/MMS. Get on the web google a little bit download a couple things and within an hour Ive got the APN properly working and data going just fine. Next day I try to send someone a picture via text and realize I cant receive or send MMS'. Get back on google tonight to configure the texting an APN settings and for the life of me I cant get it to work. Ive tried numerous old and new MMSC's proxies, ports, etc. I managed to get my downloading working but uploading refuses to play nice.
My APN reads as follows right now.
APN: TRACFONE.VZWENTP
MMSC: HTTP://MMS.VTEXT.COM/SERVLETS/MMS
MCC: 311
MNC: 480
APN TYPE: DEFAULT,DUN,STDHIPRI,SUPL
APN PROTOCOL: IPV4/IPV6
APN ROAMING PROTOCOL: IPV4/IPV6
BEARER: LTE
If I didnt listed the field is blank. So as a small note my wife has the same exact phone but with the next version of android and is having no issues. Her APN reads exactly the same except the MMSC is set to default, and the APN TYPE doesnt have STDHIPRI. I tried her settings not luck. Also the MMSC im currently on is not what worked for downloading so Im broken on up and download right now. I used an older tracfine address that got downloading working. This vtext address is what is listed as correct for a verizon phone everywhere on the web...
Also Id like to add I wanted to try some settings I found with different MCC and MNC numbers but if I change them it immediately deletes my APN profile...
I did also try go sms and some other recommended messaging apps and it made no difference.
Help please lol. Im getting super frustrated.
Well I just fixed it. Go figure I walk away from it for a couple hours, make a post, screw with it for 10 minutes and figure it out...
SO for anyone else on the internet with this issue here is the functioning current APN for a verizon phone on straight talk as of 8/2017
APN: TRACFONE.VZWENTP
MMSC: HTTP://MMS.VTEXT.COM/SERVLETS/MMS
MCC: 311
MNC: 480
APN TYPE: DEFAULT,MMS,SUPL
APN PROTOCOL: IPV4/IPV6
APN ROAMING PROTOCOL: IPV4/IPV6
BEARER: LTE
It was all in the stupid APN Type line. Apparently either my phones a screw ball OR perhaps newer android phones default better on certain settings that my rooted phone cant? Either way this stupid line changed worked to fix both my downloading and uploading...
