Youtube lagging on Oukitel K10 - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I recently bought a new phone for myself which was kind of an experiment and happened to be Oukitel K10 (I used to stick with Samsung Galaxy S phones). I haven't run into too many issues except for one, the videos on youtube tend to really lag and shutter. I was looking for the solution here and there (disabled HW, cleared cache, reinstalled the app) but it doesn't seem to be working. Any clues on what to do?

Got same phone and no issues with YouTube.
Perhaps it's your network provider

Is there a way to check that? I've been using the same mobile internet provider for like 11 years now and never had issues of this kind.

Use some internet speed test to compare.
How about other apps such as Netflix, lagging as well?

I've just checked it (download 38,1 mbps / upload 26,3 mbps) so correct me if I'm wrong but I find it unlikely that this is the issue (Youtube has always worked perfectly for me on every single one of my devices)

It's been weird for me too, around 11 or 12 I haven't been able to load any Google search pages, but other web pages load just fine
Upload and download bar flashes on and off and cuts connection when browsing the web, sometimes page won't load at all.
I'm also in la.

Today is IPv6 test day, the major websites, i.e. google, are testing IPv6 protocols until around 8 pm today. Phones dont seem to play very nice with IP6 yet.
Ah, that makes sense.

still a hit or miss for me still Google doesn't load
Same here...3g loads just fine though.

same here. Google still isn't loading even though the IPv6 trail run is over :/
It seems like only a few people are having this problem.
I checked out the ipv6 Google test page, it says that my connection isn't ready for IPv6 (4g), when tested on 3g it says no problems detected. This seems pretty permanent to me, so I'm going to best buy today to see if any other 4g devices on Verizon are having the same problem.

same exact thing is happening to me
this blows
I'm from LA (90024) and am having the exact same problem... I noticed it when Google Voice just wasn't working for me at all on 4G (both the application and google.com/voice). When I switch to 3G both load fine...
I tried the ipv6 test and have the same result - failure on 4G LTE and just fine on 3G.
Is this problem just specific to socal?

Youtube update(play videos on Aces' MIUI)

I just downloaded the new YouTube update because I noticed it fixed HD in 2.2 and 2.3. I was curious to see if it would allow the app to play while using Aces' MIUI rom and sure enough..IT DOES!!! Go into settings and set movies to play in high quality and bam...your YouTube app will work.
Just out of curiosity, were you on wifi when you did this? If I remember right, youtube worked fine when connected to wifi but not over cellular data.
Fine on 3g.

Thats great then. I wonder if YouTubes fix is similar to what Ace needs to do to MIUI. Maybe its not set for an HD display? It seems like something Ace would have thought of though.
I sent a tweet to Ace but never got a response. But yes, I was using it on 3g and not Wi-Fi.

SGS3 - Wifi and YouTube issue?

I have suddenly developed an issue with my new SGS3. When using the YouTube app I am disconnected from my wifi and it uses mobile data (a rather costly exercise!). It seems to only happen when I watch full screen in landscape for some strange reason.
This seems to be a recent occurrence. I did try uninstalling updates to the app and tested but still had the same problem.
Anyone else experiencing this and any solutions?
I am using stock software with no rooting.
Opposite for me, I can only use WiFi and it won't work on 3g

Yeah, in my online search for a solution I have come across mention of the opposite problem for some. Weird. I'm hoping someone has a solution or do we need need to wait for Google to get their act together?

I had this happen to me once, never tried it again. I would work on wifi but not on 3g, never tested with LTE.
Don't know if there is a fix for that...

specifically, adding back in the HTTPSD setting fixed it (I had thought RTSP would have fixed it)
Guess i never used youtube enough or never used it while on 3G/4GLTE.
I can confirm that with the edited info on 4G LTE on my EVO LTE that youtube didnt work.
Put the original settings back in and it does work on 4G LTE..
Thanks for pointing that out.
I am having the same problem with my youtube. It used to work a few weeks ago. You guys said you had fixed this problem but I don't really understand what you guys did. i am rooted on MeanRom and am on the Cricket carrier.

I get the problem occasionally too but fixes when I do a hotboot
I've been having the same problem for the past week. Just started out of no where. Sometimes a reboot doesn't fix ot. Completely stock here.

A matter of fact some s5 do it and some don't
Sent from my SM-G900T using Tapatalk
Yes I get this several times a day (10+ times). I've found that either going in and out of airplane mode, or more easily, attempting to place a call (doesn't matter if it connects, I usually just call my voicemail and hang up immediately) fixes it. I had this issue much less frequently with the GS4 and I had a previous GS5 that I turned in on warranty for an unrelated microphone issue which had the same problem. I live in a big city if that matters at all as it's possible it's a network issue (I often go into buildings/elevators where there is no service which sometimes seems to cause it when the phone tries to reconnect to the network).
I've found that a little bit of tape helps keep my data from being loose.

Hard to say since you gave us no details about your phone configuration. What is your OS version? One of the bugs that the 4.4.3 update is purported to address is frequent data connection dropouts. Sound familiar?

Ive had at least 7 different phones and numerous tmobile customers complain of this. From whatbi understand its cause there doing major network upgrades
Sent from my SM-G900T using XDA Free mobile app
I figured it was because of network upgrades. I just got VOLTE in my area so that could explain it.
