Android Emulator Size Issue - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi all, there is a size issue with my android emulator. Apparently the screen size doesn't fit the design frames. The AVD i am using now is Nexus 5X API 25. I have tried with Google Pixel 2 as well, even tablets! I am really not sure why this is happening! Stackoverflow doesn't seem to provide any useful solution as well (I've tried most of it - E.G changing emulated performance to automatic -> i cant even change as the area is greyed out, but by default it is already automatic)
Under SDK Manager > SDK Tools, my Android emulator sdk platform-tools and sdk tools are checked, also updated to its latest version.
However I have no idea why it is not working, even when i reinstall the avd, or android studio as a whole. Please help!
P.S I cant share links here but the problem can be seen at google image when you search "android emulator size issue"

Android for dummies example problem

I am new to the android programming and I am studying it through "Android Application Development for dummies ". In the book there is an example of Task Reminder app. The problem I am facing is that it is not showing the built in image ic_menu _add when run on the emulator. I am using Android 4.1.
I have tried everything that I could possibly do. I have run this code with Android 2.2, 2.1 as well but found same problem.

Developing an e-reader and need help with settings

Hello Everyone! I am developing an 13.3 inch e-reader and my settings menu is very basic. I only have WIFI date and time, display, language and input, reset to default, and about.
I am missing critical functionality such as Accounts & sync Settings and Security and all of the normal options a stock Android phone or tablet has. I am wondering if there are APK files out there that i can simply use ADB to manually install these missing items to system/apps/ on my device. Do i have to edit the Android manifest for these to load correctly?
My specific version of Android is 4.0.4
any help would be great.

Which tools are used to find the cause of issues on an Android Custom ROM?

I know that Android Monitor is provided with Android Studio.
In my case I search a tool to find the cause of an issue that slow my device and some times block the UI during several seconds
It is possible with Android Monitor Tool to monitor the ressources of installed applications but it doesn’t help me to discover the cause of the issue.

[APP][MOD] Remove device/OS check

Hi i've been browsing the forum trying to find a solution but however i'm limited by my knowledge.
Basicly there is an Game/app made built by GameMaker but the target system was not meant to support AndroidTV. I'm trying to run this game on my nvidia shield.
I sideloaded the app and whenever i launch it i see the background of the game as if it was going to work and then the app crash and i get the following error message :
Incorrect android target. This executable targets android TV devices. This build is for android".
I've download Apk Studio / Apk tool and i tried to find out in the code where would that check happen and how i can allow AndroidTv devices to run this app. However i don't see much in the manifest file that would stop the app from running in AndroidTv.
Anyone out there with more knowledge can chime in and give some ideas ?
Here is a link to the app i'm trying to modify.

Question LDplayer on PC

I have just started playing scrabble on Windows 11 with the emulator LDPlayer.
At the moment I have to go to the playstore to open the scrabble app. Surely there a way of having a shortcut on the LDPlayer homerscreen? Have searched hard but can't find anything - anyone?
Also is there an adblocker that will work with this?
Install WSA ( Windows Subsystem for Android ) and run the game within it.
The app is supposed to appear in the homescreen after you install it. Clear disk cache from LD Player Settings > Advanced (located at bottom). Install the APK version, the shortccut should appear hopefully. If nothing works, you can always create a new instance. MEmu (memuplay) emulator lets you create desktop shortcut for apps installed in it, might wanna give it a try.
Lookeed into this a couple of times but I can see nowhere in the Bios where virtualisation is mention.

What's your motherboard model? In Asus board it's called SVM (Secure Virtualization Mode), or VMX. User manual should point it's existence at the end.
Belarc says:
Board: HP 8437 1.3
Serial Number: PGUCR0HP1B90LD

UEFI: AMI F.53 10/23/2020
Please search thoroughly, it must be there somewhere. This guide might help -
