I have that staff pick case, bought it on eBay. Reviewed it and a screen protector here : https://forum.xda-developers.com/rog-phone-2/accessories/tpu-case-screen-protector-ebay-t3968465

I've also ordered the nillkin CP+Pro tempered glass.
Have been using their tempered glasses for years. They are the best.
Can you also share images from bottom and top of the cover with phone?? And how much thickness does this cover add to the phone?
Also does it create issues in heat dissipation?
Thanks

Including the 0.3mm raised lip around the phones screen, this case adds a total of 2.5mm of thickness and 3mm of width to the phone.
Measuring with my digital calipers, the phone without a case is 9.5mm thick and 78mm wide (not including the slight camera bump or the phones buttons). With the case on it measured 12mm thick and 81mm wide.
Heat dissipation is still excellent. I haven't noticed any change at all in temperatures.

Thanks for the reply, I guess you indulge in DIY projects (measuring the dimensions using digital calipers :laugh
Do you play games on this phone? Do you observe noticeable increase in temp with the cover placed?

Lol yup lots of DIY and 3D Printing stuff.
I play lots of games on it via emulators, and some native gaming with PUBG and the new COD Mobile. No noticable temp increases.

Closest thing I've personally seen is on the usbgeek site. I'm new and can't post links but it's called "book case for note 3."
Like this?
These are on eBay for $16.
I have found some make by a Korean company called araree. You can find them at zoarah.com, they have a polycarbonate shell on the inside. I haven't bought one yet because I have the wireless back cover and afraid it won't fit.

Same. I found some from ARAREE (see the 1st pic)
Then there are a few others from ebay.

I purchased one from amaz0n on Friday. It should be here tomorrow. I will take pics and post them as soon as it comes in. :good:
I am very happy with the quality of this case. The one issue I had with it was that it had no clasp. I do not like the idea of dropping this and having the front flip open and it land screen down. That would kind of defeat the whole purpose of having a case like this. So I modified mine with a leather strap and button clip to close it.

There are 2 types of cases. One is made of hardcover

There other one is made of faux leahter for outer cover and hardcover for interior

have you try to use spigen's case
I ordered the Design case from the company in China directly, the price is reasonable and they seem to have a reasonable return policy. I'll post pictures/review when I get it.

It feels like real leather as I believe it is. Granted it is thin as they use hard backing to make up most of the thickness, but it is holding up very well and I am very pleased with the quality. I get compliments on it all the time when I go shopping or to the bank.:good:

Well that one looks nice to. I think they both use the same leather. At least that is what it looks like. The only reason I did not go with that one is that I wanted four card slots rather then three. I like the clear fourth slot for the ID so I do not have to pull out my DL all the time. But that seems to be the only difference I can tell as far as quality and function. At least yours comes with a clasp so you do not have to modify like I did.
Good looking, impractical, unusable case

So, got the case today. It's highly impractical for everyday use.
* It has VERY sharp corners so do NOT put it in your pockets.
* If you want to text, the cover part bends behind and is IN the way of your left hand while you text
* The cover doesn't close flush with the device screen when closed and sitting on a desk
* The material, while it seems sturdy, feels REALLY cheap and made out of cardboard. Just feels cheap.
* If you fold the cover back when you place this case on your desk, it sits VERY awkwardly on the desk at a weird angle.
* If you want to take a picture, HOW do you take a picture with the cover closed? The camera is exposed in the back, but how if you open the cover and it hangs down, it is just * impractical to take pictures.
* The inside cover of the case is cardboard. I would NEVER put a card (only room for one) in the slot. I would be VERY afraid of it ripping and the card falling out.
I'm not sure when this is meant to be used? If you hold the device in your hand and you are playing a game or texting, the cover is very bulky that makes it very difficult to use in your hands.
All in all, I wouldn't use this as an every day case. It's a LOT more bulky when opened back on itself for use.
The sharp corners are SCARY in my pocket. I scratched my leg at least 4 times during the course of 3 hours.
The case is now sitting on my desk unused.
Recommendation:
Nice idea. Bad execution. Impractical case.
To keep from cluttering up the Deff screen protector thread, I wanted to start a thread on the Nillkin Full Body Protector with the black frame.
-I am still awaiting for my shipment to arrive, but wanted a place to discuss this protector further. Once I receive it I will post pics and details about the install if someone else hasn't by then.
I ordered one from ebay for $10.99. They can be found from $10.99 and up here:
http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_odk...=Motorola+Nexus+6+Nillkin+full+glass&_sacat=0
Official Nillkin Page here:
http://www.nillkin.com/english/proshow.asp?mid=2&sid=0&tid=0&cid=1&scid=13&id=5109&page=1
Its been noted there appear to be 2 versions of images on the ebay listings, both saying Nillkin, but the official Nillkin page above shows the image that has the larger cutout by the speaker for the proximity sensor it seems, while the other ebay image shows a cutout separate for the proximity. Perhaps one of the images is from an early test run, and it has been revised to the newer design on their official site?
P.S. I know there is a thread for "tempered glass screen protectors" with posts regarding this protector, but I wanted a place to only discuss this particular product and share images/reviews of it specifically.
Interested as this states its specifically made to deal with the curve on the N6 screen.
20+ days for shipping?! That pretty ridiculous seeing as how people are ordering protectors from the same region and having them shipped halfway across the world in half the time.
when you do receive it please let us know the total shipping time also. Thanks

The other brands are from the same region, but they have them sent to a warehouse in California to allow faster shipping. Mine was shipped on the 20th and I live in Ohio, so we'll see how long it takes to get here (and hopefully it arrives safely from overseas).
Just ordered a couple will post my experience, my replacement N6 hasnt been too kind to tempered glass protectors as just about every single one has had HALO, only one that didnt was the vzw protector but that was very fragile and cracked after a wk.
Just ordered one for my phone! I will post some feedback when it eventually arrives.

Remember that in China they just manufacture the products and after that the only difference is the retail packaging.
I had a Nillkin glass protector on my m8 and it was awesome. Great quality and very thick. Whether or not the N6 one is good or not who knows but they do make a good product.

Since I always use a case, not sure if these would play well together. I guess a SP that goes to the curve on the side of the screen but not beyond is better for case users.

Guys, really? Its just a graphic illustration of how theirs is "better". Its not supposed to look real. You'll see similar illustrations on nearly every screen protector site.

I would guess that it is a similar/same size as the deff. I use a diztronic tpu case, which has a lip & the deff fits perfectly inside that lip. So perfect that you can't see the edge of the protector. Sorry for the plug of a different brand, just comparing as I think they would be the same size.
Mines in IL 6 hours ago via tracking. I'm in Ohio. Should have it in 1 to 2 days.
I bought one directly from the store in China, should be here super soon. But I'm holding out on it...cashed out a lot for my InvisibleShield HDX and not risking another glass halo TGSP. Will wait for @ryancell to post
Hello everyone,
I wasn't expecting to be writing this so soon if I'm honest. Expected a few more days before I got rang by my wife whilst and work and asked what I'd ordered this time.
So the Orzly Pro-Fit Tempered Glass landed in my hands today (as well as their 5 pack film set, but I'll get to that later) and since we're having issues with the Official OnePlus TGSP it made sense to remove that and get straight into this protector and find out whether it's worth you lot purchasing.
A quick disclaimer I'm writing this after applying the glass and using it for a few hours. I will keep you updated in the comments below over the next week on how it holds up.
So, how does this differ to the Official 3D screen?
- Unlike the official 3D screen, Orzly have opted for adhesive on the sides and the top but not in the middle. This was an issue with their V1 screen last year as the Dot Matrix and Oil slicks were an absolute nightmare, less so with V2. After spending a few hours with this one, I can already tell they've made some significant improvements. It feels more premium than the OP3 screen did, I can't see the dot matrix under my house lighting at all and no oil slicks.
- They have incorporated cut outs for the front facing camera and sensors. The official one just has clear glass over them.
My verdict: Buy this one.
I haven't tested many yet (infact just the official and this) but if the choice is between the two like it was last year, this one wins for me. It doesn't cut into your screen and it seems like it'll work with most cases as the fitting of it is very good.
It's also a TON cheaper than the official one and its a twin pack.
Where can I buy?
As far as I'm aware they sell on the various local Amazon sites. Two of the big ones I use are Amazon.com and Amazon.co.uk
Take a look at my video here if you want to see it in more detail:

Be sure to let people know when you try it,. According to what the actual manufacturers are saying about them though, they have written the following...
PLEASE NOTE: The Pro-Fit Glass Screen Protector is designed to work with Orzly Cases for the Oneplus 5. We cannot however guarantee its compatibility with OnePlus 5 cases from other manufacturers
This doesn't mean that it won't fit another case, but it does mean it's risky. So probably a good idea is if anyone on here tries different cases with this screen protector that we let as many people know on here which ones fit with it versus which ones didn't, as that may be our only way to truly guage this. The Orzly screen protector definitely seems like the only tempered glass screen protector that works well with the phone, so whatever I do I'm going to need to base my case around what works with that, so the more info I could get on this, the better. (I'll probably just get one of orzly 's cases anyway at first just to be sure, but would be nice to know what all the options are for later on (if there are any)

Thanks a lot for the video. Nice to hear it doesn't cut into the sides of the screen like others. What's your opinion on how deep the fingerprint scanner feels in the cutout?
Seems that Orzly is shipping them from the UK... found a similar one that ships from the united states - https://www.amazon.com/s?keywords=Oneplus+5+Screen+Protector&hidden-keywords=B07378RSWD. I've used amfilm a lot before- never any issues at all.

I've not really noticed it, the cut out is slightly wider than the the fingerprint sensor so leaves a good gap around it.

I've heard that that is from the dock. My son has the Switch and we had that issue. They sent a free replacement that worked for him. Might be worth sending an email.
So Orzly is better because it dont cut the screen like OP official tgsp?
For me i think Oneplus own is better because adhesive on entire visible part, even when it comes about 0.3mm top of sides. I have used Orzly products many years. V2 for OP3T was disappoined mostly thanks to glue on borders only. Screen wont look that clear as with tgsp with full adhesive or without tgsp at all. Also oil slick can come because adhesives only on sides. It depends how greatly you clean your screen.

The three cases that have caught my attention..
1. Official OnePlus nylon bumper case.
2. Rhinoshield solidsuit
3. Tech 21 case
Obviously for overall protection the most important how it looks and feels in the hand. Recommendations & opinions welcome thank you
Sent from my ONEPLUS A6013 using Tapatalk
I have the Rhinoshield and like it. Mine is the carbon fibre, and it has at least a little grip. I can't comment on the other one. The only issue that I have with it is that occasionally when I put it in my pocket it slides the alert slider up to silent or vibrate.
No major drops, but the case has protected the phone from the few small drops it has taken. Most out of my shirt pocket when I've bent down to pick something up.
Do you have any issues with the case being alittle loose or tight fit? Are you using a TGSP.? If so which one?
Thanks
Sent from my ONEPLUS A6013 using Tapatalk
I have the Rhinoshield case also. I have dropped it a few times and the phone has survived without any marks or scuffs. I dropped it about 1m onto a concrete floor and the phone was fine. The case has a few marks from wear and tear but it's done what it was designed for and protected the phone. I would say the case had a very tight fit. It's to the extent that it is difficult to remove the phone from the case when I want to clean the phone for example. I am using a TGSP with, but mine is not all the way to the edges of the phone so works without issue with the Rhinoshield case.
Tech 21 -
I was using it for probably about a week before I switched back to the factory provided one. The feeling is like holding a brick but you get grip. Which is lovely and all but the major loss of using the Tech21 is the slider use. I use my slider on a day to day basis. The Tech21 causes the bulge to be just to spacious to slide it up or down with ease.
Thanks for the replies yall. Last question guys, please someone just give me straight answer on the screen protector there is no solid answer anywhere.

oh yes...so much dust between the small gap,i really hate that
i tried 5 differents cases, the best one imao, Tudia Merge Case. i also love the official OnePlus provided with the fphone, but i don't like transparent colour. Official one has the better grip when you have it in your hand
only concern like we said..the dust gathering in the small gap around the edge. Unfortunately, 100% covering TGSP seems to not be so compatible with all cases i own.
i tried the Omoton, i also purchased the spigen TGSP, i'll try if it fit with the Spigen Tough Armor or other cases

Since the fact that ROG 2 is heavy enough, other cases as you suggested may increase the case weight to some extent. From designer perspective, it's OK to achieve; but from user perspective, it's not suggested although it can satisfy some kind of requirements.
Thanks for making it real
Hi,
Thanks for making it real; I was so exited for this design for our ROG2. Only request is if you guys could manage this product in India. that would be really amazing.

You have raised edges to protect display if that phone fall, but what about protection of back edges? How to protect back of your phone, there are no raised edges are they

Full protection is the core point we care. The raised edges are higher than the screen and back, so they can provide protection for both the screen and the back in case of drop. In addition, we offer a back skin to prevent daily friction against the back.
Oh man if you DO make a case with the back on it that would be so awesome, I'd buy it in a heartbeat... but I guess I'll try the bumper case too...maybe with a skin or something to protect against scratches
And how about that early reviewers stuff... do any of us get a free one for testing?
