Hi I have not activated volte but HD logo appears on call screen
I could be mistaken but VoLTE is automatic on some carriers.

Just got a text from T-Mobile UK telling me that I could now use HD Voice as long as I had a 3G signal and was talking to someone else with an HD Voice enabled phone.
However, as far as I can see, the Galaxy S2 doesn't have AMR-WB enabled by default, so I don't know why they're telling me that I can use it. I went to the special menu and saw that AMR-WB was "OFF" but there's no way to turn it on. I'm using the normal T-Mobile ROM so I'd have thought they would've enabled AMR-WB on their own ROM if they're advertising AMR-WB??
Is there any other way to turn on AMR-WB for HD Voice?

How is the recording quality?
Its Great
Other handsets do it too. If an Oppo is set to UK/US theres no record but set it to HK and the option will appear.
Hi
Im on volte services and my contract include unlimited voice and video calling.
My friend is having a xiomi MI phone in which there is option of video calling in dialer. I can receive video calls but there is no option to make video calls. Is there anyway to enable it. In dialer i only get HD voice call option.
Does the leMax2 really support VoLTE, beyond the specification we can see on internet ?
Actually, I’ve never made a VoLTE call with this phone. The HD or LTE icon never appears, and I never make a call with the crystal clear VoLTE sound with this phone.
I’ve tested with SmallEUI 23S, CUOCO 23S, as well as several nougat rom which should support VoLTE (RR, AOSIP…).
I had a Vernee Apollo Lite phone before this one, which allow me to make VoLTE call, so I can confirm that my carrier support this techno.
So, for whose can make call with VoLTE, do you have a icon skowing that you are on VoLTE ? Do you really ear a better sound (the sound of a call is dramatically different between an VoLTE call and a standard call) ?
Thanks.
depends on your telecom /networkprovider, even here in germany E-Plus no VoLTE ^^

Hi,
Sure. It depends on the provider.
But I had an Apollo lite before (I change my phone, not my provider), and the VoLTE worked. Everytime I made a volte call, there was a HD icon display in the dialer (Android stock dialer), and the quality of the sound was just fabulous.
Never had any particular notification on the lemax2, neither a HD quality during my call. And I make the test by calling another person who has the same provider, as well as a volte compatible phone.
I am using small eui.
When I make a call the phone stays on LTE so volte works for me.
Hello fellow droiders,
February 2018 it was announced that Android Pie will add call recording tone support so calls could be recorded lawfully:
https://www.xda-developers.com/android-p-call-recording-tone-support-record-phone-calls-lawfully/
I can confirm that Google did this... I'm in UK and here you don't need consent to record calls, but because Vodafone is Germany based and there you need consent, they activated this tone feature for UK clients as well. Which means that every time I call someone and record a call, other party hears 1400Hz tone every 15 seconds, making call recording pretty much unusable.
Any ideas from fellow hackers how to turn this feature off?
The tone is a 1400Hz note that will play every fifteen seconds if the carrier enables it. It works by detecting the package name of a call recording app using the previously linked API. If any such package is detected, then the outgoing call will have the tone played to warn the other end that their call may be recorded. The tone will be automatically played depending on carrier configuration, which is determined by the SIM card.
Any chances to change a package name to something that wouldn't be recognized by this new feature?
Pixel 3, unlocked bootloader & rooted.
Thanks!
Anyone please?
