I would also like to do this, and also change the SIM card names (both my sim cards are from the same mobile operator and have the same name). I think it is not possible in the settings, maybe some 3rd party app, like DualSimRinger.

Yes you can change the sim card names: settings, network and internet, sim cards. then you click in each sim card and you are able to set a name for each one.

My SIM card not available its phone number. Are there any way to add it to the SIM card?
I try to install my phone number app, but I can't install it. Play store show "incompatible with other applications with the same shared user ID" error. Then I use SIMNumberChanger-v1.2.apk, looks like its not permanently added phone number to my SIM card.
Anyone know how to add my phone number to SIM card?

The carrier with who you have service with would need to activate the card. Once they do so, the # will be there. If your phone is not picking up the SIM card, that's another issue entirely.
Hello.
Is there a way to use a second sim card as a default card in a phone with dual sim? I want to use messaging app which doesn't support dual sim, but I can't physically switch cards.
The first card is used for data connection and the second one for texts and calls.
Best regards,
grunai.
edit:
I have found the solution but using paid app so I will post it if I can
Hi Folks,
Any idea on how to get rid of the encircled icon? Or at least, what is the name of this icon to help me search more. I don't have a second SIM card and I really didn't want to get a dual SIM handset but in my region only the dual SIM model is offered. So I've got this dual SIM phone with a single SIM card and the now none-sense icon.
Thanks in advance.
Since I could not figure out how to send a picture, I will explain. I have inserted a single SIM card in a dual SIM handset. Fortunately the phone is not showing any icons pertaining to the absent SIM card 2. But still it shows a SIM card icon with "1" in it designating that SIM card 1 is present. This is none-sense to me and I would like it to go. I want directions for doing this. I searched, but found nothing and even have no idea what this icon may be called to do some further search.
I'm using Marshmallow.
Thanks.
Is there a way to pick which SIM to make a call from from within the Dialler?
At the moment (without using a 3rd party dialler) I have to change the Dual SIM settings - changing the default calling SIM, which then refreshes all the SIM info. Seems a bit long-winded just to make a phone call from SIM 2 for example, when SIM 1 is the default in the settings.
Maybe I'm missing something?

Under Dual Sim Settings there is the default calling Sim option, if you set this to "Not Set" then you get two green phone symbols within the dialler, allowing you to choose which network to dial with for each call.

Hi all,
Thinking to purchase OPPO Find N and wondering, Is there an option to dislable individual SIM slot from the OS ?
Thanks
why should you be able to do that?
If there is no SIM in the slot, it has no function!
So why disable, tell us more!
You are correct.
If you have 2 sim cards installed, is there an option to disable one of them, without having to take it out ?
Ahhh,. OK, you mean with 2 SIM cards. yes, you can disable the sim in the settings (mobile network), there is a slider for that.
Great, thank you very much for checking.
