Hi all,
I found that kindle app drains a lot of battery (something like 7% for 8 min and even more), even reading with epd screen.
Does anyone experienced the same problem? Or does anyone found a solution?
Thankyou!

Hey guys does anyone know if applications like whatsapp and liveprofile drain the battery a lot?
Whatsapp doesn't drain my battery, i'm using it since forever and its great.
I use whatsapp often and I haven't experienced drainage.
I ask because I have whatsapp but I see people posting that they get one or two days out of their phones and I cant seem to get more than 13 hours out of it and thats with lowest brightness, frozen apps, underclocking and undervolting
I was wondering if anyone was experience a problem with the mediapad. I have two units and they have both been experience the same symptom. The unit would awake from deep sleep mode and drain the battery with the screen on and the CPU on full. I have been monitoring my tablet and the cpuspy records the tablet in deep sleep mode for 136:46 with other CPU speeds at less than 2 minutes. However, at 1188mhz, it was recorded for 4:56 minutes which is draining the battery so when I turn it on, it notifies me that it has 2% left. I've used betterbatterystats but I don't quite understand how to read the data. It says that it's been away for approx 5 hours which is when the CPU was at 1188mhz.

This was happening on HC as well, so I'm wondering maybe if these units are defective if no one else is experiencing it. Having said that, I've read that huawei warranty/CS is horrendous.
Any help would be appreciated it is appearing on two identical units.
Cheers!
Hello everyone,
I've been following these forums every now and then and was very helpful when I encounter some minor problems so far.
But lately I start having a very strange problem on my mom's phone which is a Samsung Galaxy Win (i8552- stock rom- android 4.1.2) and couldn't really find a decent solution or a good explanation so far. So I decided to ask you guys.
The problem is phone is having a bit poor bettery life overall, especially while in idle. I found out most of the times it is losing 2-3% battery per hour while idling (i.e overnight). Sometimes it's slightly more 1% per hour and sometimes between 0.5-1% (which sounds more normal).
While in idle usually Androis OS seems eating up the battery around 50-60%. I disabled most of the notifications, most of the sync options (especially google ones), all kinds of screen sounds, facebook update intervals, uninstalled Avast and also disabled the location access. But these changes didn't really give a noticable difference. Battery drain inconsistency was still there.
After I noticed this strange battery drain I decided to digging it up a bit more and installed GSM Battery and wakelock detector.
Firs that I noticed in GSM battery is that the phone is awake for like 1.5 hours out of 7-8 hours of overnight idling. And Android OS kernel seemed responsible for this. But couldn't really get more clues.
Then I found more clues on the culprit in Wakelock Detector under "kernel wakelocks" tab. Which is vbus_wake_lock wakelock.
WD shows vbus_wake_lock is awake for almost an hour after the last charge, which was 7 hours ago.
After I found this I googled around a bit but couldn't really found a useful explanation except it might be caused by an apple charger. But I know that mom's using the original samsung charger.
I tried rebooting to see if it helps. It's been almost 4 hours now, phone lost around 2% battery which seems ok-ish but the vbus_wake_lock is still there with 25 minutes of awake.
So any idea. What should I do to hunt this wakelock down?
I don't really want to make her worried about her phone though, she seems happy with it, since she is playing some games and charging it every day so not really having a battery issues. But I know that there's something wrong here and I want to fix it.
So I desperately need your helps guys.
Thanks a lot.
Sorry for my English btw, as it's not my native.

Any ideas? Anyone?
Hi everybody,
I just bought this smartphone some time ago. Ive been pretty satisfied with its overall perfomance, the screen quality, the stock android it runs. Coming from a 512mb RAM device i couldnt be more satisfied regarding this smartphone pros.
However, I simply cant stand this smartphones battery life. Its absolutely awful, dropping to 50% in 2 hours with moderate use(Chatting on FB messenger, browsing the internet, listening to music). Even if i use the smartphone lightly(only chatting), the battery still drops awfully fast. I dont consider it normal at all, because my other smartphone with 1400 mAh battey lasted MUCH better, dropping only to 70/75% battery if i used it the same way I use this phone.
Seems like no matter how lightly I use this smartphone, the battery keeps dropping like i never seen. Any help there? Ive bought this phone 5 days ago, could the battery still be "asleep"? Any suggestions?
Thank you in the advance.
What does battery manager say? In settings? It could be a wakelock or something.

under battery or power in settings then usage
and see what is using all your juice
So I have the Cell Standby eating 31%, the Wi-Fi eating another 31%, and finally the Phone Idle eating 26%. Screen comes far behind with a 7% usage. Is it normal ?
If I flash the stock ROM provided by Wiko, could the battery life increase ? I'm thinking on it , can it solve my problem ?
Hello all,
I just bought a galaxy s7 edge duos and I would like to know if there is a way, perhaps an app, that can tell if there is something wrong with my device.
I want to know if my phone's battery is performing at its best. Right now, it lasts almost 24 hours with an average of 4 to 6 hours on screen usage. I mostly browse the Web, chat with whatsapp, and play boom beach and clash royale for 30 to 45 minutes a day. I think it is consuming too much battery when idle, like one percent or so per hour.
I would like to read your opinions.
Bumping... please help out
Look into a battery stats app. But you will find that it's whatsapp draining your battery. Facebook apps are all well known bad apps for everything from performance to battery life.
