Does anyone make a full adhesive ( not just edge adhesive ) tempered glass screen protector that is the same size as the plastic one that comes with the phone. I've used two types, one was full size but had the adhesive on the edges only and was dot matrix which I didn't like. The other was full adhesive but was very case friendly which in English means huge gaps on the sides. Thanks.

All of the full adhesive screen protectors that I've used on mine have the issue of being overly case friendly. I haven't come across any that covered the full screen.

Shame that. Just a little wider on the sides would have been nice. Hoping someone can someday chime in and say they found one. Lol

Someone guided me here which completely covered the screen and also leaves no area unglued and floating. It is a bit more expensive but I think it's worth it

Well, I'll not claim to know which kind it is because I don't.
But what I can say is that that screen protector still holds and unlike the other protectors I used, doesn't have a huge bar of bubble at the bottom and sides.(I used 2 before this)
Neither does it seem to be floating in any area(s) with rainbow effect or anything.
Reading the original post, I would like to ask what you mean by dot matrix. Perhaps I can verify if something of that sort is visible on this screen protector.
I am only praising this protector because it doesn't have the gaps that the non-full coverage protectors have, which you seem to be bothered by as well.
But it would be a bit odd if this protector is the kind with only edge glue because it comes with a separate thing of glue that you apply to the edges after putting on the protector. Like why'd you put glue on the sides, if that's the only part that already has glue on? ?.

Thanks, yes with dot matrix it's when the centre area of the glass screen protector is not adhesive , the glass protector has these tiny dot matrix type imprints on the glass than can be seen with a bright light. Also the dot matrix type screen protectors give the black display of the phone a dark grey appearance.
Basically with the screen off, if you shine a torch or flashlight on the screen it will show all the dot matrix patterns.

It's not a glue you spread on the whole glass. It's a glue you put after you've already installed the screen protector. This helps the edges stay stuck to the glass do that you don't have bars is bubbles on the edges (or so they claim is the purpose)

The glue pack was confusing cause there were no English directions. I scanned the code there which lead me to a Chinese video showing me how to use the glue.

I am using one, a cheaper than the Spigen one. But it works great! Suprisingly good actually. Since I hate screen protectors cause I always get one dust particle underneath it.. It makes me take it off again. But with the tempered glass It fell exactly on place and without any dust underneath it..

You can pick one up in the Verizon stores, I'm not sure of the hardness rating, I like the feel, it's rounded, does the job and looks good. It's about 25 bucks, can get them cheaper online but if you need one ASAP, pick one up in the verizon store, they'll install it as well so if they mess up have them do it again free of charge.
But out of all the reviews, the best one seems to be by iloome.

That one looks nice, I really like the MIME Feather Glass since it is only .15mm thick.
I'm using the Spiegen - the top of the line one.
It works great so far and fits the Spiegn Sim armour vieww case with no problem.
While I like a good deal too, I don't understand that we buy a VERY expensive Note 3 and then try and cut corners with the Glass and case.
I wish I could use one. On day one, I started with the Verizon tempered glass screen protector and I loved the feel of it, but over a few days time, the top right corner developed an odd sort of hazy "bubble" that wouldn't stay flattened out. I confirmed the screen protector wasn't touching the frame, so I figured it was just the "crappy" store brand screen protector. I decided to go ahead and get a MIME Ghost Glass to replace it, and over the next few days, the same story. Top right corner, bubble.
Upon closer inspection, my Note 3 has an (almost) imperceptible "bend" in the very top right corner of the screen. The only way I could tell was the way the light warps a tiny bit in the reflection of the glass in just that corner. The rigid nature of tempered glass coupled with this slight bend in the phone's glass causes the corner of the protector to lift ever so slightly off the screen, creating the ugly bubble.
The phone was bought new, has never been dropped, and is in perfect condition, it's simply a manufacturing "defect". So, it's back to the regular old screen protectors for me.

Hi y`all.
Prefer brando rounded edge.

So I'm a true believer in tempered glass screen protector because it saved me in thousands. I bought some cheap one even before the phone came out to use until the proper one comes out. This one is just square to cover the viewable screen. I bought two of them and both of them doesn't adhere at the bottom corners on two different phones. I went online to do some digging and found that most if not not all have the same issue and all sellers showing full screen cover does a bait and switch and send out the very exact same square ones.
I'm now beginning to wonder... Is this because all sellers have same batch of cheap stuff that doesn't fit or is it because G5 screen isn't perfectly flat? (never mind the curve on top) it seems the glass used on G5 is more flexible because when you press hard on it you can see the LCD distortion in some spots. In normal use it should not matter and I guess it was necessary to make the top curvature but it can also mean that when the the glass and LCD assembly can become "curvy".
Has anyone applied tempered glass protector yet? How did your application experience go? And if you had a successful one, please share the info of the product you used. NO LINKS.

The glass screen is indeed squishy. This is expected. The G4 was curved. I expect squishy glass is less likely to shatter.

That's the concern I have. I really hope that the cheap, mocked up protector is the issue and not the screen. Top is fine since we know there's curve. We need more owners to provide their experience but may be there aren't that many who purchased the early version of the protectors knowing they would not fit well?
Sent from my LG-H820 using XDA-Developers mobile app
I got my glass screen protector at at&t and installed there, i thought that i was rid of the issue that the protector would not come up at the edges but a week and a half it came up and now i removed the protector and clean it and cleaned the screen and used some clean water to put it on and then i had no issue about the protector coming off at the edges
There's another thread: Here where the same issue is experienced.
I wonder if this is with all G5s or is this just the Titan color that has this issue as some user mention they have Silver devices without the issue.
Tried 3 different suppliers for tempered glass protector and they all did this. I think it's the screen not the protectors.
I installed a cheap square screen protector and am waiting for a "real" one to show up. Currently on order, but taking longer than they originally said. With the one I have on now, I found that you have to install is slightly above the bottom of the screen to be sure it doesn't interfere with the lower, removable pieces of the phone. When I put it on just slightly higher than I wanted to it fit OK. It took me a bunch of tries and the lower right corner has a small bubble in it, but I attributed that to my several installation attempts. The three other corners are fine.
Just got a Yootech Premium glass protector on Amazon last week. It's curved for the tip, so it's a film glasses protector. No issues whatsoever. Fit/alignment is perfect. They even painted the to pay black, so there's no light bleed or distortion there. I'm really happy with it.
I mean, it's a very simple thing to do accidentally. I feel like it's always a 50/50 shot when I try to put down a screen protector bubble-free.
I haven't tried a protector on the G5, but I did have one on the very curved G4 with no issues.

Same product same results here. I waited for yootech to replace the cheap glass protector I bought at launch. I had great results on the G4 with this brand.
+1 on the Yootech. I got one and it is great. At first it looked like there was a light film in one spot between the protector and screen, but it went away in a couple hours.

Same problem ..I used Ringke screen protector
Hello everyone,
It's my first purchase of an LG device as I've always been HTC. The G5 is an amazing phone, hats off to LG for doing a great job. However, it's the worst phone when it comes to fitting a screen protector. I've purchased 5 so far. First 3 turned out to be a more bespoke cut glass at the top section to fit around the camera and underneath the speaker (all happened to be same brand from 3 different sellers, but they all had the same issue. Top section wouldn't adhere and bottom right corner too.
Bought two square protectors that just fit the visible screen and that's slightly better but small areas won't adhere, again top bottom right being the main culprit. Luckily I've been able to get refunded for the poorly fitting protectors but I'm getting fed up of having to change them every few days. I've never had such issue with fitting a protector as I normally get it spot on first time.
Anyone know where I can get a proper one, cut correctly and adhere to the LG's fussy screen?
But do any of them fit with the Spigen Style Armor slide on case?? That is the burning question.
I have a gold G5 and tried 3 tempered glasses in the mall but none fitted my phone. The corners below and above has bubbles lifting the tempered glass. It is now my problem where to find a good protector.

Hi, thanks for the help! But i cannot sign up on this amazon page because it's in german not all are being translated into english
Screen is curved
Just wanted to update you there is not a screen protector that is glass which fits the LG G5 because the screen is curved slightly in the bottom corners. This is an issue which the accessory manufacturers are aware but apparently have no intentions of resolving . So just to be perfectly clear you will not ever find a screen protector that does not bubble on the bottom right and left hand corner unless it is a plastic screen protector.
Hi, just ordered the chrome, on amazon most of the screen protectors are just for the xz, has anyone found some decent ones and most don't look that good. thanks

J&D have good reviews on their other screen protectors. Examining them they look great. No reviews on this specific one yet as no one has the phone of course.
I used to have screen protectors and now I got tempered glass on my z5, but then when I recommend it for my sibling's X performance it was all ugly and didn't fit perfectly...
I'm just going to wait to see real life examples first...
What I mentioned earlier was tempered glass, FYI
I ordered the Roxit Tempered Glass protector from Sony direct. Great cover - the only shame is they have the top and bottom blacked out - which means they have a weird cutout feature at the top allowing you to still read the Sony logo - wish they had just made it clear all the way through. But would rather have the phone protected. Will keep an eye out for better protectors I the future though - as it would be nice to see the full screen on the front.

Hi,
Thanks for the recommendation, that's look good.
On the amazon site, there is no cut out for the bottom speaker? Is this the case with the real product? How does that impact on sound quality?
I got the J&D. Not too happy with the fit. Very hard to capture in photos, but here you go..
The issue is, the sides don't lay flush, so it shows up kind of white and will be a dust magnet.
This is another reason why I wish all OEM's would STOP using this curved 2.5 glass! Unless there is some real reason for using it all it does is make using a tempered glass protector nearly impossible to use because none of them fit properly without big gaps on the sides. The LG G6 is probably the only mainstream phone with a truly flat screen.

Picture please?? How well does it fit on the sides? Does it adhere to the entire screen or just the top and bottom? Link?

Hi,
Thanks for the recommendation, that's look good.
On the amazon site, there is no cut out for the bottom speaker? Is this the case with the real product? How does that impact on sound quality?

There's a cut on the bottom for the speaker. As far as fit, still haven't received the phone from Unlocked Mobiles. Taking a long time to get the chrome one I ordered the beginning of May. Post about my experience when I receive it.

I got the J&D. Not too happy with the fit. Very hard to capture in photos, but here you go..
The issue is, the sides don't lay flush, so it shows up kind of white and will be a dust magnet.

If I don't have better luck with mine I'll do without or try a different brand.
I bought the official Sony Style cover. Reckon I need a screen protector as well?

This is another reason why I wish all OEM's would STOP using this curved 2.5 glass! Unless there is some real reason for using it all it does is make using a tempered glass protector nearly impossible to use because none of them fit properly without big gaps on the sides. The LG G6 is probably the only mainstream phone with a truly flat screen.

I'll try to get a picture up soon!
I'll probably regret doing this but I'm gonna use the XZP naked...Right now I have nothing on my Z5P and it feels so damn nice
I have the Roxfit Tempered Glass and the Roxfit Ultra Slim Soft Shell Case on my XZ Premium.
I like them both but The Roxfit Tempered Glass is a fingerprint magnet which is a bit of a pain sometimes.
close up picture of the Roxit tempered glass - agree it can be a fingerprint/ finger oils magnet! But I presume the normal screen would be too?

The normal screen has an oleophobic coating to help repel fingerprints.
The screen protector looks fairly good in the fit and finish... does it adhere well on the edges, or is there that little lift that allows dust and dirt to gather underneath?

Had it on since day one - and so far hopefully you can see from the photos it does not gather any dust as yet..

I don't recommend it due to the price, I can'f find a screen protector that actually sticks on the sides yet. The case is flimsy which I dont care for but the quality is good if that makes any sense.
Just popped into a shop and saw the chrome - omg - defo my next phone. Used to have a Z1 and had front and rear glass protectors and think the same would be a good idea - not a fan of cases. Anyone seen any rear glass protectors?
Share your tempered glass screen protector for OnePlus 7T Pro here .Let's try to find out which tempered glass screen protector is the best .......
Anyway. glass protectors for 7TPro are the same as for the 7Pro:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-7-pro/accessories/oneplus-7-pro-screen-protectors-t3928686
Apart from the covers, the accessories are the same, so IMHO it's better to first check the OnePlus 7 Pro Accessories section:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-7-pro/accessories
Super easy install with absolutely no bubbles!
"This comes with two screen protectors, an install tool frame, a camera protector, and a carbon fiber skin for the back. I was hesitant when I saw the black frame on the screen protectors, but thought I'd give it a try.
Installation was easy. Do your typical wet towelette, clean it with the included lint free cloth, remove any extra dust with the included sticker. Then comes the easy part. I just put the install frame on, removed the backing from the screen protector to expose the adhesive and dropped it carefully into the frame. Lightly pressed all around and in the center (no squeegee needed) and that was it. No bubbles!
I immediately put the case on and you can see my ringke case isn't touching the screen protector at all. I opened the Play store to see if those black frames would block anything and I don't see a problem with it at all.
Of course the next thing to check was the fingerprint scanner. Just push thr screen some more around the fingerprint area to make sure the protector has fully stuck to the screen then it should be good. It worked with 3 of my 4 enrolled fingers and I had to re-enroll one. After that, all 4 worked.
The camera protector and carbon fiber skin were next and the camera protector was easy to put on. I had a slight difficult time aligning the skin properly but it was easy to peel while being installed.it was my first time installing a skin so I expected some difficulty, but got it on nicely.
Bottom line, for the price and what you get, I don't think anything can beat this."

It covers the whole screen, there's only a slight space on top (because of speaker). I'm using Karbon bumper case and I don't notice any space on the edges, pretty much feels I'm using the phone without a screen protector. Hopefully I answered your question.

Ordered 2 of those that come tomorrow. Hopefully, my install will be as good as yours... I've tried these LOCA installs and my very first one went fine without any issues. My second and third attempt were horrible though I'm pretty sure it was the crappy ebay protectors instead of my handiwork... lol
Went with WhiteStone and it is flawless.

How is it applying the adhesive to the screen? That's what's holding me back.
it's actually not that hard just watch a couple of videos and then what I recommend is when you set everything up just do a mock-up of how you would tilt the contraption with your finger and make sure that things line up or your table is leveled. The next tip is once you get the the liquid onto the screen you can slightly move it around if it needs to go slightly up or down or to the middle before you actually start the actual process that way you can make sure the liquid will fall in the middle correctly.
In my case when I started the liquid didn't hit exactly in the middle and actually hit slightly above the middle before I let go of the PIN to drop it onto the screen so what I did is as it was opening and spreading out to the rest of the screen I actually tilted the phone towards the bottom so to make sure that it keeps spreading towards the bottom and that actually worked. other thing I did is make sure that I use tiny piece of Scotch tape to cover the headphone speakerphone on the top of the phone as well just in case.
I forgot to add after it cures make sure to reregister your finger print security scans again.
Hands down, Whitestone Domeglass. While they don't have one specifically for the OnePlus T Pro McLaren, the screen is identical to the 7 Pro. The back of the 7 pro is different, but the screen is the same. Not cheap but I use them exclusively.

It just came today. I've never had an issue with any of my phone cases with any of my phones using done glass. I expect the case that comes with the McLaren will work. I'll post after I install it tomorrow.
I just installed the Domeglass. It works fine with the McLaren case. Not lifting.
Here is mine after completion with the McLaren case on it
I still use the McLaren case cause it's still the best both in feel and aesthic.
I've tried a bunch of cases, poetic etc all the name brands but they take away too much from the overall feel. Either too bulky it bumpy or too thick.
Still haven't found one that is both sleek and doesn't take too much away. Still searching...
Btw none of them had a negative affect on the white dome.
Anyone find a front film screen protector for the front screen of the fold? I saw some for folding screen on eBay...I know that is a no no but not much for front. Share link if you bought one!
Thanks
:good:
Thanks for the effort but link to Chinese website in Youtube video is broken. I'll just wait till something comes up on Amazon I suppose.

That's a skin not a screen protector. And it has a cut section to help peel the screen bit off of the rest so no good as a screen protector

yeah that is a skin...strange no clear film for front (small screen) for this device anywhere. I like the look of the front with no case and back with case when closed. Maybe I'll try to cut my own...
just applied the matte naked skin from slickwrap. the front has option to leave front screen skin on. works well. looks good too
---------- Post added at 04:51 AM ---------- Previous post was at 04:47 AM ----------
another advantage is that there are no smudges or finger prints residue on front screen once you apply this

I'm using an inside screen protector found on ebay. I remember seeing a set for the all the surfaces including the hinge on there. It's a softer self healing material. But man does it help save the inside screen from and nasty little scratches or finger nail marks. Just give it a quick search on ebay

Seems to not be a good idea to put inside screen protector. I think most i see will go on ok and will bend fine but when you eventually remove it it will pull on the soft stock screen and pull it away from the internal screen components. If it is fragile putting pressure on it probably worse pulling on it!
How about the hinge?

so far i have only seen that one "healing screen protector" from korea come with a hinge skin.
are there any other links anyone knows about?
I just put the ebay one on the outside and inner screen. Application is... a b*tch. Lots of patience and do/redo. However, the screen feels REALLY nice now with it on. That + the leather case from Samsung is an awesome combo now!
