I'm reviving my x10 mini e10i this year 2019! I really want this phone because there was a sentimental value which was gave to me by my aunt last 2011. Also, it's really cute android phone!!! I successfully flashed 2.1.1.C, locked bootloader, rooted by flashtool but problems are as follows:
1. No sim card in phone as stated in Lock Screen (my sim is currently working on other phone) Don't know if PC Companion will fix this and also msm7227.
2. Dimmed Lights on edges (As I suspect, backlight is now low as my x10 mini was used before the battery was dead last 2013.) Planning to buy lcd replacement.
3. Battery. I ordered class B battery and don't know if it will last longer. So hope I can learn how to modded ep500 battery soon.
4. Camera LED Flash was already burnt out. No lights when taking picture. Can I replace it? (As an update, I figured out that LED flash is part of the sim card flex. Is it possible that sim card ribbon was already damaged that's why the phone says insert sim card and no led flash when taking picture?)
As an update, my phone has now a signal! I just figured out that I didn't connect the sim card ribbon flex to the phone that's why it doesn't have network and camera led flash.
As an update again, I found out that earpiece is not working anymore. Does earpiece is part of the lcd?

Hello everyone...
Well, here goes a sad story
Got my x10i in April this year, running on 1.6
Recently dropped my phone, the camera, vibrator & GPRS stopped working.
It was around the time 2.1 was released officially.
There was no physical damage on the phone except for the top-back portion - (the silver casing below the on/off button on the back side) was slightly ajar.
Though i knew it was a hardware issue, i tried re-installing 1.6, then upgraded to 2.1, on both occasions the problems were not fixed.
i turned the phone into the service center apprehensively cos i love my phone and i have not heard great reviews about them.Hoping against hope they would be able to fix it.
Nevertheless they were not able to, the physical damage was fixed, as in the casing.
Then they tell me the board needs to be changed - which i feel is not the only wayout.
Changing the board is as good as buying a new phone cost wise.
Now the problem i have since I got the phone back - upon every restart there is a camera icon blinking and it takes a long time before the phone boots to home.
I know this indicates the phone is flashing itself, but everytime?
Now my questions-
1) is there a solution to the camera, vibrator & GPRS not working?
2) why does the flashing/camera icon blink happen everytime on reboot? any solutions?
Do let me know your thoughts!
Thanks
Anyone??
Vibrator, lol.
Try repairing using SEUS update service.
Sent from my X10a using XDA App
Well, SEUS update service does not have an update option.
PC Companion does but it seems to be giving errors.
Mid way through the process it stops downloading & asks me to try again.
Attempted 4 times
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=825675
download those staff
then follow instruction
when is ask for connect phone in
Flash mode
take off battery
keep the back button when connect usb
it should be only green led on (phone is tuned off)
and press enter in the computer
I'm having problems with my phone. My warranty is already over btw. My phone is having a black screen, but the touchscreen works. The rest of the phone works. Vibration, keypad buttons etc. I disassembled my phone, removing the front screen (I think its the digitizer/touchscreen) with the connection. Without the front screen, the phone display will light up and I'm able to see everything, but I cannot touch or move anything on that display. I presume its the LCD screen. So now, whenever I connect the digitizer to the phone, the screen of the LCD turns black again. Now, if I loosely fit the connecting wire to the phone from the digitizer, both display and touchscreen will work. But if I connect it properly, the screen turns black again. Correct me if I'm wrong in the screen names. I need advice on what I should do. Thanks!
the same problem for what i asked advice before...but i have sent it for repair some 20 days ago and its still under repair...mine is still in warranty...so i didnt fiddle with it.
what charger you use? i think my display went dead bcoz of the samsung charger...now i swear not to buy any sony handset ever...never faced a problem with nokia sets for over 10 years...i think i overdosed my handset with flashing and charging...anyway...thats a hardware problem so you better take assistance from a service centre.

I've sent to the Sony service centre. Luckily they accepted it. Same, I have never faced a problem with Nokia phones before. Still good and running. I'll never buy a Sony product again
Too bad Nokia doesn't build Android devices. If it does, I'll certainly buy one. Despite the software Nokia phones had always been the strongest. But I doubt a charger will cause such problems...
Hello! So my Xperia Mini pro has been broken, it doesn't show any image anymore, I think there is a problem with the screen but I want a confirmation or recommendation to find out what the problem is.
First the screen "touch" capability stopped working, and then two weeks after that, the back and option buttons stopped working too. And a week after that ,there was like a screen "flickering" (I tried to recreate the problem in the attached image) when I tried to either open or close the slider.
Finally the screen stopped working anymore. I tried to connect the phone to the PC but says that windows cannot recognize the hardware. And there's one more thing: I can turn on the phone, it vibrates, but the keyboard lights seems that are not working, they are permanently off.. and when I try to Increase the volume it doesn't sound either... There is only the black screen and a backlight.
Please Help me to find out what is the problem, I'm thinking to buy a screen replacement on eBay, but some people told me that is the "flex" cable. I'm not sure if there is a fix for my phone's problem.
Thanks!
Hey there.
Based on my experience, yes, your problem is most likey a flex ribbon issue. Your flex has been ripping apart lately, causing many of its wires to break. This can cause a lot of unpredictable problems, such as a misbeheaving notification LED, inactive ambient light sensor, or "dead" display/touch digitizer. Your problems have gotten worse over time, which is clearly a symptom of a broken flex.
You phone is no longer booting up to android because the kernel no longer detects a proper "response" from the display driver and halts the bootup. This is why you can feel the phone vibrating when pressing the power button, but nothing else happens. Your screen assembly is fine, I can assure you that, unless your glass is broken, of course.
Here's one hell of a good teardown guide: http://www.ifixit.com/Teardown/Sony+Ericsson+Xperia+Mini+Pro+SK17i+Teardown/7275
I used that very same guide when I repaired my own xmp. I regret messing with my screen assembly because I destroyed it and had to buy a new one, which is costly
Thank You so much for the advice ! Now I'll try to repair it, It doesn't seem too difficult. Thank You Again!!!
Dear All,,
Device : Xperia Z2
ROM : existenZ ultimate 4
Here i requesting your assistance due to an error experienced by my device, Xperia Z2.
lately I use Z2 for under water photo, to be precise at Feb 20, 2015
Cronology:
1. Using phone under water for photo
2. activating touch block feature to prevent screen to be 'touched' by water
3. touch block's 'slide to deactivate' suddenly missing
4. until now I cannot touch my screen.
5. I do re-flash stock ftf file .167, but no changes, even in first use setup I cannot touch language selection.
If anyone have some clue to this issue, please tell me immediately.
Because I'm from Indonesia and Sony Service Center here is somewhat not satisfying.
Thank you.
Best Regards,
Amri

anyone?
Well if it's a software problem reflashing .ftf back to stock should have fixed it... did you select to wipe cache and data in flashtool when you flashed?
If you didn't i would suggest to try that, if you did that already i think it's possible your digitizer got damaged by the water somehow :S
Do you see any kind of water traces/residue inside your phone?

Thank you for your response,
I did wipe data and cache,
water traces?
only saw some in camera (camera is blurry with water vapors).
i'm sorry but i dont really understand about digitizer thing,,
can you help suggest me what to do next?
Thank you.
By telling us that there was some vapour inside camera, I guess your phone isn't waterproof. Flaps were closed when you put it inside the water?
If yes and there's water, as I said. Somehow your waterproof is gone and by that water get's in and might get something done to your digitizer. Only Sony can fix it.
i agree with damian01211, probably some water got into your phone and damaged your digitizer (touch screen), if it was software related flashing .ftf with wipes would have fixed it
if you still have warranty use it...

if your diagnosis are pointing to digitizer,
as you said, only sony can fix it,
then i'll definitely go there because i still have warranty here,
as for complain with this matter to sony,
any suggestion to how to push them to repair my device quickly or at least willing to accept my device ??
Thank you.
Well, when I destroy my digitizer by using Fairy Washing Up Liquid to clean my screen, I went to my network operator, told them that my phone was working perfectly well on a given day and then next day when I woke up, my touch screen didn't work.
They've check if the water got it in by checking white paper above sim card if it's red and took my Z2 for repair.
If your paper is red (check it, it's above your sim card, flip the phone) then good luck (let's hope it's white) as they might accept it or not.
In Ireland even if water get's to your phone it does cover under warranty but I have no idea in Indonesia.

well, I checked it and it's white.
and that mean my phone didn't go un-waterproof-ed right??
No, that's mean that water didn't get in.
Good 4 you
Hi guys,
I'm new with Xperia Z ultra C6833 that I got from my friend for free (my old phone died). The only problem with Xperia was craked digitizer.
So I ordered OEM LCD with digitizer assembly from ebay and replaced the assembly (and put new adhesive as well). When I power on the phone the screen stays completely black no matter what (even no backlight).
For making sure that it isn't the softbrick issue I flashed the stock ROM via flashtool. I powered on the phone, the power on sound is played, but still black screen. The LED normaly indicates charging, I hear the sound when adjusting volume. With SIM card inserted I tried to call myself, and it works (the phone is ringing), and swiping on that black screen to accept call it works, but i can't reject call.
So, please help... has this happened to anybody??? I'm just trying to find out is this the problem with the new screen or could it be the problem with the motherboard???
P.S. My computer and Xperia Companion normally recognizes the phone.
Update:
the screen is working with no blacklight, and touch sometimes goes berserk...
