The other day I woke up and saw the notification for an EMUI update so I proceeded to install it. It downloaded and installed correctly. However, when it rebooted, it booted into Huawei eRecovery. I tried to restore using WiFi with no success. I tried clearing my cache and doing a factory reset with no success either.
Can you guys help me? Thanks a lot.
Try factory reset again and wait till the phone boots up or runs out of battery, worked for me once.

I don't know which firmware I had. Is there any way to know that? I never rooted the phone, so it must be the official firmware. Is there any site to look up for that? I searched and didn't find anything, but I'm really new to all of this.
K no problem , download official firmware and flash It

Thanks for the reply. Before I try this I have a couple of questions. Doing this voids the warranty? Would I get notifications for new android/emui updates like before?
Ya your warranty is void .
You will definitely get emui updates in notification.
If you don't want that update simply ignore it

You don't need to download anything to your SD card . install FF on B183 , follow the instructions and choose which rom you want and check its compatible with your device . Then select by using in app proxy , then modify your wifi settings to set up the proxy . Finally go to settings > system > system update and check for an update

Yes,it fails to install,i've tried both the OTA and full rom to get the same error. The hisuit recognises the update and downloads it but fails to install. Does the firmware needs to BE copied to the phone?
Hisuite should automatically copy the firmware to the phone once its downloaded , it does take a good 15 minutes or more to copy it too , then the phone should restart and install by itself

Hello
Im on Android 9 beta, but I want to rollback. Huawei released a few days a 150 rom for rollback, I downloaded from FF but I don't know how to flash. Im on stock rom, locked bootloader and no root. The rom contains 2 files.

You would install it through the Beta app.

Try with eRecovery, it might work.
The beta app doesn't have any option to flash, it's only for report bugs. The eRecovery doesn't have a restore option neither.
I opened a chat with huawei and they told me to restore using Hisuite with a "back to another version" option, but this option doesn't exist in the app.

Can you post a screenshot with the eRecovery screen?
To access eRecovery, you must connect usb cable first, then power on the device with Power +Volume UP combo.

Ah, I tried with the normal recovery.
I've tried using erecovery but it fails searching for the rom
Hi,
Did you manged to solve it i am having the same problem
Actually, how did you get beta?
If you used FH you would have to use that to roll back as you're not approved for Beta.
Showing unknown error-1, this is a debloated phone, so couldn't sign out mi account in settings, unlock status under developer settings shows could not verify, please login once again.
May be try with a new account
Re bloat. Sounds crazy but that might just work. Download the latest miui ans update via the updater or maybe install the missing apps from playstore.

I have the same Version as you and also got no update yet.
I think we'll have to wait. It seems that the EU-versions always get the updates as last.

Tried with Firmware finder eRecovery install?
Dload should work as long as you're using an actual offline firmware, the ones from FF will not work.
Update
Only with hisuite ?

1. Try update via HiCare
2. In System update app > right upper corner > three dots > select Download latest full package
2. You can flash Service ROM .243 from dload , there is instruction in the firmware (ReleaseDoc). External USB must be in exFAT format. Warning: this process will erase all the data from your device!!!
