COD Mobile on LTE - OnePlus 7T Pro (Regular & McLaren) Q & A

I'm at a total loss, thus I'm hoping someone can figure this out.
COD Mobile runs great on wifi, but when on mobile data, game starts, and with in 3-5 seconds, every player leaves the game, and it's just me running around the map. Players are moving and everything appears to be okay during those 3-5 seconds.
Obviously this is a connection issue with my phone.
Pixel 2 XL and ROG Phone 2 had no issues and my mobile data is very fast thus I don't believe it's my service but some setting on this phone.
I have reinstalled, factory reset, and still no avail.
Any ideas?

[Q] Data Speed fine but drops constantly

I use my phone at work to listen to Pandora and TuneIn a lot, but one day it started stuttering so bad I could no longer use them.
For example, with Pandora, when I start the app it'll say "Loading" or "Buffering 1%" then skip to the next song.. and skip to the next song, and so on. When listening to TuneIn is plays for a bit, then buffers, stops, plays, stops plays, enough to pretty much be un-listenable.
Now I've tried everything, re-provisioned, factory wiped, even installed a whole new ROM (MeanICS) and it still does this. I've wiped and re-installed the applications, still a no go.
Ran SpeedTest multiple times and everything seems fine. Anyone have a clue as to what in the world is going on?
I blame the network. I don't know what the hell is going on, but I have had more issues with the data on this phone than I have on my old phone. I've talked to Sprint about it and they offer zero help on the issue. I also can't get "Roam only" to work on my phone, so I've been trying to rotate songs through my SD card.

I've experienced this a few times while downloading apps or surfing the web. At times it flies and other times it just crawls. My reception is always 4 or 5 bars and asking Sprint why something isn't working is like pulling teeth.

yea man i do that to and i love google music and when im on 3g it keeps on loading so i keep songs on my sd card also but sometimes google play works on a 3g network. hopefully LTE works alot better.
The nice thing about Google Music is the offline cache, it decreases the pauses when I'm switching between no signal/1x/EVDO. Unfortunately it isn't as helpful when you're mostly without a signal.

Wifi and Youtube Stopping/starting

Since I've had my note 2 for about 2 weeks now, when I'm connected to WIFI (b/g/n at both work and home) at random times when I start You Tube I will get a really long load time (Circle chasing itself) the video will play eventually then at random times it will stop and try to buffer. This happens in either landscape or portrait mode. When I turn off WIFI and use LTE I have no problems. I've stopped the You Tube application and relaunched it same problem. I've paused and it wont buffer. I've started and then stopped and launched it again. It normally takes a good 2-3 times of starting and stopping before I'm able to watch something off my feed. Then at any point after that the problem might pop up again.
I've used my old phone a My touch 4g and 2 IPhone 4s and neither of them have the problem.
I thought the problem might be something strange in the stock rom. So I rooted and installed CleanRom ACE 4.0.5. Problem still occurring. I tried WIFI Fix and checked the status of the the router/restarted etc.. WIFI settings are: Keep WIFI on during sleep: Always
Not sure if maybe I got a bad phone or what.. any one have any idea's?

Mobile Network can't connect after using Wifi (S6 Edge)

I have a bizarre problem that just started happening, I can't connect to mobile network after using a wifi connection for some time. No matter what I do, the S6 edge won't connect.
I've tried switching mobile connection on and off, restarting the phone, turning the phone off and back on, switching sim cards with another phone (the other phone immediately gets connection), switching airplane mode on/off. I've gone to Samsung and my mobile provider and they have both blamed each other (of course, right?). The most frustrating part is that this happens about 50-75% of the time with my home and office wifi, and almost never with anyone else's wifi (for example trying it in the Samsung store). It will sometimes get a connection 10-15 minutes later, sometimes it takes several hours.
Samsung service has offered to take the phone in to 'review and test' but they need to do a full wipe and it will most likely take several days of testing. Knowing that the problem is almost impossible to replicate outside of my home and office, and the issue goes away by the time a service tech will ever see the phone, and the struggle to back up and restore my apps without root, I'm not sure what to do right now. Temporarily I have turned off wifi and just use mobile connection, but I'll hit my monthly data cap really soon.
This started happening 2 weeks after AOE4, just upgraded to AOE8 and it still happens. My phone is SM-G9250 with Taiwan ROM.

Did you try wiping the cache?
I thought the cache is wiped whenever you do OTA update?
I'll do it manually again right now and see if it helps. Thanks for the tip.

I have the same issue! Very annoying, and miss phone calls all the time or am unable to make them because of this...
Will try the cache wipe
Wiped the system cache from Boot, problem still there.
I also wiped the cache for all apps.
I also tried the phone in safe mode and has the same problem.

So the only work around I can find is to go into settings:
1.) 'Mobile Networks'
2.) 'Network mode'
3.) Switch to 3g/2g (I don't have 4G right now, have to pay extra for it)
4.) go to 'Network operators'
5.) 'Search Networks'
6.) choose my network provider
Now the phone works just like it always did, smoothly switch between wifi and 3G and H/H+
I'm not sure what changed as I have never had 4G since it costs me extra.

Mobile Data Randomly Dropping

My mobile data will randomly stop working even while I'm using the phone. Mind you, it also does this on standby. I will be using the browser and my mobile data for the active SIM (I use 2 SIMs) will just stop working and the phone will tell me that there's no network connection. The 3G/H/LTE text will disappear from the status bar, but I will still have signal to make calls. I have to disable and re-enable data to get it to work again. It does this at least a few times a day.
Anyone else having this problem?
/edit: I realize that sometimes signal for that SIM will drop altogether and come back, but mobile data still has to be manually enabled. Not sure if this is a software issue.
Just done a search on XDA and came across your post. My wife has recently being having problems with her OnePlus X in that mobile signal keeps dropping intermittently. At home we have a 3 Home Signal box and the signal will just suddenly go, check my phone and it's fine. Swap SIMS and it'll be exactly the same, but then just randomly kick back in.
WiFi performance doesn't seem great either after doing several speed tests in various rooms in the house.
Have you still got issues or did you ever fix your problems? Appreciate that this is bringing up an old thread.

Question Mobile data automaticly turn on and turn off during watch video on youtube or video call on viber.

When you use the mobile Internet, it sometimes happens that the 4g or 4g plus icon on the status bar to the left of the network signal strength, which appears when mobile data is turned on the. The same icon when watching a YouTube video, disappears on its own for a second, several times in a row, sometimes for several seconds. The problem is that when I'm on a video call on Viber, when the mobile data icon disappears, it stops my video and when it picks up after a second, the video continues normally. Also, when you watch a video on YouTube, when the icon disappears and appears below the video, it shows the text that the network is established. I've done a software repair via xperia companion, factory reset the phone, reset internet settings, reverted to factory APN in settings, swapped the SIM card, but the problem is still there. I think it started happening after the latest system update. The same situation as if you turned off and immediately turned on the mobile internet yourself. Is the problem something to do with the phone's software, hardware or the mobile operator itself? Does anyone know how this nonsense can be solved? Thank you
The US model is no better. It hops around on different channel aggregations and loses signal for a moment during each switch. It interrupts phone calls constantly.
I'm keeping an eye on different brands of phones and 3rd party ROMs. Based on the reviews of the Mark IV series, I think Sony isn't interested in making their phones work.
