I keep getting notifications from the Google Play Movies & TV app. I went into the app settings to turn off notifications and I see I already had the app marked as "disabled". Why is this disabled app running? Does disabled mean something different to android than it does to me?

I'm not sure where to post this, but i'm having a weird issue with play music
i have all my songs uploaded to play music. i listen to them using my laptop browser and ipad play music app
All my songs are also present on my phone's storage,
when i use the play music app on my android phone, music that are liked, deleted, or added to a play list doesnt appear on my cloud, it doesnt sync to the ipad or my laptop browser. (i'm not a noob, i obviously enabled sync for play music)
i'm thinking this happens because android play music app confuse the duplicate music that exist in my phone and in the cloud.
I need to keep my music in the phones local storage because i dont have fast internet access on mobile data.
How can i make google play music android app to display ONLY online content?
currently the only option is "all music" and "on device"
Although I have a motox I use the smartconnect app to automatically start playing music via Google play music when my phone connects to my car's Bluetooth.
But after the recent update to google play music (on July 7th) this functionality no longer works. I've uninstalled the play music app and went back to previous version and issue persists.
Can one of you please try this on your devices and let me know please.
I use the start action > play tracks > play
Note: Google play music is my only installed music app
I've sent Google 2 emails through the feedback option in the Google Play Music app, but we all know google never responds to those emails.

Mine started doing the Walkman app instead of Google Music after I updated the Walkman app, had to remove the play command and just open Google Music instead to make it launch that rather than Walkman.

Did this start happening to you after the recent (July 7th) update to the Google Play Music app?

Yep, and after the Walkman update, so not sure which did it.
Trust me it's the google play music update that did it.
I don't know if google did it on purpose, or it's a bug.

I was so annoyed by the whole I did a factory reset, to get this working again. I just won't update the google play music app.

Suddenly whenever I open a media app the notification widget will open and stay open until I force close the app. This happens with Google Play Music, BeyondPod, Podcast Addict and YouTube. Had anyone else had this issue? It's very annoying and crowds my notification panel.
If you mean the notification stays while media plays, that's normal and nothing new. It's a 'persistent notification'.
There is no media playing, it just stays open in a "paused" state even though I had no content playing at the moment.

Hi all,
I have an Android Headunit which is currently using the default music app. I'm looking for another one that has more functions.
When the unit starts up it will generally run the last running app which would normally be the music app. with the music app it will auto start playing again.
I'm basically looking for a decent music app that will auto start when opened. As well one that has album cover and has the random music function option.
I've played around with Tasker to play the music when the app runs but this won't work when the head unit auto starts the app.
Thanks
i think many music apps can do that, when you open the app the music starts, all you need is to set in the setting.
i search for you online, there's 10 best music apps, but i don't know whether i can put the link in the forum. try this:
www dot techsupportalert dot com/content/best-free-music-player-and-organizer-android dot htm
if not, please tell me i will delete it immediately!!
the players i've tried don't seem to have that setting. The last one was Poweramp which seems to only auto start if headphones are plugged in.
Hey guys,
my problem is about the KTM App "MY RIDE CONNECT" of the playstore. With the app you can manage your music in google play music via your motocycle.
Now i don't wanna control google play music with it rather i wanna controll spotify. Is is somehow possible to change the app code so i can control spotify?
Thank you!

It's always all possible.
In your case you'ld have to
Decompile the app
Rewrite app's program code
Recompile the app
Sign the recompiled app
I already tried it but I can't really find the code in which the app communicates with google play music. Do you know where I have to search for it?
I only found a line in which it checks whether com.google.play.music is installed or not. Changing it to com.spotify.music obviously didn't change a thing.
So do you know where the communication normally happens with Google Play Music?
Thank you
