We've had that for long time now. Why are you bumping this 2017 thread?
android q exists now and the Pie mods don’t seem to do anything on it

"Dual Speaker Mode" mixer paths even changed from stock Nougat to stock Oreo to stock Pie. Each time it had to be done differently. You just need to find/change the mixer paths for "Android 10".
"Q" doesn't really exist, by the way. Q was the beta name for Android 10, like "N" prior to Nougat (Android 7), "O" prior to Oreo (Android 8) and "P" prior to Pie (Android 9). But when time came for Android 10 to be officially launched, instead of full dessert/sweet snack name, Google decided to jettison that naming scheme and go with numbering scheme. "Android 10" is the official name for the firmware that was ONLY called "Q" while in beta. AOSP ROMs are not using the beta version of Android 10, so calling it "Q" is misleading.

Hello all,
I am searching now for a longer time to find out how to install the GCAM on my Redmi Note 4. But now I am thinking there is NO GCAM for Redmi Note 4 available.
Tried to search on en.miui.com / google.com for a proper installation guide. But nothing found.
To confirm there is really now GCAM updated available for the REDMI NOTE 4 GLOBAL? can somebody tell me why or if there is a GCAM where to look?
I am now on LineageOS14.2 with the latest update from a few days ago. And I already downloaded the following:
buildprop editor - persist.camera.HAL3=enabled-1 , and I have now full access. But now to find the GCAM for Note 4 is a more pain in duh asser.
Hey buddy join RN4 official group on telegram.....
There is variety of roms
And gcams there
+ Lot of development is going on there...must check out

Lineage has camera.api 2 already enabled, so there's no need to edit your buildprop.
There are lots of topics about GCam on our phone. Here's one for example:

Thank you I will try it.
One more question why all the GCAM version are tweaked by the phone model? Since this is a APK it should work on all devices after changing some things like the persist.camera.HAL3 module etcetc.
In the Oneplus topic I saw a topic with the complete details for specially Oneplus created.

Hallo,
most versions are not specifically made for our RN4, but work regardless. One exception is the version by UriKill, a russian developer from 4pda.ru, he posted it in a RN4 photography thread. It has a new slowshutter mode (for low light only) in the options that removes some noise in low light fairly well, but you gotta hold for phone still for a few seconds. In the Options put Model: 5x, Config 5x, HDR Setting: Low (the setting "Highest" doesnt make a difference in quality, just takes longer time).

Hi guys,
I think those questions are not new but i not find up to date and really complete thread for this.
I want to run with lineageOS on my S9+ like my old OnePlus One.
I read many threads about camera. It use a closed software but with GCam port what fonctions are break ? aperture OK ? Gcam can run without google play service ?
Others features are breaks ? (i know for samsung software like knox, i mean hardware features like VoLTE)
On Lineage, i can use full encryption and after update OS with TWRP (twrp have no problem for decrypt phone and apply update ?)
Thanks o/
The gcam port is working but the flash is still buggy.

all camera hardware features works ?
edit : i have exynos version if that change something
Yes the camera works and the video recording..but definitely not as good and stable as the touchwiz stock camera...
Thanks for your response.
And for others features like VoLTE, you know if it's OK ?
I just installed the android pie update miui 10.1
But the gcam for android pie doesn't seem to be working fine ... Any opinions?
Yep, it doesn't work with Stable Pie version. Developers might be working on new version, wait for it.
Till that time you can use the gcam made for Oreo version.
Though, AR stickers works really good on Pie's Gcam. For more details visit gcam thread on xda.
If bootloader unlocked try the gcam fix in page 196.. because current stable pie using old vendor lib..
Ya same here.....it keeps lagging....plz tell a solution without a root

App not installed
I was just waiting for the pie update so that after the update I would install the gcam. But whenever be the APK the app is not getting installed. Any ideas for it?
Hello,
well title says it all so i was on the hunt for some gcam apks to try out but cant get any of them to be installed on my SM-A310F which is running lineage 17.1 since a week ago. Has anyone found something that is working yet?
I would also accept suggestions for a proper cam app cause stock lineage cam doesnt work well for some reason.
sorry if this has been asked before but couldnt really find something targeted for Galaxy A3 (2016)
thank you.
