The phone's camera, in particular during videos, cannot focus properly so most of the time the image is blurry.
here is an example.
in the photos, the situation is slightly better. of course before opening a new thread, I've made some research but this seems to be a rare issue.
any word on this? thanks.

I guess you use a case for the OnePlus 7 pro, instead of for the 7t pro? The 7t pro needs the cutout for the laser focus next to the camera.
If you have a case with that cutout, hardware issue. Tried factory reset? Is it that bad from the beginning when you got it?

Am I the only person who is bothered by the amount of lens distortion you get on the Z2?
I sold the Z1 for that reason, and just when about to take a picture of my Note 3, when I wanted to put it up for sale, it shows the Z2 has just the same amount of distortion.
I'm attaching a picture taken with the Z2. Just check out the horizontal straight lines, in the Windows box and the monitor frame. It all bulges in and outwards.
I imagine my camera isn't the only one.
Why is nobody else bothered by this? Any fix for this?
It might be an optical illusion. If there is a lens problem why the phone's line are straight? Open in a photo editor and draw a line between the top and bottom corners of the box and see if there is an illusion or not.
The fix is lightroom or Photoshop hehe

I'm no expert in photography, but I guess it's because you took a close shot. If you take pictures from more far away this won't be an issue anymore. If I remember correctly, this is an issue related to the small optical sensor.
I don't know if all phones nowadays suffer from this, but I'm sure the HTC One M7 did.
Usually the phone corrects this using software methods.

It's definitely no optical illusion, and Photoshop is also not quite the answer, as the distortion is quite irregular. I tried applying the lens distortion filter, but it won't come out right.
Straight lines at the left and right also slant towards the middle.
Small lens problem, yes. But that Galaxy Note 3 also has a small lens, and the problem there is far less pronounced. On top of that you get the blurriness in all the Z2 pictures.
I'm really quite disappointed. I sold the Z1 shortly after getting it for the same problems, I was optimistic that Sony had sorted the problem, but sadly that is not the case.

I have this problem too when shooting video as well as taking pictures. My Z1 and Z did not have this problem. It should be something that is corrected when the shot is taken but it seems it's not. I'll contact Sony as it seems only you and I here have this problem...

Mine seems ok but the corners are quite blurry which was also reported by some reviewers. Especially the left lower corner. A bit dissapointing compared to my previous phone the Galaxy S4. But I usually crop the photos anyway.

Go here http://www.the-digital-picture.com/Help/Distortion.aspx and choose "WAVE DISTORSION", check if it looks like this when you are shooting something 40-50 cm or closer... you really should see it. I have the blurry corners too. Again Z and Z1 did NOT suffer from this problem. Hope to hear back from Sony but my complaint was their first but a friend of mine has the exact same problem.
Here's my test picture I've taken.
Looks like a typical case of pin cushion distortion.
I think it's pretty bad. What should I do?
Anyone using any lenses, like wide angle, fisheye, macro, etc. on their Nexus 6? If so, can you share any information and pics/videos of your set up? I was thinking about investing, but not sure if I should go with the clip or if I should go with a magnet one (also not sure if there is a magnet built in around the camera ala the Nexus 5).
I am a total noob when it comes to this stuff so any help would be awesome. Also, apologies if there is another thread on this topic, but I did not have any luck finding one.

Not sure if you're aware of this, but there was no magnet built around the Nexus 5's camera. Yes, people were able to mount the magnetic camera lenses to the N5's camera directly, but the only thing it would have been attaching itself to would have been the mechanisms for image stabilization, basically making that useless with the lens on, and also the small possibility of causing some sort of damage to the system in some way down the line.

I will second this. Do not put something magnetic near your camera. You will break your ois.

They fit ok. You can't have a case on the phone, though. They also have to be used from the top, instead of from the side.
Does it cover up the flash ring?

Pretty much. It has to, to not interfere with the actual camera.
Ah well... I don't know the last time I used a phone flash anyway. ?
I got some for my old iphone 5s and it fits the Nexus 6 fine, fits in the black ring on the camera so flash is fine. Only few £$ on ebay.
I loved, and still live my MXPE camera. This one seems a little lackluster comparatively. Any found a setting that needs tweaked? It seems very software related.
I haven't had any issues, I miss the old layout but I changed the option from shutter button to tap anywhere and it feels better.
Aside from redoing a point and click to help adjust light, no, haven't discovered any big tricks yet. Pro mode doesn't add all that much. Related to camera, anyone get scratching on cams lens? I had it for two days and kept in soft sunglasses case, and already it's covered in microscratches, my note 4 has been abused for a while now and has zero, little disconcerting

Mid-light seems to cause real dramas for the Moto Z camera. Bright or low light no problems but there's some terrible shutter lag in mid-light. It can be easily overcome by going into Pro mode and increasing the shutter speed (at the expensive of added noise) but it's a shame it's not been turned to this setting out of the box.

The same story here, after 2 days of careful usage, I noticed two scratches on the camera glass that's supposed to be made of gorilla glass 4, the best way I found to deal with it is to put a dbrand skin on it, costs just 99 cents, it just arrived today. Another thing about the camera, is it just me, or it seems slow to react to movement, like when in the camera app you move the phone and the image on the screen moves real slow a second later, like back in the day on cheap Chinese no brand phones:laugh:, doesn't happen all the time though, hard to say what the reason for this behavior might be.

That "slow to react" thing is the image stabilization catching up, can be worse sometimes than others. And I would get a protector for my lens if it didn't create a whole other layer of light refracting scratches. This lens is like putting little tike wheels on a sports car, totally embarassing in design and kinda unacceptable

Then there's this, Not happy with how easily the lens scratches. I don't abuse my devices...
So baby that thang if you want the camera below the crappy shield to work

Please give a picture of your camera lens. I had same problem. The UV protection layer does this when it gets old. I removed it with toothpaste. Now everything is clear and crisp again..

Try cleaning your lens cover (outside camera glass) with toothpaste before opening the mobile.. Search on YouTube.. Htc m8 also has this kind of problem.. You'll find instructions there..

here is the ultimate answer clean the glass with VINEGAR or MR.Muscle
(http://www.bigbasket.com/pd/263939/mr-muscle-kitchen-cleaner-500-ml/?utm_source=google)
I faced this many times when i go to parties functions and celebrations. Pics will be foggy and blurry when camera lens is bad with daily reasons like sweat, cake, pastry, oil. humidity etc ....
Does anyone else have this issue?
I'm seeng a blueish or greenish tint when looking at the display on white background. If I tilt it a bit it disappears.
Mate 20 pro had the same thing. I was hoping they fixed it.
Do we know who's the manufacturer of the screens?
Don't have any issue with this.
Samsung is manufacturing the screen from what I read.

There's nothing you can do about it as it's normal for curved screens. There's also some tint on my s10 plus. Besides, there is already a thread on this issue. p30 pro's screen is from boe and the p30 is from samsung if im not mistaken.
