Xiaomi Mi9T/K20 Hard brick recover tutorial - Redmi K20 Pro / Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro Guides, News, & D

Hello to everybody.
Dear friends I post this to guide (only unlocked bootloader rooted phones) you through the steps that I used to succesfully recover my Xiaomi M9T
from a hard brick (by that time only edl mode was available).
Since Xiaomi has decided to lock down their Mi flash tool, and only special authorized accounts have an access to their utility tool.
was almost impossible (by yourself) to recover your phone from a hard brick situation.
I found a way arround to xiaomi tool with a 100% succesfull 1st atempt with my own phone it worked flawlessly.
Forget the point to point jumbers with a required open phone procedure.
Forget the authorized account holders with a teamviewer use of your computer and a fee for their services (logical).
Forget returning back your phone to any authorized repair center for a revival for what ever cost.
Below you will find al the steps one by one.
First thing you need is to install: minimal_adb_fastboot_v1.4.3_setup. https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2317790.
Run it and put "Y" and hit enter all the way through.
Second you need to install: TOOL_ALL_IN_ONE_2.0.1.1. https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/software/tool-tool-one-driversunlocktwrpfactory-t3358711

}
Press tab advance options.
under the advance options window press first the tab Set ADB and fastboot privileges system wide.
It will asc you for confirmation press the tab again with the same Set ADB and fastboot privileges system wide.
Then press the tab Open a free terminal with ADB and fastboot privileges.
and type in the terminal the cmd fastboot oem edl,
It will say ADB boot oem edl OK. (unforunatelly I have no screen print from this one).
You will know at once because your phone goes from fastboot (bunny) screen to black screen and enters edl mode, is normal do not be alarmed.
In your computer you will see now under setting> devices> Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008. That is a good thing you are now in edl mode.
From there go back to already running all in one tool.
Press the tab Flash Factory images, you will go to the respective screen (below).
Select Flash all, and press the download factory image china.
Immediately will redirect you by a pop up window to the chinese site of the MIUI.
Scroll down and you will come across the Redmi K20 rom, downloaded and save it to your desktop.
Once is done decompress twice from tgz. file, to tar. file, to ready to flash rom file.
Now come back to all in one tool, and select the rom from the browsing tab, go to the desktop folder where you have previously download the roam and select the ready to flash (unzipep file) once is loaded hit flash Rom and seat back.
The ADB terminal will start the flashing procedure you will know from the very beggining if everything is normal,
Because the terminal shows the file is being prossesed and the time for each action with a followed OK
During the procedure it will break up between two or three stages of the flashing, momentarily again do not be alarmed.
If everything goes well the operation will finish with a gorgeous redmi bootup logo.
(once again I apologize no screen shot taken in advance for this step)
It will finally bootup to system, allthough it might not, But one more time do not be worried, officially you have succeded reviving your hard bricked phone.
From there if is not completing bootup simply press volume up+power botton and you have the official recovery, (in chinese of course) but you can easily
find an image with the english tab designation, hit wipe data, and reboot again, voila there you are back in bussiness.
All the gredits go to the developers of the above used tools, since I just was lucky enough to find the way through.
Good luck to all Mi9T/K20 xiaomi owners with your phone revival process.
Best regards to all of you.
P.S.
Forgive my English for any syntax or grammar errors.
I wish I had more time to spend for a more comprehensive guide.

Hi there I have not tried since I have only Mi 9T.
But yes, I am sure pretty much is the same think, instead of downloading the K20 rom, simply download the K20 pro one,
I wish you a good revival.

wow, this is too good to be true ? hope it will works for ppl who have brick. thanks

Awesome news, THX

Thank you for providing us an alternative way of reviving hard bricked devices. I hope this also fix similar problems but with a locked bootloader.

btw can i just unlock bootloader easily from this tool?

@Fantomduck Wait wait, i missread in your post "(only for unlocked bootloader)" So this is tutorial for those who have already unlocked bootloader to unbrick device or what? im confused now... bcs if we have unlocked bootloader there is no point to do this steps u described then, we can simply flash any stock rom on unlocked bl and unbrick drvice.

Yeah from what I understand, it basically flash the rom via EDL mode, but for unlocked bootloader. But why bother with EDL when the bootloader already unlocked? Also, I thought we can only flash ROM via EDL with authenticated tokens?
If this app can flash rom via EDL without special authentication, it should works for both unlocked and locked bootloader, though it might be different for Mi 9T Pro.
Very interesting nevertheless.

Hello again,
Just a clarification regarding, "I tried one more ultimate time, and boom success".
I ment tried one more time, by using alternative ways such the one that I post .
Not the Mi flash tool.

Well I guess thanks for taking the time to write this guide, however it's not applicable to hard bricked phones, and all the AIO tool does is use fastboot commands, that's the reason it requires fastboot access with unlocked bootloader.
Hard brick means :
- No fastboot at all. No way to boot to it on the phone. Plain black screen and nothing else.
- Stuck in fastboot with bootloader LOCKED and wrong ROM installed ("system has been destroyed"/"this MIUI can't be installed on your device")
Unfortunately for hard brick cases your only option will still require an authorized EDL account (and short the test pins for the 1st case) and only by using Mi Flash Tool.
Hi, yes I flased my phone via EDL Mode since I had no other option, (hard brick) the system was erased by a terrible mistake and the phone was only opening to fastboot mode, no matter what. And if you have hard bricked device you can not flash it in fast boot mode simply because your computer can not see the phone.

If your phone can boot to fastboot and the bootloader is unlocked then it's not hard bricked and can be recovered simply with fastboot commands. If you couldn't see the phone on the computer it was probably because of missing drivers or possibly fastboot/adb not running with admin rights, which I guess the AIO tool seems to fix with the "set ADB and fastboot privileges in system wide" option...

Yeah I thought so, as that app is basically a GUI version of fastboot and adb command. But I appreciate the effort to help people in here to recover their phones.

Dear ShiningScias.
Hello, well I guess then, I was on the shoft bricked side?
Thank you for making that clear to me, I then have to apologize, to everybody that I have mislead, with an assumption that was not the correct one.
I misunderstood what the hard brick is, I think probably i had jumped to that conclusion because when I was searching for rooting my phone I came across with so many tutorials and advices not to make any mistake while shifting between roms with ARB or else the outcome will be a hard brick.
Best regards.

And if you have hard bricked device you can not flash it in fast boot mode simply because your computer can not see the phone.
Thus not adb debuging authorization to comunication with the device for reflashing. So only EDL Mode that qualcom put in place for such an awkward situation
At that time the only tools and knoledge I had regarding my newly purchased phone Mi9T was:
A) Flashing through Mi flash tool (which is locked for everyone to use without special account) I found it out afterward.
B) the all in one tool, that I found when I was looking for help in xda forums, which is for unlocked phones, as it states in the main window.
Said that before, I started looking for how to flash it in edl mode.
Nobody new then (a week ago) how to revive, bring back to "life" their phones( Mi9/K20 and Pro variants).
The general idea that was floating around regarding hard bricked devices.
Was the option of having a person with authorized account for flashing, to enter to your computer, and flash it for you,
( after opening the back cover and disconnect the battery, while make jumper between the the special points on the PCB).
To return the phone back to have it repaired, Xiaomi's suggestion.
I tried many times the mi flash tool, even when I was logging in, my xiaomi account said "this computer is bound to your account you can start now", but with no luck.
So Before I take my phone and bring it to a service center, for flashing for 55 euro.
I tried one more ultimate time, and boom success.
From what I know locked phones, can not be hard bricked since the system will not let you roll back, or flash not original xiaomi rom.
I posted the way arround to the Mi flash tool, that I came accross by trying to flash a bricked device , for everybody to overcome the authorization problem.
I am not a developer nor an expert regarding android programming, I just have little experience from previous devices that I messed arround by trial and error.

You haved probably problem with fastboot drivers for your phone. Bcs this tool u used to boot EDL mode is also using fastboot first to boot in EDL so how u boot EDL if u told before that your phone can't be recognised by fastboot on your pc ?
I guarantee u can easily unbrick device with unlocked bootloader using only miflash or using fastboot command on adb. So there is no point to do all steps in description.

Wait. If i will unlock bootloader, and for some reason it will fail and brick, it will be bricked on locked bootloader or unlocked?

Is this method works with a GLOBAL image flash to a chinesse K20?

MEG7 bootloop after OTA update (locked bootloader) Help

Hy everyone, I am in this situation since last Friday. Read and tried many guides and tutorials without luck. Here is my situation:
- I have the MEG7 version, I'm in south america. I don't know which version of MIUI I had before the brick (maybe a global fake one?), the phone was working excellent. Friday appears an OTA update of 225 mb, download and executed. After that the phone stucks in a bootloop, just the MI logo, powered by android appears a second and restart.
- Read guides and forums, then I did the test point according to knowhows.net/fix-xiaomi-redmi-5-plus-fake-rom-boot-loop on a 64 bit win10 laptop. The pc recognized the COM qualcomm port, I used the latest miflash 7.4.25.
flashed success stable cn rom but accidentally chose the "flash all and lock" option -> bootloop remains
flashed success dev cn rom -> bootloop remains
flashed success stable global rom -> bootloop remains
flashed success dev global rom -> bootloop remains :crying:
Tried other tools I read in miui forums, like XiaoMiTool, downloaded both china roms (global were not available, maybe due the mi site update?), the bootloop remains.
Keep reading, tried with the beta version of miflash, the proccess was endless, not luck.
Tried with and old miflash version 2016.08.30, the proccess end successfully but bootloop remains.
At this point didn't know what to do, tried to flash with miflash but with the device in fastboot mode, a "flash modem error" appears just 3 second after the start. Perhaps this error can give some clues of the real problem? :crying:
Now I'm starting to get frustrated. Could be the pc? I just have my laptop. If nothing works will borrow a win 7 32 bit pc. I used two usb cables to try luck, no luck. But, which is the correct rom to flash? the global or the china stable? I read can't flash dev roms with locked bootloader.
I tried almost everything, will preciate your kind help.

I guess that the successive flashings after relock bootloader were not really sucessfull.
When you using method point what you did after that? tried with miflash tool or miphone flash tool? so miflash tool don´t work in edl (download) mode, it is for fastboot mode.
Try enter to recovery with pwr + vol up and when appears logo mibunny release pwr button and do a format data and see what happens
MEG7 with locked bootloader needs global rom, not China one, stable or dev doesn't matter.
unlock your bootloader. altough your phone is bootloped. my situations is 100% same as yours. i spent lot of roms also. untill i try unlock (bootlooped phone) but succes. try it bro i hope succes. after succes you can flash into EDL mode and the phone booting normally.

Yes. I read one guide about that After to understand it, I flashed two global stable roms
- vince_global_images_V9.5.11.0.NEGMIFA_20180521.0000.00_7.1_global
- vince_global_images_V9.2.6.0.NEGMIEK_20180122.0000.00_7.1_global
I did the proccess succesfully, at least the miflash shows that.
But after the reboot, the device stops in "powered by android" and reboot again

First of all try to unlock bootloader, follow this tutorial and download Xiaomi Unlock tool from here: https://www.xiaomigeek.com/download-mi-flash-unlock-tool.html I´m not sure if this works if you didn´t linked before a miaccount onto your device and didn´t enable USB debugging and OEM unlock before.
MiFlash tool from here https://www.xiaomigeek.com/download-xiaomi-mi-flash-tool.html works in fastboot mode.
MiPhone flash tool from here http://chinagadgetsreviews.blogspot.com/2015/11/download-miphone-tools-for-flashing.html works in edl/download mode.
If you can´t unlock bootloader then you can try with MiPhone flash tool, to get in edl mode you have to first of all download and install the drivers for this method from here https://www.androidgyd.com/qualcomm-hs-usb-qdloader-9008-driver.html and open device manager from pc so your device has to be detected like qualcomm HS-USB qdloader 9008 and there are three methods as far I know to enter in download mode although one or more couldn´t eventually work:
- Pressing the three buttons at same time to connect to pc you have to get a short vibration then release inmediately.
- Second method trying to avoid to open backcover of device, search or made by your own a "cable edl" it´s not so difficult to do it (just youtube)
- Test point method is the last resort.
MiPhone flash tool works both unlocked or locked devices.

- When I did the test point the pc recognized the device in the COM ports, as a qualcomm hs-usb 9008, as I know, when this happens the phone is in EDL mode right?
- I have tried to unlock BL with the official tool too, but couldn't because of the device was not binded to my account. Anyway I have found this thread http://en.miui.com/thread-246705-1-1.html with some info I didn't know, about kedacom driver and disconecting internet, don't know if will work but I will give a try.

After a few hours I tried the suggestions.
1.- Downloaded the MIFLASH UNLOCK tool from the mi web, tried to unlocl the BL, not success "account is not bound to device"
2.- Downloaded MIPHONE TOOL, I saw is similar to Miflash, but the last Miphone of the link is from 2014, nevertheless I tried with the device in EDL (with test point and the COM port), gave me this error:
"insufficient storage space to process this command :crying:
I observed that MiFlash works in EDL too, I mean, doing the test point recognize the device in the COM port too.
Also, I tried to flash a Global Rom with MiFlash but this time in fastboot, the device is recognized with many numbers. But I get this error:
At this point I really don't know what to do.
I guess I need to find a way to unlock the bootloader without bound account to the device.
Could this be useful? Before the brick, I added my Mi account in the device and I still can see it in Mi Cloud web:
Maybe I can contact xiaomi customer support and ask them to give me the permission to unlock the device.
I won't give up!

Here three things that you should try; other version of MiPhone tool, flash directly twrp, begin and wait the unlock process......
1- As far I know MiFlash tool doesn´t work in edl mode, just recognices device. Here you have a version from 2016 of MiPhone tool https://xiaomiflashtool.com/download/xiaomi-flash-tool-20160401 you have to set the path to your firmware folder next to "browser" box upper left there is an option to configure the files (prog_emmc_firehose_8953_ddr.mbn, patch0.xml, rawprogram0.xml) that are needed to flash the rom.
2 - Also, you can move all the rest of files and put only recovery (custom twrp) and after flash some custom rom from twrp, there are some threads explaining this process.
3 - To unlock bootloader you have to begin a process, put your sim onto other device and request to Xiaomi with this number and you should have to wait for the process, read carefully the thread specially the first steps https://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-note-5/how-to/how-to-how-to-unlock-redmi-5-plus-t3750250

Yes, the dev rom receive weekly updates.
Time of flashing
Does anyone know how much is the average time to flash with miflash or miphone? In my notebook, win10 64 bit, dual core takes 700 - 900 seconds. I see in other images that finishes in 100 - 200 sec.
I have same problem like you in my MEG7

Mi A3 weirdly stuck in fastboot mode, please someone help
I recently opened my mi A3's bootloader and then flashed twrp image as it was error or something, my phones got stuck on fastboot mode and after that I have to flash stock rom v11.0.11.0 through mi flash tool and I successfully worked but then I installed magisk and flashed boot image to obtain boot image and that too successful worked but guess what real problem starts here, after the other day I restarted my device and android one logo showed up and then it got stuck on fastboot mode, then I have to again flash the same rom and again patched boot image file to get my phone back working and it went well for 2-3 days but suddenly, yesterday magisk notified that "DTFO is patched, tap to reboot" and I ignored and after that after few hours my phone automatically got restart and stuck on fastboot again and now when I try to flash the same rom again, it takes more than 3500s in mi flash tool and still not showing success, currently stuck on fastboot, no flash tool is working, can someone help please??

Question Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 (sunny) EDL No Auth / file Firehouse

Hello everyone. Comrades, please help. I do not know what to do anymore, I accidentally reset all the phone settings to zero, and now I can not unlock the phone, because the connection stopped working (the modem firmware has flown off), the bootloader is locked, through Mi Flash I do not want to authorize at all, I tried resetting the password, not nothing helped. For almost a month I have been fighting and not how I can not flash the phone (restore).
Dear comrades, please help, if anyone has Firehouse files, with the ability to bypass authorization in Mi Flash, please share. It's a pity to lose your phone.
EDL mode is difficult to start, you can't normally get into it. MiFlashtool works in both fastboot mode and EDL mode. If you normally use MiFlashtool, it's just a simple fastboot.
EDL mode can be triggered using test points accessible from inside the phone, located on the motherboard. For some devices it was also possible to use a USB cable. Which test points to use, or whether the EDL cable for the RN10 also works, I don't know yet.
However, EDL mode is definitely still an option before throwing your phone away.
you can try it if it serves you excellent but let me know
unzip it

A General System Image does not touch any of the Drivers or the Kernel since its an System Image non related to this Things. So it's the same as on Stock... (Except You would flash AOSP Vendors and Kernels as Base)
After i got a Xperia 1 III gifted by a Supporter i have checked how actual Android work. I have updated the Guides and fixed the issues for everyone hopefully... Enjoy!
Hi there I am coming from another phone where I was flashing AIO images for my updates. How does updating work with an Xperia Pro I once it has been rooted?
Also I am getting a 'no' on the bootloader unlock. What options do I have?

Introducing this GuideHello there and welcome to My Guide for Your Xperia Smartphone. This Guide will walk with You thru the whole Process of installing Drivers, getting an unlock Key for Your Bootloader, rooting with Magisk and even flashing GSI Custom ROMs up to re-locking Your Bootloader and re-flashing Stock for the total Factory Reset. This Thread/Guide is not meant as Wiki n'or will it teach You about Android at all. Inform Yourself using Google to enjoy the total Freedom and Customization of Android... If You can't solve Problems Yourself, by communicating and research, don't touch Your Bootloader!
IMPORTANT:
2020+ Xperias are using fastbootd, and equivalent to fastboot which runs in Userspace (Same as Recoveries).
You can access Your Recovery on Your Xperia by holding VolumeDown (-) & the Powerbutton (Your Device needs to be turned off before ofc). Release the Powerbutton after the Display turned on and hold VolumeDown (-) until You see the Recovery Screen. From there, You can enter fastbootd and fastboot. Labled as "Fastboot" for fastbootd and "Bootloader" which is the old fastboot. You can flash Kernels, Recoveries and other stuff from fastboot. Everything else like System Images (GSIs for example), Product Images, System_ext Images and any Userspace stuff has to be flashed from fastbootd. 2019 Xperias are still using fastboot only...
Fastboot and Fastbootd has nothing to do with SONYs Flashmode on Xperias!

Requirements
Installing Drivers
Firmware Flashing
Bootloader Unlocking & Magisk Root
GSI ROM flashing with Fastboot (Optional)
Bootloader Re-Locking (TheWayBack)

Note: Since You are going to unlock Your Bootloader, You may surely want to get Root. So let's start with Magisk or it will take more Time afterwards...
Download UnSin from the link above and extract it somewhere
Download the "Platform Tools" from Google and extract it to the root of Your main Windows Drive
Download and install the Magisk Manager on Your Android Device
Extract the File boot_********.sin (60MB+ File) with the Unsin Exe (Drag and drop the Image on the Exe)

fastboot reboot
Wait for Your Device to Wipe and Start. Once in the Android System, turn Your Device off without USB Connected
Press and hold now the VolumeUp (+) Button while connecting to USB to enable the fastboot Mode
Continue with flashing the Images for Root (Step by Step):
Code:
fastboot flash boot_a magisk_patched.img
fastboot flash boot_b magisk_patched.img
Wipe and Reboot:
Code:
fastboot -w
fastboot reboot
Note: Your are unlocked and rooted now! Enjoy Your Unleashed Device
5. GSI flashing with Fastboot:
Note: GSI ROMs can be found around the Web. Like here...
Treble-Enabled Device Development A/AB ROMS
Treble-Enabled Device Development A/AB ROMS
forum.xda-developers.com
Not all GSIs require the vbmeta change. You can use all GSIs that are made for ARM64 + A/B Devices. Play around. Systems can't damage Your Device since You keep the Stock Vendor & Kernel! You can use any Android Version! Don't forget to make backups if needed. You are going to Format Your Device!
Download a GSI Zip from Google
Extract the system.img and the vbmeta.img to Your Platform-Tools
Connect Your Device in Fastboot Mode and use Fastboot with:
(On 2020+ Xperias run: "fastboot reboot fastboot" first after You booted into fastboot)
Code:
fastboot flash system_a system.img
fastboot flash system_b system.img
[Optional] fastboot --disable-verity --disable-verification flash vbmeta_a vbmeta.img
[Optional] fastboot --disable-verity --disable-verification flash vbmeta_b vbmeta.img
fastboot -w (This does Format Your Device and is needed everytime You change the GSI!)
fastboot reboot
6. Bootloader Re-Lock:
Flash the latest Firmware for Your Device with EMMA
Erase all Userdata before You continue (like with fastboot -w or via Recovery)
Just go into Fastboot mode and type in the command prompt (like before in this Guide):
Code:
fastboot oem lock
Wait for Your Device and disconnect it from USB
Done... Continue with Step 7.
7. Firmware Restoring after Re-Locking:
Download and Install the "Xperia Companion" from SONY
Open the Xperia Companion and select Software Repair
Select that Your Device can't get recognized (or is a Smartwatch 3 lol)
Go to the next Page and select the Xperia Smartphone Option
Continue and wait for the Initialization
Press and hold Volume DOWN while connecting to USB (You will see the Green Flashmode LED again)
Continue once Your Device gets recognized and let the Xperia Companion do his work...
Done. Your Bootloader is locked again and almost all of Your DRMs are restored.
That helped? Leave a Thanks! <3
Donations are actually also really welcome!

Thanks for this information. I was just wondering if you know of anyone who has actually opened the bootloader on a Pro-I. When I go to the Sony website provided in your guide and tap Service info > Configuration > Rooting, Status, it returns "no" and that's as far as I get. Any suggestion will be appreciated.
When I do adb reboot bootloader I get no prompts but get thrown to fastboot (a black screen and blue LED).
After that any interaction will not work - after some digging it seems that my drivers work for ADB but not for fastboot. Device manager shows a device "other > android" which apparently means that the fastboot drivers are not working. I have tried disabling driver signatures and then installing them again with the phone connected in fastboot mode but that didin't help - am I trying to install the right drivers? I got the OEM drivers from Sony, a 2019 driver which installs from "sa0200adb.inf" that I got from https://developer.sony.com/file/download/xperia-pro-i-driver/
Kind of stuck here, but I've managed to solve a few roadblocks already so maybe I'll crack this one too, later...
Any help will be appreciated. ^^
(edit - figured out some basic stuff I got wrong, did more research and updated my issue acccordingly)

I have succesfully unlocked and installed magisk root on my Pro-I. Should work unless you have some weird version or haven't updated to latest firmware?
Try entering *#*#7378423*#*# in the dialer and it should state whether bootloader unlocking is allowed (and if it is currently unlocked).

Nothing weird - just a regular US model XQ-BE62. This is great news! You are the only person I have heard of that has rooted this phone. I may have mentioned this, but I am not into custom mods just for fun. In fact I'm kind of nervous about rooting, but I am beta testing an experimental app made for filming RAW video. Some other brands of phone are working, but the Pro-I throws a lot of dropped frames and has some restrictions on filming speed that I know the phone can handle. The devs say the issue is caused by Sony's restrictions on third party video apps and the Pro-I should function properly if rooted. Magisk appeals to me because (I think) I can unroot if I want to. I'll follow in your footsteps and see if I can do it.
Thanks very much.

I have a UK/EU model so we do have a difference, however it went easily for me except for own stupidity in fastboot driver installation.
I haven't done much yet beside root with magisk and purge facebook and google off my phone, but plan on playing some more in the future.

by the way I'm a total noob so don't trust me blindly xD
One other thing that came to mind was that wipe from fastboot fails at metadata partition due to lack of permissions, and you'll get a loopboot and be thrown to recovery and there you can do a factory wipe and it will succesfully wipe the rest. That's what happened to me anyway.

That's good to know. And I'm a noob too. I have rooted three phones over a period of time years ago and my heart was pounding the whole time. It is comforting to know that someone else has rooted this phone. As I said I am a beta tester for an experimental video app (MotionCam Pro - it's on the Play Store.). There's a small group of us who have the Pro-I and I have stupidly volunteered to try to root. One guy has already given up and returned his phone. I want to find out how this app can work with my phone. Filming in RAW (without dropped frames and lens errors) would be epic. I also DON'T WANT TO BRICK MY PHONE! Thanks for any help you can offer.
One question. I assume that Sony web site that tells me my phone can't be rooted is irrelevant if I have a working bootloader code, right?

yeah it's scary, especially with low volume devices.
I'll have to look into that app, I'm a hobbyist photographer (surprise, given my choice of phone...)
I am a bit confused what page says your can't root a Sony pro-I, but their website will give you an unlock code with an imei of a pro-I and it sure worked for me...
You checked your service menu and your phone stated itself that the bootloader can be unlocked, right?
Also if you can't tick the oem unlocking toggle in dev options after updating firmware but not doing anything else yet, your device might need a factory reset.
I assume you've also backed up all your data and settings etc, you'll be wiping your phone while rooting.

[GUIDE] How to unbrick Redmi 9C (or any other xiaomi device) (soft brick)

THIS GUIDE DOES NOT APPLY TO THE HARD BRICK, WHERE FASTBOOT DOES NOT WORK!!!
1) Download MI Flash: https://xiaomiflashtool.com/ (i downloaded mine from here.)
2) Download phone's original firmware. https://xiaomifirmwareupdater.com/miui/ (search the phone and select rom depending on your country.)
Remember to download the fastboot firmware.
3) Extract firmware to a folder, like this:
{

}
I used 7-zip.
4) Open MI Flash and let it install all the drivers needed.
5) Reboot your phone into fastboot mode (hold power key + vol down key) and plug it into your computer.
6) In MI Flash select the folder when you extracted the firmware.
7) Click refresh and make sure the program detects your phone.
8) Down the window, select clean all (otherwise it will lock the bootloader)
9) Click Flash.
Done.
NOTE: if the program displays an error "error: no command fastboot lock /s" don't worry about it. The system will work anyways.
NOTE: recovery gets replaced by the stock one
NOTE: you can just use the flash_all.bat file to flash it, but i recomend using the program. The .bat file also did not work for me.

Is the bootloader unlocked?

No. the Boot Loader is Locked.
There's no explanation about that in the 1st Post nor in other previous posts (that if the Boot Loader is locked then anybody doing this guide as it is being told, will surely find those error like me (Critical partition flashing not allowed),
so no wonder I get that error.
But then,... (before I tried this guide), it was because, after I did Factory Reset and Wipe Data) my phone was stucked on "MiUI 11 Logo' (on white background -where I can change Language and font size, but no further from that), (that's why then I tried this guide),,.. so (my point is) there's no way I can Unlock the Boot Loader first.
So, then, I try a step I watched on YouTube.
I put off the phone's back case, disconnected the battery, and so on and so on just like the video told, (EDL Flashing).
Success. (at least that was what the MiFlash Tools app told me on my PC screen)...
Put on everything back, try to turn on my phone.. but now it is doing boot loop... (and worse,.. now the boot loop is on MiUI logo with black background, even before where it was at the 1st time)
Can somebody help me?
If you can enter fastboot mode, use fastboot oem device-info to check the status.

First of all, thanks for your kindness to help me.
and, Yes I often edit my post, because my English is not good and I did many mistyping. (sorry).
I edit it to make it better and clearer (for anybody who'd like to help me, like you.. Thanks again in advance).
----------
*I cannot enter Fastboot now, because it seems there's other problem, that is, I ruin the plastic power & volumes buttons (maybe when I took off the back case) somehow, they don't work now.
*I didn't and haven't try that Xiaomi Official UnlockTool, because like I said in my previous post, I didn't know that to do the guide in the 1st post in this thread, my phone has to be in UBL condition first. And I was in condition where I couldn't enter my phone (to login to Xiaomi ID on my phone, for example).

The problem in the OP is that it is not specified that the bootloader must be unlocked to use MIFLASH.
