This thread is intended for Q/A, discussion and beta testing to keep the main CyanogenMod 13.0 thread clean.
Finally <3! Will try it after work.
Some questions (based on previous CM bugs):
1. Does LTE work on SIM 1?
2. Notification light has all colors?
3. Does it support double tap to wake or planned in the future? I think that could be enabled via terminal, so a script or a tutorial in the main thread would be nice.
4. Any idea how to enable fingerprint? I have the pro version, and the ability to unlock without pressing a button really saves... the power button.
Edit: 5. Is light sensor having any issues? It's pretty brutal on MIUI too, but some other ROM has issues with it getting stuck at NULL or something.
This could be used as a bug checklist for you, I'm pointing out issues with other ROMs so that you may be able to find issues faster.
I have Redmi 3 pro. Since OP's cm13 doesn't support fingerprint scanner yet, I'm hoping that will get fixed after some time. I'm I right in thinking this or is there some complications which I'm not aware of and which makes this a wishful thinking.
I love that OnePlus gives us the option to use either gesture or three-button navigation. But I wish we had two-button navigation too! It's the best of both worlds! The good news is that it's super easy to enable Two Button Navigation with a super quick and easy ADB command. You will need USB Debugging enabled on your phone and ADB installed on your computer.
ADB Command: adb shell cmd overlay enable com.android.internal.systemui.navbar.twobutton
Check out the video here to see it in action.
If you are on Android 11, the first method will not work. Please watch this video for instructions on how to get Two Button Navigation working on Android 11 (root required):
Would you happen to know how to get the original OnePlus gestures back to? Just figured I'd ask. Thanks.

I'm not sure which ones you're referring to. If you can give me an example, I might be able to figure something out though!

they were the OnePlus gestures found on the OnePlus 6t that's what I came from and the back was a swipe up from the bottom corner of the left or the right side and then swipe up home was straight up from the center and then recents was swipe up and hold and then you can also jump to your last app that you opened by swiping up and to the right.

So it took me a few minutes to refresh my memory but I figured out what you're looking for! Good news is that I have the answer, bad news is that it's not what you're looking for.
When Google rolled out Android 10 they basically gave OEM's requirements on how the navigation bar had to work. The old implementation you're looking for is OnePlus's take on gesture navigation and Google basically says don't do it. So when they rolled out the OnePlus 7, they got rid of that option.
There might still be a way to enable it, but I haven't found anything yet. If I do, I'll be sure to let you know!
Here's a really good write up that explains the change. https://www.xda-developers.com/google-gesture-navigation-android-10/

Yes should be nice...
On 6T Android10 , we have both options to choose, google implementation and this one from OnePlus, for gesture navigation..
I believe this app will provide you all the gestures you need, posted elsewhere on these forums.

I'm using fluid navigation control for now. Was just hoping to not have to use a app for gestures.

FWIW, Google doesn't force OEMs to get rid of their own gesture implementation - they just have to hide it behind one extra Settings layer. For example, on the OPPO Find X2 Pro running ColorOS 7.1, you can still enable the swipe-up gestures (the same one from older versions of OxygenOS) as well as Google's full-screen gestures.

I wish it was a bug! Unfortunately, it's 100% by design. With Android 10, Google basically retired any navigation options that weren't their gesture or three-button options. Manufacturers can still include their own options but they have to do it in a submenu and can't use the Google framework files for it. They basically have to repack a bunch of files to get their stuff in the right spot on the menus, to get the overlay to work correctly, and then they have to still push the Google options as the default. It's just not cost-effective for OnePlus (or any manufacturer other than maybe Samsung) to use another option now. This method worked because OnePlus already had the work done on the framework, they just didn't update the menu to show their navigation options. With Android 11, there was enough of a rebase going on that they didn't go through the effort of adding it back in. But hey, this is XDA. I'm sure we'll see some mods in the future that will bring it back though!
Hey guys,
I was really disappointed to see that the Oppo Find X2 Pro or specifically ColorOS doesn't include lockdown mode, if anyone is unsure of what this is, I'll give a brief explanation:
Lockdown mode comes in as a worst-case option that lets you disable face unlock, fingerprint-based unlock, as well as any smart unlock options you might have set up. It goes a step further and even blocks lock screen notifications so that any private conversations remain just that: private.
If you'd like to read more about it here's a link below:
https://www.androidpolice.com/2018/...nt-unlocking-something-called-extended-access
This feature was included way back with Android 9 Pie & to see it not even on ColorOS 7.1 or the Android 11 Beta (so far) is really disappointing.
So, what's the point of this thread?, Well not only to bring attention to the matter but also to request it to be brought to ColorOS, I noticed a tweet from ColorOS on Twitter linked below where we can request it
https://twitter.com/colorosglobal/status/1270926598590664704?s=19
Even if this feature isn't something you personally want, I'd really appreciate it if everyone could bring attention to this or try get the attention of Oppo or the ColorOS team to have this added or even post on the ColorOS community forums as it's a great security feature of Android.
Thanks.
[TL;DR - ColorOS is missing a Android security feature called Lockdown mode, please request this across social channels or on the ColorOS community forums for it to be added]

No, please take time to read, Lockdown Mode is a security feature that when enabled locks the device and disables fingerprint sensor, face unlock and smart unlock, and requires password to open the device
UPDATE:- Here is the link to request the feature to the ColorOS team, if you could take a few minutes out your day to fill this in please do, even if you don't personally want/need it, you'll be helping to contribute to users that do
https://community.coloros.com/thread-42556-1-1.html
Just got my new OnePlus Nord 2 and because of the imminent Color OS and Oxygen OS merge, I can't enable lockdown mode either! It was always an option in previous Oxygen OS releases but I think this feature will be removed and forgotten by the devs because of the merge...
How to remove navigation bar (three button) in Android 11. NOTE: Root is required to use this method!
Hi guys! Please either move or remove this thread if it's either in the wrong place or covered by another thread. This thread is intended to walk through removing the three-button navigation bar in Android 11 since the traditional way ('wm overscan') doesn't work anymore.
This is useful for if you want to use an alternative gesture system, such as Fluid Navigation Gestures (FNG). Before you get started with the below, be sure you have enabled the replacement system first. FNG's built in navbar disabler doesn't work on Android 11, so you don't need to have this switched on.
Assuming you have root already (there should be plenty of tutorials available to help you out on this), all you really need to do is download Substratum Lite and nonavbar.apk (available at: https://1drv.ms/u/s!AsqLR2yZd3fMiaV4fcCSAw7trgl8AQ?e=e9ncai). Choose to install nonavbar.apk, then it should show up as a theme in 'lite'. After pressing the NoNavBar theme, you should see 'Android System (android [11])' to the left of a checkbox. After checking this box, press the '1 SELECTED' button on the bottom right. Then, press 'Install selected', restart, and get back to this screen to finally 'Enable selected'.
See for screenshots: https://photos.app.goo.gl/HL48xhsZMPMkmcdV7
And at that, you should have your replacement gestures as your primary input now! Enjoy!
I'm by no means an expert, so my ability to help with questions is limited. Hope this helps!
Works perfectly on OP8 Pro with latest Android 11 update. Thanks a lot.
I would appreciate if there is the way to completely
hide status bar in android 11 with "no display cutout magisk module".
Been searching this for awhile now. Thanks for the solution, works great
Amazing! Thanks so much for looking into this, was very torn away when I couldn't disable nav bars given I used immersion mode with FNG on Android 10. Tried this on android 11 and it worked. Actually for Galaxy OneUI devices I don't need to be rooted.
You can just use the substratum lite and install synergy - OneUI compiler app. It will apply the modifications on a built in OneUI theme.
Question; how did you find or created that nonavapp.apk?
Since android 11 came out and google pulled that overscan crap, I have been scouring the net for a solution to use FNG. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
As the creator of the Fullscreen/Immersive gestures module, I'll just say, thanks for offering users the ability to use their favorite alternative navigation methods on Android 11
It's really unfortunate that people have to be either forced to use Android's standard navigation gestures (which quite a few people dislike) or an impossible to be hidden 3 button navbar (due to the removal of Overscan)
Keep up the good work
On Pixel 5, after enabling NoNavBar, there's a delay when switching between camera modes. It goes from 1 sec without it enabled to almost 5 second after enabling it
Works perfectly fine on my 7T Pro running OOS Beta 1! Thanks!
Works on great on mi A3! Thanks a lot!
Works great, but, could you possibly build it for the "normal" substratum?
Thanks a lot
Excellent work!
I was looking for a solution to this problem with FNG.
Now, If I can say something about this, in my case, the Home Gesture (Swipe Up) dindt work. I reboot the phone and nothing happened. After some minutes, I decided to try this:
Configuration > Adittional Settings > Full Screen Display > Activate the option "Full Screen Gestures".
This way, I could to use the Swipe Up gesture.
To finish, I would like to know what to do to undo all this configuration when I decide not use FNG anymore. I'd really appreciate it.
NOTE: I have a xiaomi phone (MI 9).
Substratum lite is free, but it requires another app called synergy (it's just $2, but it's annoying to have to pay for it). haha
Either way, this tutorial worked very well for my galaxy s10+, so that I could use FNG instead of the new navigation bar from android 11 (the new navigation bar is pretty good actually, but it's annoying as hell that it didn't let me disable the Google Assistant shortcut that is activated by holding the mid button). Thank you for this solution!
Thanks for this apk. I used to use XDA navigation gestures a lot on A10. Which I really miss a lot on Note 20 OneUi 3.1. so question is can I use this on a non rooted OneUi 3 with synergy and substratum lite?

Thank you so much @Veiran for sharing with us, it has been many months that a lot of us were searching for the solution. I didn't know that this was posted back then in Nov 2020, but I am glad to find it today!

Hi everyone,
Can someone tell me how I can remove the bottom navigation bar using root? Seems like everything I find is geared towards "without root" but nothing that says how to do it with root.
Thanks.

Thanks, I'm just getting reacquainted with the forums again. It's been a while since I've been active and a ton of stuff has changed.
All you have to do is :
Install Magisk Hide Props Config
su (gain root access)
props (open the hideprops menu)
5 (Add/edit prop values)
n (New custom prop)
qemu.hw.mainkeys (the build prop for whether to include softkey navbar)
1 (sets the build prop to disable the softkey navbar)
y (yes to continue with defaults)
y (yes to reboot)
It works on stock and even on custom ROMS.
No more Navbar and you can use fluid or vivid

For new visitors to this post, it looks like the stock firmware now supports this, to some degree.
Do you guys have a screenshot of what of the result of removing navigation bar? Thanks
