Amazfit GTR 47mm smart AOD issue - Amazfit

Hi,
My Amazfit GTR 47mm is fully updated with latest app ver 3.6.2 and watch firmware is 1.3.5.37. this version supports Always on display with Smart feature. In smart feature the AOD should turn off automatically after a while when watch is removed or when sleeping, but this is not happening. Can any one help how to make this work.

Having exactly the same issue. AOD doesnt turn off when i am sleeping or the watch is of my wrist.

Probably worth reporting the issue via the Amazfit app.

I figured it out. If automatic heart rate detection is turned on then the watch never goes to sleep. Try turn off heart rate detection after that it will go to sleep as expected. Hope this helps.

I tried to disable the continuous heart rate monitor, but the issue remains.
I described the issue through amazfit app, and sent it to them, hope to hear soon from them.

So, to all who is still watching this thread, i have an official update from amazfit gtr support.
Bottom line:
global version GTR does not equip with capacitive sensor, so it does not support off-wrist detect function.
I went through a few iterations with their support on my ticket, including sending them logs and what not.
They ended up sending me this message [1].
Which i dont entirely agree with, because they didnt mention why the AOD doesnt turn off when you fall asleep. I mentioned this again in my reply. But i doubt they will come up with any other reasonable explanation...
[1]:
Sorry that we made a mistake that we describe wrongly about the Smart Always-on function. Actually, global version GTR does not equip with capacitive sensor, so it does not support off-wrist detect function. When the watch detects you falling asleep, the Always-on function will be turned off. But putting it on the desk does not meet the conditions of "falling asleep", so the Always-on function will not be turned off.
We will modify the description about the Smart Always-on function in future firmware update. Sorry for all the troubles we caused.

Thanks for sharing this information. I never thought that the Chinese and global had hardware difference.
Apart from this the AOD is very weak in sunlight, my friend has a Huawei gt2 watch his AOD is very visible in sunlight.

Heart Monitor app & Sleep App

Hello All. I've been searching this and other forums for an answer for several hours now, and haven't found one yet. Any help is appreciated. Just got a Gear Fit, and have it linked to my Galaxy S5. S health, Gear Fit manager, and watch are all updated to latest versions.
1) Heart Rate Monitor. I used the HRM on my S5 while working out on occasion, but found it useless due to the need to turn it on to get a one time reading. Part of the reason I got the GF was to have the Heartrate monitor. Unfortunately, it operates like S-health does on the S5. I have to turn it on to get a reading. Is there a 3rd party app that I can use to consistently monitor my Heart Rate while working out (so I can just glance at my watch and see it). Even better, one that notifies you if your HR goes higher or lower than desired?
2) Sleep tracker - is there an App that will autodetect sleep with this watch? I constantly forget to turn the sleep mode off, and end up with much longer sleep segments than I actually have (i.e. I take the watch off when showering and getting ready in AM, don't put it on till I leave for work, and end up with 45min-1hr more of 'sleep' tracked.
Thanks much!
For part 1 of your question - There is an exercise mode on the samsung gear fit which constantly monitors your heart beat.
Not sure about the second part though I have the same problem - I wish it did like the phone does and identifies when I am awake based on my movement also it would be good if S-Health allowed me to modify sleep time after recording - not sure if it can now.

Amazfit Pace - GPS Altitude data missing

The last time I had Amazfit app register elevation data was the 13th of July. Since 15th every single run has no altitude data. I believe I got the last firmware update on the 13th or 14th.
Currently running 2.8.0.5
Has anyone else noticed this issue ? I have messaged them by means of app's contact us. Not sure if they address issues and how quickly.
Last Saturday I did a 102Km MTB route with 2200 elevation. After 25Km, elevation started to malfunction, not changing values more than 10 or 15 meters till the end of the route. On the next trip the day after, elevation was recorded correct. I'm also on 2.8.0.5 and never ocurred before updating.

there are many amazfit pace smartwatchs having battery isues because of the barometric sensor, probably the Xiaomi to avoid complaints turned off this sensor in this rom, it's just a theory[emoji16]

Altitude does't work anymore!
Same here... I get a flat altitude. It seems that get the altitude at the beginning and it never changes during the race. Hope Xiaomi cand fix this fast. :crying:
1. Restart watch;
2. Go to Compass widget, calibrate it if it tells you to do so, then tap on it to display GPS + barometer data: it will show four numeric fields, air pressure is in the bottom right;
3. If it doesn't display any value for air pressure or compass refuses to work at all, probably it's damaged and high chances it was due to water damage;
4. Blow some air in the hole (Pace has only one hole for mic+barometer, Stratos has two holes, so water drys faster), and see if pressure increases a bit;
5. If it doesn't change, probably the hole is blocked, clean it with a small needle (but don't push it too further), you can use a small amount of isopropyl if it looks very dirty;
6. Restart the watch before you start an activity, and check barometer as explained above then start recording, it should work fine.

The barometric pressure was static so I rebooted the watch and it began to work again. I will have to test it on the run to see if it works, but it looks promising. Thank you
Altitude still doesn't work

I restarted the watch before the activity, I calibrated the compass, I tapped on the compass and I could see the four numeric fields, latitude, longitude, altitude and air pressure, everything seemed to be fine. To be sure, I also blew air into the hole of the watch.
I chose the climb activity, the altitude was correct at the beginning, but during the activity the altitude value has always remained the same :crying:
Does anyone have the same problem as me?

Disable alerts in activity Settings, some may cause problems on WOS2...
Disabling alerts in the activity settings was the cause of the problem

Disabling alerts in the activity settings was the cause of the problem. In the climb activity settings, I disabled "HR alert" and "Auto lap alert" and the altitude value has changed during the activity. :good:
Thanks
will try all of this trick thanks
still did all of this fixes but not working , takes the right alltitude at the start of the activity but doesnt change during
Same issue here. Air pressuer, gps location and altitud are measured well but remains without any modification during the activity.
Had the same in the mountains during a trail with stratos2.... correct altitude at the beginning then frozen’...
Amazefit support : clean the hole..
Ok man but barometer was functioning so its not dust in the hole that cause the problem.. it s a firmware problem... barometers does not supply the GPS when signal lost...
wait next year for fenix6
This watch is not reliable as a fenix or suunto .. sometimes it works sometimes not..

Hi, I have this same problem where my amazfit pace doesn't record altitude. This started happening a few months ago after an update and I thought it was just my phone. I want to try your method but I can't seem to find this HR alert or Auto lap alert in my settings. Please advise! Much appreciated!!

Verge OS 3.2.0.7 incoming call warning

Hi,
yesterday i received my Amazfit Verge.
I could not test it completely before an upgrade to OS 3.2.0.7 (I was running 3.2.0.5) came in.
I tested this watch on 2 phones (samsung s9 plus and a Motorola G4 plus).
Before testing I did a reset of the watch.
Both show the same problem, when testing the warnings the incoming call warning does not work.
When a call comes in the warning also does not work on the watch, all other warnings work.
Is this a problem with the watch or is it a software glitch in 3.2.0.7 and how to solve this?
Do you have latest version of Amazfit app installed on phone with all permissions granted? If yes, try adding the phone/contacts/favorites to the notification settings in the app.

Interesting - I just checked it with my Verge on 3.2.0.7. The first time I tried, it took relatively long - about 10 secconds - before I received the notification on my watch. The seccond time it came right away.
Have you tried to let it ring a little longer?
I'm running on release 2.6.7
Phone/contacts/favorites are hidden by the smart filter, they should not get selected.
I selected them anyway but the result is exactly the same
I've been waiting for 20 seconds now and I still do not have a notification on the watch.
I have exact same problem. Notification works only when I enable BT call function on watches.
I have the same problem, incoming calls are not visible. Samsung Galaxy S8 Android 9.
same problem here with a Samsung S10.....anyone solved it???

Did you marked in Watch App, notification section call/phone? Do you getting all others notifications like message, calendar and ect.? In 3rd screenshot https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.huami.watch.hmwatchmanager you can see notification area. Here you must add all apps from yours phone from which you want to get notifications. If will not help, try reset factory settings of watch. For me working everything fine. Also, if in watch you will not see caller name, need to give permission of that (in smartphone). By the way i hope you understand that watch with smartphone must be connected via bluetooth?
P.S. I got 3 updates, now i got latest where was integrated Alexa (working in US only). With all software versions which i had and have working all notifications very well, included call. I guest you will not added it in Watch App notification section that. I have not Xiaomi brand smartphone too. Brand of smartphone havn't any effect in getting notifications I hope But maybe China manufactor don't like Samsung, so... you can chat with Amazfit support us.amazfit.com. But i'm really don't want to believe that this is true. Maybe something bad is with Samsung smartphones, cos this problem have a lot of people here
I had a Xiaomi Mi9 before and all worked very well!!
Now that i switched to a S10 with all the same settings that i had before, the notifications (whatsapp, telegram, gmail..ecc..) are perfect BUT if someone calls me the Verge vibrate for a second, the screen lights up and...stop!! no name, not even number calling.....when the call attempt ends it also notify me the missing call....!! I am pretty sure this problem is connected to samsung phones with pie but i really hope there is a way to fix it because i would hate to sell my Verge.....

yeah same preset answer they give to anyone.......

I think it's standard form of answer to costumer. So consultants doing just copy - paste process from base of information. I think company request to do that from theirs workers, so don't be suprised. By the way i got some too about battery, but it's better to get answer like this one if don't get it at all, i had some examples when i did not got answers at all or answers into my questions

Try to do factory reset of watch. I tried several times and after last reset i could hear caller when i answered to ring. But i need to check again that. By the way i did some reset of watch without restore of my data. So maybe this can help you.
No helps. I think it's problem new software for verge.
Still happens on my new Note 10 too, damn it! Coming from Note8 I havent experienced this before.

Can you turn off the Bluetooth on GTR?

Hi guys,
is possible to turn off the BT on GTR smartwatches? I mean turn off completely not just "night mode" or whatever it is called to not get notifications. I want to buy GTR, but I don't need to have synced my phone with GTR all the day, so BT on is useless for me. I can save a little bit of battery and probably healthier for me also without BT on. I think they added this function to Pace in some firmware update. I saw some with MTK2502 chipset too, but all of them are with poor battery life. Do you know other smartwatches where you can turn off BT?
Thank you.
There's a battery saver option that says it will only track steps & sleep if turned on. Not sure if it kills bluetooth.

Amazfit GTS app bad Deep Sleep calculation

The Zepp app is very poor at tracking deep sleep. Anyone with the same problem?
Notify & Fitness for GTS is tracking fine.
Two months ago,it tracked sleep normally, but now it doesn't.
Any help? I also reinstalled
See attached images
Yes, I also have the same problem with deep sleep tracking! I made a complete reset of the GTS but it doesn't work. The problem is still the same! I also noticed that since the Zepp update the heart rate is not so accurate as normal and also PAI isn't working. Very disappointing, the GTS was great but now I am thinking to switch to another brand.
