oh i didn't saw that. sorry just trying to help
Let me first start off by saying thank you for the replies already guys. The thing that's weird is when i access clockwork recovery it only shows 4 options..
Reboot
Delete cache
Delete/Wipe system
Restore option
There's no flash from zip option here. Any help would be greatly appreciated again i thank you =)
I'm very familiar with flashing/rooting so that's a plus =)

Does not look like clockworkmod recovery to me, sorry your friend might have been shafted, contact the seller.
Didn't think so either because i have seen clockwork before this recovery actually says like Samsung BML or something like that. Any recommendations? I told him that before but he said he really wants this phone lol stubborn people. I was able to get into that Downloading Mode thing but i really want to be careful and ask you experts first. I'm very familiar with the G1/Mytouch threads =) So i don't want to just start touching stuff and than paper weight =P

I am trying to revive my driod eris that I long forgot about.
Last I remember is that it had some bad boot blocks and I couldn't get a kernel img to fit into the good space that was left behind.
I was wondering if there was a way to format like you can do with the fascinate and odin?
Is there some way to get a kernel img into this or a way to remap the good and the bad?
thanks

I can only point you to the following threads and posts by bftb0:

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=824290

I think what you are looking for is the ErisMTDNuke.zip that bftb0 created in and for the above threads. Please read and digest all of the warnings and instructions very carefully to maximize the chance of recovering your Eris. You can't get any better information than that posted by bftb0, so just heed all of his cautions and instructions.
Good luck and let us know if you get it working!
Cheers!
Thanks for the info, it sure looks like a more sensable place to start other than google. As soon as I locate the data cable I will work on getting this thing working again.

In one of the threads I found this,
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=11651122&postcount=21
It fixes the MTD partition table.
After that I flashed a ROM to test and it booted right quick.
Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

You are most welcome! And you are clearly technical and savvy-enough to follow all of the crazy stuff that bftb0 puts out there, LOL (hope you threw a couple of thanks his way since he's "the man", eh?).
I didn't want to send you there directly since, as I'm sure you've read, there are a lot of other little things to try and do and/or check before resorting to the MDTNuke tool.
Cheers!
Well I did toss a few thanks about. I have been out of the Eris game for some time now but since it already wasn't working I figured that I couldn't make it work any less.
Learned a ton when I got my fascinate. Comparatively the fascinate is better though there isn't a whole lot as far as development goes at the moment.

Clockwork let's you format from recovery but doesn't fix a broken partition table. So, in short, Clockwork doesn't let you repartition the device.

How do you intend to write an img if the device won't go into download mode, recovery, or boot for that matter? Maybe look into returning your phone.

He doesn't need to boot into there to use a recovery sdcard. Me, @noobtoob, @msmercy42, and others (very sorry for those I forgot to mention, I have a very limited memory!!!) took tricks that the N900A guys got for a hard brick solution and came up with one for the N900T. Now, we're assuming this can be ported out to all other N900X variants but this still has yet to be tested. It involves grabbing about 200MB from mmcblk0 and writing it to an sd card. Not just copying it, but doing a raw write of the image file to an sdcard via the dd if command in either terminal emulator or a Linux OS environment.
If someone here has a N900P, I'd be glad to walk them through the process of creating a unbrick image for the OP. It copies over bootloader information to boot from the SD card, not the device. NO SENSITIVE EFS INFORMATION IS COPIED!!! This method has been done enough times to say that at least. .
OP: when you plug your device into your computer do you at least get a QCHSUSB port or the notification that a device has been recognized by Windows? If so, this method should work. If not, you may have a hardware fault.

You can make your own if you follow the link op posted in his instructions.
So...will SOMEONE post a working image? Lol. I don't have a N900P but I'd like to keep a running archive of unbrick images (in addition to space hogging firmwares) in my mediafire account to post links to. This way it'll keep the consistency of image size and contents; and most importantly people won't need to wait for it to be generated/uploaded.

I cannot upload the actual file because it is too big (52mb). I sent you a pm. If you can upload it to a file share site and post it here that's cool. Just don't like uploading it from personal dropbox, they don't like me posting files to public sites for some reason.

Like a FOOL, I allowed myself to press "update" when I got a new system update screen this morning, while I was half asleep. It rebooted and went to TWRP. I'm on @runningnak3d 's Nougat v30b update. I tried a wipe and reflash the 30b update, but each reboot goes only to TWRP. If anyone can help me sort this out, I'd appreciate it. Nothing like doing stuff wrong when you are waking up. Thanks johnm

So this 85.3 mb system update that keeps nagging, we just need to get it into the form of an update.zip, and flash that. I'm gonna need some help with that. I'm glad people are still reading these v10 threads, or I'd be hung out to dry. Good Luck all! Thanks again!
If someone will grab the update.zip off their phone, I will be glad to make it safe to flash. It used to be in /cache but they may have moved its location. If it is not in /cache then:
* adb shell
su
find / -name update.zip
Post a link here and @ mention me
-- Brian
This is odd. For some reason, after I did the encryption fix a few post back, it's now asking for a knock code. I have no idea why it's asking me for one. Anyone else come across this?

Thanks @runningnak3d , I'm sure your continued help is appreciated by all! Thank you!
I just took a quick look with root explorer, and DO NOT flash that. It will increment ARB, lock your boot loader, and wipe out TWRP.
I will be able to look and see if there is any part of it that is worth flashing once I am in front of my PC again, but I wanted to get the warning out.
Keeping an eye on this thread. Just received the update notification. Being that I use this on cricket I assumed I wouldn't get the update but it showed up today.
Guess I was the only one that experienced that knock code entry. Well, FYI, if you install that update, you may be asked to use a knock code that you never configured. Blah.
All in all, just reinstalled everything and started from scratch. Woohoo!
Any flashable zip file?

Hey guys,
My phone (Nord 2 DN2103, EU) was rooted with magisk and I had twrp installed, in the phone settings, I wanted to do a factory reset. After it rebooted, it has gone into twrp and wiped everything (System, Data etc.) Is there any hope of restoring it, or should I send it to OnePlus? Obviously it's not booting, it's showing the screen with the exclamation mark and the text under it says, that the recovery/boot is destroyed, flash it or contact customer service.
Thanks in advance.
Regards
TWRP shouldn't do that, something has been corrupted. If you have access to boot in Fastboot, try to switch your active slot and see if that helps. If not try to flash it unless you prefer sending it in..
Thank you for your answer!
I've tried flashing the EEA ROM from this thread: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/oneplus-nord-2-oxygen-11-3-dn2103-eea-rom.4331695/, but at some point the installer said: remote: partition does not exist.

Can you boot the device to a point of being able to execute Fastboot commands? If you can, try and switch your active slot from a>b or b>a (depending on which slot is active now). You may have a working boot on the inactive slot to get back up and you can update yourself back to good ROM from there.
I get this message: fastboot: error: Device does not support slots

First, thanks for your response.
Look, I'm not an expert, not even close to it, I just asked for help, because it's my daily and I messed it up. The man, who replied first, told me to do that. I just didn't have a better option, so I gave it a shot. I didn't even know what it's supposed to do with my phone to be honest…
But thanks for your response man, I assume you're an expert, glad I made you laugh and maybe made your day a bit better. I'm just happy, that my phone is working, let me know if I did something crazy to it, seems to work fine.
