Hi Guys,
So i have a LG G4 h735. I rooted it successfully with Kingroot. I followed a guide i found online as to which bloatware i could remove. I did so and after the reset it just boots to the LG log with " SECURITY ERROR" [authentication fail #9]

Now im not a noob to all this. So downloaded the stock rom (H73520b_00_0617.kdz).
I used LGup (variuos versions of it), even tried using Uppercut with it. It will not recognise the device, says it is unknown.
I have also tried LG flash Tool 2014. i tried types 3GQCT and CDMA. Phonemode Diag. Put Phone in download mode. i tried Normal flash and CSE flash. It gives me "required info cannot be found" after it say extracting.
I tried other verions of LG flash Tool, I changed the port to 41, i extracted the necessary .DLL , it picks up the phone and i tied flashing the .KD, also tried flashing the .KDZ file. gives me "Failed PrreviousLoad()"
Please guys this is my sisters phone, and we are going into Nationwide Lockdown as of tommorow because of the CoronaVirus. So she really needs it.[/IMG]

I'm new in this topic, though I had a samsung galaxy ace before and and could root it without a problem, but oh, well.
Then, back to business.
I rooted my lg l9 768g after I bought it and delete some bloatware, but then software update showed up for JB. I downloaded the update and tried to install it, couldn't do it, after a reboot displayed a message saying something about my device being rooted and because of that it could not update. I unrooted the phone using the SuperSU app, instead of using the software I used to root it. After that I tried updating again to JB but the same error showed up.
Since I could not update to JB via sofware update, I tried rooting my phone again, but it would only reboot but the SuperSU app will not show up. Tried doing it several times with same results.

I used this program to root my phone, which worked the first time, but I can't make it to work again.
I tried flashing JB using this tread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=36351786
but I end up with an error
I keep my phone in SW Upgrade Mode and connect the usb to my laptop to see if the drivers weren't installed properly but nothing installs.
So, I would like help with re-rooting my phone or help with another method for flashing JB other than the link already mentioned above.
Thanks in advance.
My phone is a Lg optimus l9 768g
android ver: 4.0.4
kernel ver: 3.0.21
Do you have CWM working?
Try flashing with Your l9 turned on normally and connect the usb in LG software mode (wait for the drivers to connect properly). Sometimes it doesn't work when you start out with it connected in S/W upgrade mode first.

Ok so my goal is to get my new vs985 12b to CM12 or something cooler. So first step I need to downgrade the phone in order to root. I've been trying to follow the instructions here http://www.androidrootz.com/2014/07/...iants.html?m=1 but I seem to be stuck at step 19.
Initially in the flash tool I used the LGVS985_20140620_LGFLASHv160.dll - but when I ran the flash tool it gave me a Device Model is different" "factory model check error" or something like that. So I had seen on LGs site that they distinguish between the vs985 and the lgvs985 and I saw here that they suggested using the LGUP_8974.dll insted which is supposedly "generic". I ran with that but got another error, I think something about there being a mismatch in version or something.
I went back to try and recreate and take a screenshot but now no matter which dll I use I get this download error:

Which dll download do I use? how do I get the flash tool working again? Using a Virtualbox W7 64 bit machine on LM 17 64bit host.

use the instructions in the return to stock thread in the general forum. you shouldnt be downloading anything with the flash tool. you download the file separately.
if you are getting a version mismatch, which is very odd since you bought the device new, use the generic dll. this really shouldnt be happening though. on a new device, that hasnt been flashed with another carriers firmware, the correct dll should work.
I believe I am following the instructions closely. Please see what happens, I recorded this screen record. What am I doing wrong?

If you're on 12 (which I gather by your other thread you are), then this is the thread you should follow to the T...have you tried these steps?
Download the vs98510b kdz file and use the 2014 LG flashtool.
Or download the vs98510b tot file and use the flashtool u have

Hi there,
I have a LG D320 device that one day just freezes up on boot (sits at LG logo forever).
I cannot enter download mode (Holding vol+ goes to loading screen and says to keep holding down until loaded... it never does)
The factory reset mode is accessible but I want to get the data from it first (Vol- on boot)
The device will only connect to a PC if I short the testpoint on the phones motherboard. The USB mode entered is QUALCOMM HS-USB QDLoader 9008 (after installation of the relevant Qualcomm bulk drivers).
Like I said, I only want to get the data off it and tried following instructions:
http://www.droidsavvy.com/unbrick-qualcomm-mobiles/
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2582142
But the partitions do not show up for copying!
Does anyone have any advice on how to go further?
I believe I need to use either QFIL (http://www.androidbrick.com/download/qpst-2-7-build-422-qfil/) or BoardDiag3.99 (like this instruction http://gsm-tips1.blogspot.com.au/2014/12/tutoriallg-g3-boot-repair-stuck-in.html). But I don't have the required files on hand (they ask for a partition.txt file, tot file etc...).
Like I said, I just want to get the data off the phone can anyone help?
I have gone through what I can but seem to be at wits end.
I can set this up on teamviewer if someone wants to log in remotely to try fix it.
I have posted a picture of the mobo, the CPU is an MSM8210 and eMMC is samsung kmk5x000vm-b314)

Dear V10 users, this is a ''Au secours", i made a big mistake.
I just received a brand new LG V10 model H960A with 32 Go running LP 5.1.1
1/ I flash a H960-10a preroot rom in TOT format with LGUP
2/ I flash a V20c rom, to be able to unlock my bootloader with LG developpers. This works fine.
3/ Flash TWRP 3.0.0.2 recovery, This works fine
4/ VERY TIRED AND MADE A BIG MISTAKE !!! Flash RESURECTION REMIX For H901 on H960A
AT THIS POINT, THE PHONE WAS NO MORE RECOGNIZE BY LGUP AND DID NIT APPEAR,
NO WAY TO REFLASH WITH ANY LG TOOLS
So i looked for roms in ZIP format and found 4 roms in T-MOBILE section
I flash using TWRP, fine, reboot, etc... but now the phone is recognize as a H901, not a H960
and LGUP refuse to flash any H960 KDZ or TOT file on the phone because it appears to be a wrong model.
SO THE ONLY WAY FOR MY PHONE TO BECOME AGAIN A H960A MODEL
IS TO FLASH A H960 ROM IN ZIP FORMAT FOR TWRP
BUT I CAN'T FIND ONE !
So please to any user, if you have a H960A with unlocked bootloader,
PLEASE MAKE ME A BACKUP OF YOUR ROM SO THAT I CAN RESTORE WITH TWRP,
AND THEN I COULD REFLASH WITH LGUP AFTER
I cant use my phone with Tmobile rom, FC on setting "Security and Fingerprint"
this means no possibility to install APK from internal memory, sdcard or ADB.
In emergency, I can try changing the buildprop file.
If any H960 user can send this file from H960 to me, it could help to be recognize by LGUP .
THANKS IN ADVANCE FOR YOUR HELP.
Same here
I am bumping this because I've been trying to solve this issue for days now.
I ran into LGE Tools and tried to alter some lines in the downloaded KDZ file with it, but to no avail. Maybe if someone can use the chkdzdev tool, besides the author, who didn't reply to my PM, then we could solve this.
Here is how I went about it...

did you guys fix it?
Hello, my G5 has been stuck in a bootloop for over a year, I've tried to follow some tutorials on how to fix the issue but none of them worked. Since I've read of people being able to fix it with LG FlashTool I tried it too, I was using LG FlashTool V2.0.1.6, the COM port on the phone is set to 41, I told the program to use a FW specified by me and the LGUPc.dll extracted from that same FW. I'm not sure if the FW is the exact same one I have installed on my phone but it is supposed to be installed on it (I know the name of the one installed on my phone but there are multiple FWs with the same name).
Initially LG FlashTool 2.0.1.6 kept showing the "(S) Failed to load." error, but I later managed to download another version (1.8.6.527) which doesn't show that error, though it shows another one once it tries to read the device's information:

The XML log is just a lot of messed up bytes. To me it looks like the serial port is unresponsive.
The steps I took are the exact ones I've seen in this video:
1. Run LGMobileDriver_WHQL_Ver_4.2.0.exe;
2. Run Setup_LGFlashTool_1.8.6.527 and replace MegaLock.dll with the custom one;
3. Run LGH850_DLL.msi;
4. Run LGUP_Store_Frame_Ver_1_14_3.msi;
5. Set the serial port to COM41.
6. Extract: LGUPc.dll and the dz file from the kdz firmware and select them in "LG FlashTool";
_ _ _ _ _
These steps are chronologically different from the ones shown in the vid:
7. Press the Start button on "LG FlashTool";
8. Once "Waiting for connection..." is shown connect the device.
There's only one thing in the LG FlashTool software I installed that differs from the one shown in the vid, there's a text to the right of where the version is displayed, in the vid it reads "LGPTDSMP" but in my version it reads "NPINLOCAL". Can anyone send me the LGTDSMP version, please?
Can anybody help me with this? Thanks in advance.
