Battery lasting considerably less after installing LineageOS 17.1 - Xiaomi Poco F1 Questions & Answers

Hello, i did the following steps:
Wiped system, cache and data
Flashed the latest firmware (V11.0.6.0.QEJMIXM) from Xiaomi Firmware Updater site.
Flashed the latest LOS 17.1 from the official site
Flashed OppenGApps, nano variant
Flashed Magisk 20.4
After that i wiped dalvik because i was having a problem with Play Store where apps would be forever pending to install
At first the phone was heating more than usual but it seems that it has stopped, but now the battery lasts considerably less, i believe that flashing "vendor" may help, but i'm not sure. I used LineageOS 16 before.
Thank you for your help in advance.

Galaxy S3 In Bootloop After Install Paranoid 5.1

S3 in bootloop after install Paranoid 5.1
Hi all!
I'm in troubles with my S3.
I downloaded paranoid 5.1 for S3 webparanoird /legacy/i9300 (pa_i9300-5.1-20150822.zip), then I saw that I had to download GAPPS , so I downloaded: androidrootz . com/2015/03/download-android-51x-lollipop-pa-gapps.html (STOCK version), and finllay I read that was recommended to use boeffla-kernel, so I went to his web and downloaded last version (boeffla-kernel-4.0-alpha13-CM12.1-NG-i9300.recovery.zip).
After get it all, I put it in the SDCard, I when in recovery, I did Wipes: dalvik, cache and data. Then I install in this order (I read this order somewhere) ROM, then, GAPPS, then wiped cache again, finally I install Boeffla kernel. Then wiped again dalvik and cache and rebooted the phone, but before reboot TRWP said If I wanted to root the phone, so I accept. Finally, phone restart, but is in bootloop from more than 30 mins.
How can -I make run the device,??
Thanks in advance

boeffla alpha 13 is based on latest unofficial cm12.1 release 7 by Justarchi, which was released some days ago. Your desired ROM is older (08.22) so maybe it does not support the newer kernel. try to cleanly flash the rom and gapps again without flashing any additional kernel (wipe system, data, cache, flash rom then gapps, no additional steps needed). If it boots with stock kernel. you can try different older releases of boeffla kernel if one of them boots. if you want to go back to stock kernel, you simply have to reflash the rom without wipe (data will be kept)
btw, your desired gapps seems to be a bit old. try some newer one and use a small package (mostly they are called pico/nano or mini package) with only the core gapps needed for playstore and download all additional gapps you need from playstore. IMO it is the better way. there are many actual and good gapps available, for example open gapps, slim gapps, delta gapps, banks gapps, etc.... (I personally use open gapps pico package)

And thanks for the answer! (I'll say something about hoes it goes)

OK, I have installed with out more problems.
What I have done:
I install first of all, the Stock rom, to run the phone. (so the pone was as stock)
then.
- Downloaded TRWP for I9300, and flashed with Odin.
- Copied Rom Paranoid, PicoGapss from OppenGapps and boefflakernel (this time, this version to be sure: boeffla-kernel-4.0-alpha1-CM12.1-NG-i9300.recovery)
- Restarted phne in recovery mode, and whiped Data, system, cache and Dalvik.
- Installed from SD, first the rom, then the gapps, and restarted the phone, but didnt worked, so I go again to recovery
- Install Boeffla Kernel, whiped chache and dalvik, and restarted again.
- TRWP asked for root the phone, so YES ! XD
The waint less than 5 mins, and phone started .
Thanks for all the help!
@xShudyx: Paranoid official is imo the only S3-ROM, which came and still come with non-booting kernel. So think about its usability. As mentioned here, alpha 3 or Anykernel alpha 4 works. But they are outdated too.

Google Play services stopped | CM13 for GT-i9300

I had Unofficial 5.1.1 installed on my Samsung Galaxy S3 GT-i9300. I updated my device via CM Updater to CM13 6.0.1 Marshmallow. After updating, I am getting an error Google Play services has stopped, unfortunately. I cannot access any Google App.
I've flashed the GApps through OpenGapps. But after flashing GApps, phone stucks on Bootloop. I've tried many variants (pico, nano, stock) but none of them worked. I am still stucked at boot screen.
HELP!

Definitely Gapps problem.
1) Backup your data.
2) clean install Marshmallow rom (wipe data/ factory reset & install)
3) look for the correct Gapps (slim zero Gapps work for me)
You might know, but just telling - make sure the Gapps is for Android 6.0
P.S: don't panic and flash several things at once. Maybe you haven't clean flashed the CM 13, that might be the reason.
Clean flash 13.0 and don't boot yet after and go back to recovery, instead flash gapps immediately after flashing the rom. If you dont then you're going to have a bad time. Hope I helped
Done. Flash CWM and Boom
Thank You @sashankps. Slim Zero Gapps worked for me.
What I did?
1. Installed CWM Recovery.
2. Wiped everything.
3. Installed CM 13 (6.0.1)
4. Flashed Slim Zero Gapps.
5. Done.
PS: For future readers, please note that do not wipe cache/data after installing Gapps. After finishing above steps directly Reboot your system.

Glad it helped.
I was a CWM recovery user myself, but the development is static, I would suggest you move on to TWRP - chances of you encountering flashing problems is less.
Next Time.

[Q] [issue] Battery drain after update to CM13.0

Hello,
I was update my i9100 to CM 13.0. Everything works fine, mobile is fast and in idle is battery good. It should be better, but no problem... But. If I am working on phone, battery is draining very fast. Some about 10% per hour. I try reinstall, wipe ally etc. Still bad battery life.
My kernel version is: Linux version 3.0.101-CM-g3419d27.
How I was installing CM13 from CM12
- flash cwm via odin
- install kitkat compatible cwm from zip
- wipe data / factory reset, wipe cache and dalvik cache
- flash dorimanX kernel + 3GB pit file
- install CM13.0 + Gapps Pico 6.0
What can I do? Battery life is really bad.
Thanks and sorry for my english.

Hi,
If you find that screen on time is bad on CM13, you might want to consider downgrading. You could try running greenify to hibernate unused apps, but it may not help much. Other than that, nothing else can be done to give a noticeable increase in battery life.
gsstudios
Also if you have just installed CM13 give it a week or two as I found the first week the battery life seem a little crap but balanced out the following week

Ressurected Remix 7.1 ROM, updated SuperSU and now in bootloop.

I got Resurrection Remix 7.1 (official 3/15) installed and working and I have never run a custom ROM before on any phone, but I must say WOW. This work(ed) so beautifully. Very responsive and clean interface and the battery life was looking phenomenal. It was basically everything I could have wanted and then some.
Now the bad news. I was trying to run a file manager that seemed to lack root access and I clicked on SuperSu which said it needed to update, I chose "update normally" instead of via TWRP. It ran and said it succeeded but needed a reboot. Now I am in the "Get Resurrected" bootloop and I don't know if there is any way to recover at this point. I can obviously get back into TWRP and I tried wiping and re-flashing 35B bootstack and RR ROM zips. No luck.
Before this ROM I was thinking seriously of upgrading from G3 to something newer but after seeing how well this runs on the G3 hardware I don't see any reason to upgrade given how well this run, though I only had it up to test for 4-5 hours.
Any help would be appreciated. I did find another post on CM13 in bootloop from SuperSu install/update and flashing a 'make permissive selinux' fix which worked for this situation. I am wondering if it may work for RR bootloop as well? Again any help would be appreciated.
Big thanks to Rohlm who suggest system format before re-installing!
I went into the Wipe options in TWRP and selected the format data and then went through the install steps again. Data, cache, Dahlvik wipe, 35B bootstack flash, RR 7.1 flash, gapps 7.1 arm flash and I'm now "Re-Resurrected!" And I checked still have root access!
Cheers,
-Scott

LineageOS/Pixel Experience don't work properly after returning to stock

Hi all, this is my first question here.
I reverted to the stock ROM (11.2.0 Global), which I got from here, from LineageOS 17.1, but when I reinstall LineageOS, the phone shuts down during the first boot, and in subsequent reboots the phone shuts down after a few seconds, making it impossible to complete the setup process.
I followed all the steps, including formatting data and then doing an advanced wipe of /system and /cache in TWRP before installing LineageOS, and there were no error messages during the installation.
Thankfully, the stock ROM works fine, but I'd like to reinstall LineageOS.
Can anyone please help me with this?
Update: the same issue occurs with Pixel Experience.
The same happened to me too, for me I fixed it by flashing permissiver zip after flashing rom.
This was only needed only once after switching to custom rom from stock, after that you can flash roms normally i.e without permissiver.
Happend to me too ,after many tries got it fixed by flashing LOS 16 then clean flashed LOS 17.1 without cleaning the vendor partition. But for me PE was working fine only LOS 17.1 had issue like constant shutdown after installation when its boot up.
