I found that my Samsung S9 plus rear facing camera lack of human face detect. It needs to be in closed distance (2-3 feet) to detect human face. When move phone farther, the camera will lost face detect immediately. Is there any solution to fix this issue? I have another Meizu phone which rear camera is still able to detect and track human face when move phone behind 10 feet.
Thank you very much!

So my OIS has been acting up lately. Kind of weird. Like when the camera app is open, if I move the camera, the lens seems to keep 'drifting' ever so slightly after I stop moving my hands. It comes to a complete stop after a few seconds, but its very strange. If I move my hands again, to get a new photo framed, same thing happens. The sensor seems to keep drifting maybe for a second more even after I've fully stopped.
I've wiped data from the camera app, did usual factory reset, and problem persists. I'm thinking something is wrong with the OIS motor or how the sensor is positioned within the OIS?
If LG won't honor warranty(I'm 2nd owner), I'm thinking of getting an OEM replacement camera sensor. My question: Is the OIS module inside the module that houses the camera sensor, or is it somewhere else on the device? I was looking at this replacement for example:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/OEM-Back-Re...132462?hash=item1a14dc502e:g:t8YAAOSwOVpXVU1U
I'm wondering if something like that replacement part also contains the OIS module. Let me know what you guys think. I can't seem to find answers anywhere if the OIS is with the sensor or someplace else.
I only experience that drifting issue with the slow-mo recording.
Why don't you just ask LG customer service? That would have been my first move.
Honestly that's how OIS has behaved for me on my Lumia 1020, Note 4, and LG v10.
I wonder if anyone of you have problem with camera focus. I want to know that it could be problem in MIUI or is it H/W issue?
Please help me with it.
Thanks
I also have the same problem where the Redmi 3S main camera doesn't focus and all pictures captured are blurred.
Same issue here, started after installing custom ROM
Does it happens for only the back cam or both the cams? It might be possible that there is dust inside the glass which affects focus. might want to clear your lens from the inside.

redmi 3s is most bugged phone in the history of xiaomi. this one unlucky fella got no love of xiaomi leaving it without any single android upgrade or latest security patch.
According to me that auto-focus issue may be a wrongly designed mechanism, as I have experienced this issue on all camera apps in playstore and custom rom I have tried
Lol front camera is fixed focus camera so don't expect so much.
My Xiaomi Redmi 3s camera also can't focus anymore because the camera's autofocus problem suddenly happens on my phone. I also cleaned the camera lens from the inside and the results didn't work. suppose this problem has a solution or not ?? because I often use cameras for photography ... please help find a solution ...
The cameras on the Mate 10 are great, but would definitely benefit with some more tweaking. The primary camera performs really well and offers fine tuned control over almost all the variables. I've found that the auto-exposure in low light raises the ISO quite a bit and the picture ends up looking fake, plastic and grainy. This can easily be fixed by under-exposing or by lowering the ISO in manual mode, but only with the primary camera. The front camera always seems to expose for the face. There are no controls to set exposure or focus, and there is no manual mode. Although it performs well in good light, the results are poor in low light and the lack of any control restricts any creative photography. For instance, if I move the camera off my face, it exposes for the background but it doesn't lock. The exposure switches back the instant I reframe the shot. Is there any workaround for controlling the front camera besides using another camera app?
Front facing camera manual focus
I have the same problem, the front facing camera is almost unusable where there is a lot of light.

I have installed open camera, and this app let me lock the exposure of the front facing camera.
any solution found of this? i can hardly use the front camera because of this issue
The front facing camera on the Mate 10 Pro is great for taking outdoor selfies, as long as you want a solid white background behind you. I can't believe more people aren't complaining about this and that there isn't an official fix.
My front cam suddenly started acting wierd. When I take selfies with sky in the background, the sky area is intemsly over exposed and when I focus the sky, the subject and everything else turns completely dark. The exposure balancing is screwed up for some reason. It doesn't matter when you take photos, the sky appears like it is flashing intense light towards the camera making the subject less visible. Even if HDR mode is enabled, the issue persists. Is it a hardware problem or a software problem?
We can clearly see the problem when compared with the results from the rear cam which works finely.
Hi to all I have problem in my Mi 10 camera ultra wide camera hang then I need to close camera app main camera lens and micro working ok
Hi, do you still face that problem? I bought a used Mi 10 with broken screen a month ago to sell it with a better price. I launched a camera, tested main functions including all cameras and haven't experienced any problem. I guess it was one of the previous generations because after update they introduced me a new a'la iOS notification panel. I decided to update software - because why not - now it's MIUI 13, and didn't check remaining functions. After all I took the phone apart and replaced the screen. I tested everything and I got scared because of the ultrawide lens. Now I don't know if the reason was too big pressure put on the UW lens to glue the screen, I put extra soft layers on screen and a battery cover to properly distribute weight (I already repaired a few phones and none of them got damaged in any way) taking care about a cameras' island.
Also I bought another cameras' island and unfortunately there's no difference.
I'll try to downgrade the OS to the oldest version and let you know about the result.
Always you can successfully access the stock camera by 3D touch on main screen and select among a few modes: Pro, Photo and Video
