Android Market stalled at "Starting Download..."

I've been looking for the answer for quite a while, so I thought I should post the answer that worked for me here...
A lot of people are having trouble with downloading applications from the Android Market. When trying to install an application all that happens is that a message "Starting Download..." is showing but the download never starts. For me a clean Android installation (wiped) didn't help, neither did hard- or soft rebooting, neither did turning off Wifi or clearing the download managers and Android Market cache.
I'm not saying this will work for everyone but the answer was quite simple (and hard to guess) in the end. I simply started the application "Google Talk" and suddenly applications started downloading from the market. I couldn't receive any new (g)mail notifications either anymore and that's fixed too!
Hopefully someone will find this info helpful
Thanks! Was having a lot of problem with the market today. This trick worked immediately.
Logging into GTalk is quite a well known fix, but well done for finding it yourself!

Dave

After discovering it accidentally I found some answers that were pointing in the same direction yes. But there are so many people having this problem, and there are so many different answers that the right answer will still be hard to find.
I had the same problem, google talk didn't help.
I found out that (since it's a non-activated device i will be using for development) I had to disable data roaming and activate only wifi to get it downloading.
After that, everything was working perfectly.
It is on a HTC touch pro (raphael 800)
Hope it can help someone.
I too have the same problem. I tried the GTalk and also the connection settings. Tried hard reset as well as clearing data and cache from the App Manager but to no avail. ): I'm really frustrated and disappointed at Android. They should get things working properly before releasing!

[Q] Google Maps vs Waze Problem

I am currently using MeanBean v3.07 and really appreciate all the work Mikey has done to create a great ROM. My problem is with Google Maps Navigation that was a problem long before I rooted and started installing custom ROMs.
Any time I leave Google Maps and start Navigation the app freezes and eventually crashes. I thought it was a GPS issue, however, Waze works great. I have since switched to use Waze exlusively, however, I really do like the Google Maps integration and ease of use.
Any suggestions or troubleshooting ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
Its been talked about before. The only way to "fix" it that I have seen is get a new phone. It is hit or miss on it working. Mine doesn't work but my wifes does.
It's a known issue with Jelly Bean that devs have attempted to address with little to no luck. The issue with Nav isn't with any particular ROM, as it also exists with stock, unrooted devices. Why it affects some phones but not others isn't known. Mikeyxda (among others) looked at the problem and it seems to have to do with Nav eating up memory until it crashes.
The advice is free....the bandwidth, not so much
Thank you for the input. Much appreciated.

All Google account disappeared from the phone suddenly!

This is what happened to me, I haven't installed anything special recently... What could have caused that? Looks kind of scary, worried if hack...
My Google search didn't help.
Bump!!

[Q] Kindle Fire HDX 7 Unresponsive After Rooting

First of all. Thanks for all the efforts for getting root and gapps working. I have been able to do it and was pretty happy for awhile until one day, my Kindle became unresponsive, touch delayed, sometimes not working at all. I have to lock-unlock to get it working normal again, then, it starts to slow down again and delay touches. I was wondering if this is at all related to rooting? I wanted to see who else gets this.

Unlikely consequence of rooting unless you installed something that burrowed deep into you system. First steps are a virus scan (unlikely to find anything but easy to do and may provide additional clues) followed by a cleaner app / task manager to look for crud and autostarts. Might want to disable gapps (especially play services) to rule out a conflict. After that a some type of reset/restore but how that is best accomplished depends on what firmware you are on.
I assume you have a root manager such as SuperSU installed. Might want to check logs to see what you have recently permitted. Rooting doesn't cause the systoms you describe but does give you the ability screw yourself.

How can I prevent apps from reloading everytime I come back to them after minimizing?

This is driving me crazy. It's impossible to multi task. I'm on uber. I get a text message, read it, get back to Uber and now it's loading from scratch in the middle of my trip. Go to my browser to complete the post i was typing but now it's reloading, and it's cleared my message and now I have to type it all over again. Go back to Google maps and I have to re-search the place and the direction. On Skype, go to contacts to retrieve a number but now it's dropped my call. It's extremely frustrating.
My phone is Huawei 2017 MYA L22. Its on Android 6.0. 2GB RAM. The reason I post here and not my phone's forum is because no one ever replies on that forum.
I've gone through all the battery optimization options on the phone but it hasn't solved the problem. I've also gone through the development option. I have a phone with 1GB RAM, although, really slow, it will never kill or reload apps, everything is right where I left it. With this phone I almost never reach 1GB of usage and it acts like I'm using everything it's got.
It's not rooted (would love to root it but that's another problem. Can't find the method to).
UPDATE: Rooted it (FINALLY!) and uninstalled all the bloatware, as well as experimenting with freezing Phone Manager and Mobile Genie...same sh*t! Nothing changed. Still killing apps! Agh!
Any help would be greatly appreciated guys!
Anyone?
