SOLVED: did a hard reboot and that diced the issue. ?
a month or so ago, my kindle app stopped working on my note 8. i uninstalled/reinstalled and still no luck.
at first i thought it was the app, but it works just fine on my samsung galaxy tab a tablet, so now i think it's my phone.
when i go to open the app, i get the welcome screen for maybe 2 seconds and then it disappears.... then nothing. there app won't even open. I've even tried installing an older version of the app, which also does the same thing.
anyone have an idea on why this is happening, and more importantly, how to get it to work?
thanks.

Hello, I'd like to ask if anyone found any issues with the following apps as I did:
- WidgetLocker Lockscreen
- Zombie Tsunami
Zombie Tsunami hangs and crashes after a few seconds of running it, and it only happens to my S3. My friends and colleagues who are also on the S3 can run their app just fine, and we're all on the same version of the app. I've tried reinstalling, but no luck.
With regards to WidgetLocker, I can't add widgets to it. This was an issue with the app for the past few months or so, but even after yesterday's update I still can't add any. That said, the app may still just be broken.
In any case, I'm wondering whether it's my phone that's the problem. I'm running stock rooted JB 4.1.2, XXEME2. Thanks.
Factory reset
After updating to latest Android Wear app for my phone, the app just shows a blank screen with the usual cloud background -- no watch face options, etc. It shows the watch as connected, but I can't get to any of the settings. Same thing after rebooting both the phone and watch, as well as uninstalling and reinstalling the app. When I use Titanium Backup to restore the previous version everything is fine again. Anyone else encountering this?

no problem here
Well, hmmm....I wonder what my deal is? I've tried it quite a few times and no dice. I guess I'll just keep using the old version and wait to see if another update fixes it. I had to do this once before when the watch was running Wear v1.5, too. I'm pretty sure the update is mostly cosmetic anyway, so I doubt I'm missing much. Thanks for the responses!
PS - Good to see you here scjjtt!
I factory reset the watch and paired/set everything up all over again and now it's working. A few other things are actually working better, so apparently something was messed up even though the problem with the AW app was the only thing I noticed. Setting up the watch all over again isn't that difficult to do with Wear 2.0.
Hi, I'm using galaxy s8 with custom oreo ROM, Three months ago the play store stopped working well, when I press download it's says downloading but nothing really happens, there's no notification that shows the download progress, and it's not really downloading.
If I'm waiting long enough, like 20 minutes it starts downloading that app but only one app at a time.
I wiped data and flashed another ROM and then the store worked just fine for two weeks and then the same problem started again, I even wiped the whole data and still that problem came back.
What could it be? I seriously got no idea what I can do to fix it, please help me if you have any idea, thanks in advance.
While searching the web today on my SM-T860 it suddenly crashed and when it tried to reboot it only got as far as the Samsung logo. The power button alone did not do anything. The tablet restarted by pressing all three buttons together. This has never happened with any other Android device for 'no reason'. Has anyone else experienced this?
Same happened to my last night. I was trying to download a jpeg file that wouldn't open and it crashed after setting it using another way to download it. It was stuck in reboot loop without response from the buttons.
I've not experienced any issues. I'm still running Pie OneUi (v1.5) and the SK1 build.
Might be a good idea to post what firmware you're both running to see if one of the newer versions has introduced a bug - Right now, you're not going to gather any useful information except that it's not just your device that has crashed.
My new one did that right out of the box and had to be returned. It would never get past the Samsung logo, could not be turned off with the power button, and would not go into recovery mode. The exchanged unit worked just fine.
Maybe it's the latest update or some kind of bug though and it only works when using the chrome then downloading at this site a wallpaper. You'll be getting a broken jpeg file and after opening it that's where the problem started.

This happened to me 3 times now, almost sent the tablet back to Samsung. It usually happens with I set up a new Wallpaper using a 3rd party launcher (home replacement). Stayed away from messing with 3rd party launchers and it's been working great for me. Scary.
me too still running Android 9 with OneUI 1.5. No crash ever happened yet.
I'm rooted with Android 9, UI 1.5. I had an almost plain red background on my tab (attached?). I had two crashes in abouut 1 week and have had maybe a total of 6.
I have now gone back to the stock launcher and Samsung default wallpaper just today. I wonder if that will make a difference like someone suggested here?

I'm using Nova and no issues.
Sent from my Samsung SM-T867U using XDA Labs
Bloody hell, it crashed again using stock launcher, not sure if hardware or software issue...
Well, it crashed again and now I have updated to Android 10 with Odin. I did not flash TWRP or root the Tab, bootloader still unlocked and using Nova, lets see what happens......
if you have any ideas on what i can do, greatly appreciated.
i haven’t been able to open One Note on my Duo. I first tried a couple of weeks ago because i wanted to try it out. when i tap the icon it shows the splash screen for a second and then crashes. i get a pop up with three options. i can’t recall right now what they are, but i think close, report, and maybe open. anyways, whatever i do, it won’t open. i thought maybe with the january update it would get resolved. and there was an update through the Play app a week or so ago. but nothing helped. i have rebooted the Duo and have forced close the app. I wish i could delete the app and reinstall but its not possible.
any ideas?
Resolved. I just did a factory reset and everything is now working. Weird because I never did anything besides normal updates. One of them must have gone wrong.
