Not bad

as I live in an area with bad signal I am specifically interested in comments on the g5 performance in such environments, especially compared with other phones.
thanks for all sort of input!

Comparing to
Samsung. Note 4 and 5
Lg G4
Samsung galaxy s4 and s5
I have all of them tested against
Lg G5
And Lg G5 will have 1-2 bars where other phones will not pick anything....
So definitely Snapdragon X16 LTE modem is real winer in reception side from other phones
I have also confirmed Band 12 working on T mobile
In Detroit area at my house now I hit 126 mb/s with this device where Note 4 and Lg g4 are close with 119 mb/s

One handy App is LTE Discovery.....that will give all information on how well two phones are competing against....
I do have two phones that I use non stop and I travel all over USA
LG G4
LG G5
And LG G5 is so far best of all phones with internal antenna that preform like ?

Ok i have sprint, im hearing great things for all carriers regarding signal strength
Two days with EE in UK with my Z2 and G5, no difference usual but on odd occasion when Z2 is no signal I get one bar on G5. Thumbs up from me.
i am from india, here i am using Jio carrier, i am getting very low coverage in G5, whereas my Moto x play was getting fairly good coverage.
My G5 is getting too hot and battery is draining fast with Jio
I was wondering if someone with exp on modding apps found a way to unlock wifi calling on any network? I really like that feature but tmobile has horrible coverage where i live so i had to change carriers

Sorry but many of the best devs have been trying for years and no dice
I dont know much about programming apps etc but i know with the verizon bionic you could use sqlite to change aomething in the hotspot app so you could get free wireless tethering so i figured it be the same

SM-G9600 or SM-9650 Snapdragon variant. Why? Unlocked bootloader, better battery life, doesn't overheat under heavy usage. No issues with carriers, FM radio, Samsung Pay, fewer bugs, better gaming speeds. Likely fewer custom ROMS than the Exynos variant but they're available and the list is growing.
And if I can will I receive 4G Lte data speeds and will talk text also work as well. Thanks in advance

It will work fine. I'd recommend flashing to the U1 firmware. That way you can get rid if VZW specific apps.
I am having a horrible time with this! I have a verizon s9+ trying to use on tmobile and I don't get 4lte all I get is E and it bounces from E to no service... will flashing to that firmware fix my issue? Also I'm in arf4
Is there a app that I can use to get unlimited 5G hotspot when using NY t-mobile LG V60 device as a hotspot when streaming my Roku box to stream Netflix and Hulu? and also when using my T-mobile LG V60 as a hotspot for my Laptop. If there is a app out of the market that I can use in the market could someone please let me know.and are there a special way that I need to set up the settings in the app for it to work correctly. No settings, but free version isn't unlimited. You need to get the paid version for it to work.

Yes my friend, you need the FoxFi Key app which costs 7.99 on the play store. Once you have installed both it should work like a charm.

I'm using a grandfather hotspot plan so I get 20 Gig's of hotspot and then they throttle me down.so basically I will get 20 Gig's of 5G and then it will be throttled down to 4G until the next month and I will start over with 20 Gig's of 5G again. Is that how it works? Will someone please tell me if I'am correct or not. Thanks In advance!!!

The app doesn't use your hotspot data, it uses your Celullar Data. So when you check your hotspot usage it will be at 0%.
Your 20GB will be intact and instead it will be counted from your regular phone data but since you have unlimited mobile data it will never throttle.
