I'm considering to buy Amazfit 2 from taobao. Since my pace haven't got any scratches to the glass during 1.5 years of use, I have no interested to pay 500RMB extra for leather strap and saphir glass - or is there some additional catch with 2S?
Could someone who already have the Amazfit 2 give a try for changing the system language to English via adb?
mine is on the way. I hope I can easily change the language to English.

hello !
I got amazfit sportwatch 2 , I am in Shanghai, bought it from taobao original store.
watch is great, more for man than woman cause is really sporty watch.
good looking and well done, same bright like version 1, only in chinese and cant be coverted in english with adb shell command (bootloop).
still testing
regards
Update: Got 2 rom update, one yesterday and one today morning, watch is smooth, more than version 1. I have tried a couple of time with different adb command but nothing to do about language, it always update apps (in english) and then restart, again and again. revert back to chinese is all fine.
regards

Hello,

If you understand Chinese you will see shop is in another region, but looks like is the only official one, shops in Shanghai they buy it from them.
I had to wait 12 days to get it, now looks like it is just 4/5 day, then they ship out with SF so one day for delivery.

But doesn't it have HR sensor?
Yes it does, as is described everywhere.
But some people have complained that the sensor is not accurate enough, so you now can connect an external one.
a lot of users who bought the smartwatch are looking for an English Firmware, hopefully it will be available soon

Hello,
HR sensors on watch it is always less accurate than bends. This is why for who is interested on "hight level" sports tracks they offer watches that can be paired with external devices.
Note: HR Amazfit sensor is better than HW 1 and 2 sensor. already tested.

Hello, that's not the clue, for sure US version will be released in a 3-4 month as company already said.
The fact is that we have to look forward to have the trick to move chinese version to english. As you may know chinese version is always better than US one cause company follow update and new stuffs more closely

Hello! Im searching for working drink water application for Verge, what remeber me every time, to not forget drink a water. I missing a lot this kind of app from all Amazfit product. Thank you
A workaround is to use a app in the phone and send the notification in the watch as i do now, yet is true i will like as well a standalone app do exactly that. May i suggest opening a tread in xiaomi forums as well?

Please check ALIEXPRESS and Amazfit official store. You can buy from them
I have been exploring several watch faces in the last couple of weeks, and I found that over 95% of watch faces come with health related info like step counter, heart rate, distance walked, etc by default. Some app developers swear by these health related data so much that they are a permanent element of their watch faces and cannot be changed if the user desires. These designs clearly show how much importance these developers themselves attach to the health and fitness data on their smartphones and smartwatches.
Personally, I think that these devices and apps are still very far from providing reliable info, and features like an app reminding oneself to drink water are totally absurd. Instead of using human faculties for understanding our own bodies, we are moving in a direction where we would eventually become completely dependent on technology to tell us how we feel, what our bodies need, etc. In other words, moving in the direction of disaster!
How many of you agree with my statement?
I've bought the Amazfit GTR 4 and I've become very disappointed with Amazfit company.
I already had other equipments from the brand, such as the Pace, Bip, Stratus, GTR, and GTR 2, and now I have the GTR 4.
I like the GTR 4, it is a nice smartwatch, now even more smart with the option to download apps even knowing it have a very small catalog of apps.
I have installed and downloaded one payed app, and here starts my problem.
I'm not against payed apps, the devs should have they work supported, so they can continue developing and giving support.
The problem here is that we cannot contact the Apps Dev for support, there's no way to reach them, and contact Amazfit/Zepp company, results in an automatic answer mail saying...
"Customer Support.
This is an automated response confirming the receipt of your request. Your support tickets will be reviewed and responded to as soon as possible.
Please kindly note that Amazfit Support is available Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. PT. All support inquiries submitted outside of normal operating hours will require additional time for a response."
I'm waiting for an answer and for a fix or a way to contact the app Dev since the day I received this email (9 May 2023).
It's so amateur and so ridiculous a company sell they services, and don't give any support to it.
The application is called "Vibration Time from Star Bright Dev".
This application should vibrate my Amazfit 4 every hour, according to the configured hours.
The problem is that it doesn't assume the correct hours.
If i configure it to vibrate at 3 pm, it will vibrate and showing on screen that is 3 pm but it will do that at 8 am.
What more can I do?
How can I reach the Dev to have support, since Amazfit/Zepp doesn't give me the support I need?
This sure will be my last Amazfit/Zepp device.
