I want to update the OS on this thing past 4.2.2 which it was designed for. I've looked on twrp for my model, but not there. How might I install nougat on my nuvision tm785m3? thx,

Is there any way to downgrade to marshmallow from nougat? For some reason it seems like Nougat doesn't let you flash anything (in twrp at least). I cant even transfer files without getting into a bootloop.
Have your tried flashing from your computer using adb? That's how i went from CM 14.1(Android 7.1) back to marshmallow.

it wouldn't work. CM14.1 works wih MM bootloader, while Official Nougat with... Nougat's one! (that refuses to boot MM).
Some have bricked it trying to downgrade... so, pay attention....

Hello, I have been thinking of installing a vanilla version of android 5.0 for the lenovo A916 to get rid of the bloatwares the devices comes with but havent found too much about it.
Could someone help me out with this where can I get the vanilla version of Android 5.0 for the lenovo A916? the device is kind of unknown already and im not the most pro when it comes to android which makes it kind of hard to get concrete info on it.
Hi everyone,
I'm considering building a new Custom ROM for my Teclast X98 Plus tablet to get new features and security updates.
However I've never done that before, but as there are other Custom ROMs I think it must be possible somehow
The Android version of the original firmware is 5.1, also Mireks ROM for the tablet is based on that and also the available Remix OS 2.0 I guess.
My question is: Do you think it is possible to build a mostly working ROM based on a newer version like Marshmallow, Nougat or even Oreo?
And is it possible to extract the proprietary blobs and drivers from an existing ROM and get them working on the newer Android?
I've seen that on other devices, but I don't know where they got the blobs and other stuff needed.
Any input would be appreciated
Hi,
I've recently acquired an old Vertu Aster Onyx, unfortunately it is running Android 4.4 which is quite unreliable and I would like to move it to Android 5.1.1.
This phone was offered on 5.1.1. however with Vertu closing shop the OTA update is not delivered anymore.
I've managed to Root the phone in a second with Kingroot and I also have a Vertu Signature Touch from the same year running 5.1.1.
Any idea if there's a way for me to manually load 5.1.1 from either a download link or from the Signature Touch?
Best
Hello,
I have several friends with umidigi and other low end android phones. It's a shame that Umidigi does a horrible job at offering the latest version of android and security updates. Anyway I was wondering if there's a custom rom that would get me android 13? I understand it's a generic Unisoc based phone.
Any tutorial and direction would be greatly appreciated.
