[Q] Very slow dialer - how to fix it?

Hey, don't know what happened but since few days my dialer is very slow. It takes approx. 15 seconds to start calling since I press call button in the contact. I cannot reinstall system, because it is time-consuming, I am waiting for ICS but in meantime I need to fix this issue
In other dialers it is alike - example exDialer.
I've got Gingerbread 2.3.6, stock.
Cheers.
menu / settings / applications / manage app / all / Dialer -> clear data
You say you're stock, but rooted? If rooted, try installing another dialer or modded one. Also, if you have CWM Recovery, clear cahe and dalvik.
Edit: You could also re-flash the stock ROM without wipe
Actually, reinstalling has newer been faster.
First, disable USB debugging and connect to pc/kies and make backup of msg, logs, notes...
Second, install titanium backup and back yours data+apps, it is one click process...
After that you are safe to factory reset your phone/install new rom..
Then you restore backup from kies (phone will reboot), install titanium backup and make one click restore for all applications+data...
Done!
Sent from my GT-I9100 using XDA App
I cleared but didn't help.
Yes I am rooted, installed next dialer and it is same - long waiting, I noticed during waiting lag CPU is working at 1200 Mhz - dunno why...
I have CWM Recovery but frankly I touched this only when I was rooting and installing 2.3.6 over 2.3.3. I do not know what dalvik is
Reflashing stock you mean system on system? It would be third system-on-system - I guess it would be too much

Backup your data and factory reset.
Just re-flash your ROM. If stock use ROM download and instructions here:
[ROM+Guide]Official i9100 Firmwares KG, KH, KI, KJ, KK1/2/5, KL1/2/3, LA2 Download
If your running custom ROM, boot into CWM recovery and factory reset, wipe cache, go to advanced and wipe dalvik, and immediately flash custom rom.zip file from sdcard.
I upgraded 2.3.6 XXILA from 14.01.2012. Problem is gone
Thanks for help!
BTW, Google should check this issue out, it shouldn't have happened.

Internal SD cannot be load after upgrade to 4.0.4 & rooted

I have just update my firmware of SGS2 from 4.0.3 to 4.0.4 and I have rooted it with CF-Root-SGS2_XW_NEE_LPG-v5.5-CWM5 using odin3 v1.85.
My apps that are installed in my internal SD could not load after so. I have tried restarting over and over but it never recover. And, I found this SuperSU to show this message when I tried to on it : There is no SU binary installed, and SuperSU cannot install it. This is a problem!
No clean install
u should have made a clean install , i mean u should have wiped data/factory reset and cache before updating from 4.0.3 to 4.0.4
it's always recommended to install new roms on a clean platform

[Q] Notification bar settings crash

hi
i got stock rom, 4.1.2, i have just factory reseted my phone, then sync and when i wanted to edit notification panel, when i click on display/notificaion panel it says "unfortunately, settings has stopped".
any solutions how to fix this?
thank you
Did you restore any system apps or settings from an earlier build version? If not then go back and start again, testing settings after you factory reset. If the error occurs before you sync anything then rom is corrupt, flash the latest stock rom via your pc and kies - if you haven't rooted, or odin if you have.

How can I reinstall stock rom? I'm on Android 10 April Update stock. Noob

I'm on Android 10 april update and want to reinstall stock android 10 rom. My phone is not rooted, Bootloader locked and no custom recovery install.
The closest thing to reinstall for you is to perform a factory reset. If you want to reflash whole rom, unlock the bootloader and flash stock rom via fastboot. Not sure why would you want to do that though.

After installing April update (perviously on Android 10 march update) and using it for few hours, my phone got stuck so I rebooted by holding power down button. Error appeared " Can't load Andoid system. Your data might be corrupted". I was forced to factory reset and lost my data. Installed my apps again and reboot for some reason only to be presented by same error again. So I thought reinstalling rom might fix this error.

It would be useful to troubleshoot why the phone doesn't boot (with "adb shell logcat") - on fully stock phone it might be caused by some app or HW defect. Logcat should reveal the reason for crash. What's the status of your phone now?

Factory reset again, installed apps and rebooted it twice. Fortunately, it didn't happen again but I'm still worried. I didn't flash stock rom. Just factory reseted.

Enable ADB in developer settings so you can troubleshoot it if your phone crashes again.
