GOod day friends,
I have a Micromax A116 thats almost a year old.
2 days back, Suddenly the SIM card is not getting detected.
The same sim (BSNL 3G) has been used for almost a year now on the same slot and suddenly it has gone non-detecable....
( then i checked the sim on to other mobile and it was ok. )
I changed the SIM from Slot 1 to Slot 2 ....still Card not detected......never used Slot 2 for any purpose....
So i decided it is really not a hardware issue but something to tweak ..........
I tried checking for IMEI number and it was getting displayed with #*06#
So IMEI no. is intact.
Recently i had changed my memory card from 4gb to 16gb .... i guess some related to it would have caused the trouble......bcz i FEEL that was the exact moment the sim cards went non-detecable.
So i changed my back to my old memory card and still the problem..........
SO i request some body who is aware of this issue to guide me to resolve this issue....
Thank you in advance
Regards
Thiagu

i dnt seem to understand wht went wrong
Gentlemen, I have a pretty strange problem when it comes to the SIM card in your phone. After installing the ROM - Dirty Unicorns - SIM card I fell as if burned. I checked on various Roma to no avail. None at all read the SIM card in the phone. But after installing the software orginalnego Samsung Sim card work jakgdyby nothing had happened. But as soon as I do root your phone card disappears again. I'm sorry for the mistakes I use Google Translate to communicate with you
Hi,
Believe me - I tried all the things I found searching the web - this is my last resort..
I have Jiayu S2 Advanced 2/32GB, It stopped detecting SIM cards after system update.
Original Adroid was in version 4.4.2,
After this happened I tried to change ROM with the ones available on needroom portal, as well as Jiayu website and Jiayu.es
Tried to upload ROM with SPflash and CWMRecovery - I went through different 4.4.2 version and 4.2.2 - everytime ROMs were working fine, but SIM cards are not detected.
At the same time I observed that all 4.4.2 Android version did not even notify about SIM cards missing - only 4.2.2 did it.
IMEI address is correct (the same for both SIM cards) - tried to overwrite it anyway with the same numbers - but still the same...
I'm not an expert, but I think radio file is included in ROM package when flashing with SPflash? If not - where can I get it and how to upload it to the phone? Any other ideas?
Attached screenshots from system set up and Mobileuncle Tools - on the SIM 1 I see some signal strength changing and Radio is ON, no matter if card is in or not - status of those doesn't change if I put SIM card in.
ONE MORE THING!! Just found out - when telephone starts up there's standard info 'Slot 1: No SIM card detected, Please check if SIM card is ready' and the same message for SIM2, but when I clear messages and then on working phone I take out SIM card from Slot 1 and put it back 1 second later I get the same message again 'Slot 1: No SIM card detected, Please check if SIM card is ready' - this make me believe that SIM actually is detected, but somehow not recognized! The same thing happens if I "play" with Slot 2. Please help!!
Did you manage to fix it? I am having trouble myself; The SIM cards are detected, but cannot connect to the network. The IMEI was blank after a couple of ROM flashes, but I have restored it. Still, no luck... Probably the efs folder or something like that is corrupted, but I have no backup.
Same issue in Jiayu S2
Hi,
I recently flashed CM 13 from 7-20-2016 onto a Samsung Galaxy S3 SCH-I939 and everything works great...except for calling. It shows "No SIM card" on the Settings. I tried several methods including:
Reinserting the SIM card
Cleaning the SIM card
Try the SIM card on another phone (without success)
Put a piece of paper on top of the SIM card to help connectivity
Use ADB to replace the nv_data.bin with nv_data.bak to (possibly) restore the old radio information
What can I do?
Thanks in advance
background: I bricked my redmi note 3 in the worst way so I had to use test point method to bring it back to live. So I disassembled and assembled it during that process. Both sim slots were working great before that.
Symptom: sim slot 1( the micro size) alone is working fine. When I put only one sim card in sim slot 2 ( the nano size which share space with micro sd card), it show sim card detected then no sim card then sim card detected then no sim card and repeat this forever. When I put two sim card in both of slot 1 and slot 2, neither on can pick up signal and sim 2 showed up and disappeared repeatedly again.
Really hope someone can point me to a direction to fix this. Thanks.

First go here and follow the steps.
And then flash non-hlos.bin from the ROM which is working for you. And, in this process, my IMEI got lost and I manually had to enter using the tool in the above specified thread.
Best of luck
