You don't have the correct drivers! Verify in device manager! Reinstall and after that the software works fine!
If still don't works, is better to try another PC for this operations!
I use this tutorial (czech language but i can translate)
http://translate.google.pl/translate?hl=pl&sl=cs&tl=en&prev=_dd&u=http%3A%2F%2Fandroidforum.cz%2Ftopic48703.html
i try this on soft 1.0.8 and work OK, so this is i think one way to Root that model
This tutorial on Czech works for me. Tnx!

I can confirm that this method works in the new 1.0.12 firmware also.
Here is how I did it.
1. Installed the RK3188 Generic ramdisk-only image CWM-based Recovery for Rockchip from Androtab.info See info in this post.
2. Downloaded the newest SuperSU zip and put it in internal storage
3. Booted into CWM by holding VOL+ and holding the power button for about 5-10sec, when release 4 linux penguins appeared.
4. Installed the supersu zip and rebooted.

Which method did you use for step 1? In my case, neither method works, for the following reasons:
Stock recovery: 'not a valid update' error.
Root shell: current firmware is not rooted, so this is not an option.
CWM-based recovery: current recovery is stock, so this is not an option.
adb sideload: 'not a valid update' error.
rkflashtool: can rewrite recovery partition, but install-recovery.sh restores stock recovery on reboot, and cannot be disabled since current firmware is not rooted.
Any thoughts or ideas? Thanks in advance.

Sorry for the late response, didnt notice the post.
I used RKAndroidTool and never had a problem with the recovery partition being rewritten.
Hope that helps.

Hello again, guys. I had just sold my ZTE Majesty for a tablet. It's brand new that I got off of Amazon. It was only like 100 dollars or so. But here is my problem... I can't get this to root at all. Every application acts as if it isn't an Android device. I can't connect it to my PC because there isn't a way to view the files from the Tablet to the PC.
I've tried zRoot, Poot, Spaarkyroot, Framaroot, but I couldn't get any of those to work. And like I said, I can't do PC to Tablet connection (or at least I don't know how, there might be a way.)
Thanks for the help, guys! And good luck trying to root the ZTE Majesty!

Hi I have a Dragon Touch DTR97 tablet, I as you tried everything I could find to root my tablet, nothing worked. Then I came across motochopper, it worked and my DTR97 is now rooted. Next step is to find a cwm_recovery.img for it. Have not had any luck in flashing a custom recovery image, yet, still trying.
I also have the same model and am looking for a similar solution.
The driver installs correctly and connects without problem, but when USB debugging is enabled and it tries to install the debug driver, it will not install correctly. This causes me to not be able to use it with any rooting programs. Is there anywhere I can get a compatible driver?
I recently purchased an RCA Voyager III model RCT6973W43 and I've noticed no one has said anything about how to root this one yet. I've heard of users who have had success with rooting the original Voyager and Voyager IIs, but there's nothing on the Voyager III. I think it's possible that the same procedure for rooting those devices might work for the Voyager III, but I don't want to take any chances in case it bricks mine. So is there a whole different procedure with my particular device? Or is the Voyager III simply too new?
Bump

Bump!
Yes please!
I tried RCA to see if they would at least update the tablet and turn on the FM receiver. They claim it doesn't have it. I'm pretty sure it has both the FM and a GPS receiver built in. I think I also found a "clone", the DigiLand DL721-RB appears to be the same hardware.
What I'm trying to do is simply enable all the features the hardware has. The Atom x3 is supposed to have pretty much all the standard stuff, my RCA RCT6973w43 (on sale at Walmart right now for $37) does OTG nicely, but if I had the FM also it would be perfect for a tablet based car stereo. If anyone figures it out and can get the FM and or GPS going, I'd be tickled.
I just bought a couple of these for 25 bucks. I would very much like to get them rooted. Any news on if the method for the other Rca's works?
No good. I attempted to root the Voyager III with One Click Root, and it told me it was unrootable for the time being.
Any clues yet?? everyone owns this tablet figured there'd be a root already for this one.
i read where someone tried to root the 43 using 42, and it bricked the tablet, so i'm reluctant to try it. don't know if the 42 and the 43 had the same processor, or what makes them so different it would cause that to happen. maybe we can get a bump.
keep finding tons of people looking for root, but not dice so far. i've only got one cuz they were sold out. actually bought the display model. wish i had more than one so i could experiment. 8(
I'd been able to install twrm halfway then it fails signature verification.
Just got one of these! Bump
yes bump!!!! I can't believe this hasn't been rooted yet. is it because it's an intel x86 architecture?? I'm guessing it would require someone to compile the code for sudo/su/root to run on it??
anything yet?? 8(

just as a quick notei found this guys.
http://specdevice.com/showspec.php?id=7920-d3ef-0033-c5870033c587
it's an alco tablet with the same model # as the voyager 3 RCT6973W43.
weird thing is it appears to have a quadcore arm processor, and not an intel atom.
i heard there was a root for the alco from twitter profile @srsrOOT, but they haven't responded yet.
no clue if this will help at all. I would imagine if the alco has an arm proc, and the rca has an intel then we'd need a different su/sudo binary for the RCA because the RCA runs on a CISC processor, and the ARM is a RISC. hope there's some clues here. hit us back with any info you find. 8(

Thought Id try bumping this. Sorry itll prolly be gone soon.
This tablet is begging for a root. I did a bunch of adb uninstalling and got rid of google play stuff. Battery is MUCH better. I suppose a custom rom would immensely improve battery.

Did you guys unlock the boot loader yet?
Code:
adb reboot fastboot
fastboot flashing unlock
If so, you can try and boot the cwm recovery I use on mine(RTC6873W42) to get a root shell. (if the kernel drivers were the same it would actually be full recovery enviroment) And with that root shell you could pull your boot.img . The expected result of the fastboot boot command is an attempted boot to cwm recovery except the screen will be blank, and adb will give root shell access.
Code:
fastboot boot v31-test-rca-recovery-cwm-ramdisk-20170709-2052.img
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=961840155545581102
And with the pulled boot.img you can make the recovery fully boot by swapping the kernel, then manually change some rc files in the ramdisk folder of the boot.img the allow it to be rooted.
When you get that far, and if you need help, just ask.
This doesn't work with an RCT6973W43, I'm afraid. I get the blank screen from "adb reboot fastboot", as is apparently expected, but while the RCT6973W43 is in this mode, Windows doesn't recognize the device at all, as there are no drivers available. Also, it keeps disconnecting and reconnecting, so that "fastboot flashing unlock" can't get a fix on the device -- it's stuck on "< waiting for any device >" forever, and can only be stopped with Ctrl-C. Otherwise, the only way to restore the device to working order is a hard restart.

That connect disconnect is expected when Intel drivers for fastboot not installed. I will link you to my write up on how to install
https://raw.githubusercontent.com/m...ster/unlock_tool/manual root instructions.txt
Read the document and follow directions in the driver install section. If trouble let me know
Neither of these builds works for me. My build number is RCT6973W43-ANDROID6.0-V16-V1.18.0-M01. Also, even if I could find the correct files, the Intel drivers don't work with my device.

Sorry this is giving you such trouble,
but if you cant get the drivers to work, then you hae no way to know if these files will not work on your device.
If you are refering to the "tools" then, yes they will not work, as I coded them to not work if build numbers are not matched. But I never suggested tring the "tools". just the unlock and "fastboot boot" steps
again , If you cant get windows drivers to install then , thats as far as you can go.
I had a pictoral 'guide' for doing it, but cant find it right now.
In that case, my only recourse is to give up. It seems to me that they have made this tablet absolutely unrootable.
i managed to unlock bootloader
i used the method here https://raw.githubusercontent.com/m...ster/unlock_tool/manual root instructions.txt to unlock boot loader only difference is the fastboot screen flashes just input unlock command and keep taping up it works dont really know where to go from here

Did you attempt my directions at the end . To boot the modified cwm , to get adb root shell?
Hello together,
I have a really big problem with my new HiSense A2 (with 6.0.1 Marshmellow)
This is a double-side Android-Smartphone from Alibaba with a 5.5" LCD on front and a 5,2" EInk on back.
So, it will be impossible to find a working custom ROM, for this device as I believe.
I really love this device - if two problems were solved....
1. Problem
Tried to unroot with RootKHP Pro 1.9 - when finished, it says OK - device is rooted, but SU says not rooted and no access to the system-directory.
Then tried KingoRoot - it recognice the Device as Hisense A2 but brakes operation and can't root it.
Is there a possibility to root this Smartphone?
Had rooted all my devices in past cause using titan-backup and other apps that needs root-access.
2. Problem
I'm developing watchfaces for the Samsung Gear S2 and S3 and own this wearables.
Unfortunately the app "Samsung Gear" isn't compatible to the HiSense.
So I got the three apps:
- Samsung Gear
- Samsung Accessory Service
- Gear S Plugin
from my old (and rooted) Smartphone, a LG G2 and installed them onto the HiSense.
Installation was sucessful and everything seemed to be OK.
Can connect the Gear S2/S3 with Bluetooth to the HiSense, they appear as paired devices in the bluetooth-list.
But the app Samsung Gear could'nt establish a connection to the Watches and stays in searching mode - anyhow the Watches are paired and accepted the code with 6 numeric chars..
Is there a way to get Samsung Gear connecting the Watches and push the notifications from the HiSense onto the Watches?
Searched hours and hours in the web for help.
But could'nt find a help anywhere.
Hope, some here can help me to become glad with the Hisense.
kind regards
Veronica
If someone is looking for rooting the Hisense A2.
The multilingual version 6.03.09.00 is rootable with:

The app costs $20, but only one, I found, what works.

Hi,
I tried to root my A2 using kingroot, towelroot, framaroot and one click root apps without success before I found this thread.
drfone app showed "rooted" although the phone was not rooted. Meanwhile, the windows version offers rooting for free and it rooted my phone. However, I am trying to unbrick it since the following reboot...
It is quite possible that this problem would not exist without the numerous previous failed attempts.
Regards
Peter
Hi Peter,
do I understand correct, DrFone in Windows free version was able to root your A2, but now your device is bricked after a reboot?
This sounds really fatal.
Hope, you're able to bring your Phone back to lifeain - crossing fingers for.
If your A2 is working again, could you explain, what you did with, please?
kind regards

Hello
normally you only need to follow the following tutorial:
1.1. first HISENSE A2 version update to latest version(6.09)
https://pan.baidu.com/s/1cfHYMy
Password: 15k5
1.2. down load and copy SdCard root `A2.bin`
1.3 power off phone
1.4 volume up + volume down and power button
if success sd card upgrade mode begin.

Hello, everybody,
is there any news regarding root?
Anybody know of a way?
Hi All,
I just got a mxq pro 4K S905W android 7.1.2.
In order to use an app (which detect root), i have to remove the pre-installed root. By looking at some forum i found a solution which consist to install superSU first to be able after to unroot my device.
After I installed SuperSu i rebooted and got stuck on "android" logo.. I tried a factory reset from recovery menu but nothing changed...
Now i want to try to install a fresh FW but i'm not able to found it out, i can only find FW for S905 or S905X but not for S905W.
Can someone help me on this issue. Or at least point me to the right FW (by the way i don't care to have android 7.x, 6.x is Ok).
Thanks!
edit: I tried to install S905X FW for android 6.0, but it failed. I think because downgrade are not allowed.
Do you think i can install FW for a different but really similar box like w95 tv box (found 7.1.2 fw for it)?

I have a w95 box and had the same problem after installing SuperUser the box is stuck on "Please Wait" boot.
There is a Reset button on the base of the device but it seems to be inoperative ... I had the box for 2 days and it is now a paper weight (not eve it is really tiny and light).
There isn't seem to be a way to access the bootloader or Recovery...
Really frustrated now.
905x & 905w use different boards.
At the moment SuperSU will install but if you update it it will bootloop your box.
Look at other s905w forums I think there is a firmware for a s995w board but I don't have the link right now.
It could be in freaktab Forum
mxq pro 4k botloop after superSU update
any suggestions about this problem? I can't find new firmware. What can I do now?
