I'm trying to install custom rom to Le Max 2 Le X820, all the roms I've tried give me either error code 7 or 6. I've tried the fixes on youtube but still get the error messages, and now the phone will only boot to twrp. Any help appreciated.
I had same problem yesterday with le2. I wanted to install android 9 rom on 3.4 twrp and always error 7 or 6.fixes from xda or yt didn't help. I have downgraded twrp and it was good idea. The errors disappeared. Maybe this will help you.

I am trying to flash OS lineage 14.1 in my One Plus X device. I getting the following error.
Comparing TZ version TZ.BF.2.0-2.0.0137 to TZ.BF.2.0-2.0.0134

Did the same but this time different error showed up.
You need to update your bootloader. Here's the link for updating bootloader.

I have a Chinese version MI Box. Model: MDZ-09-AA (AK). And I want to flash with US version firmware. I downloaded the rom and booted into recovery mode and when update, it showed me an error message with "signature verification failed". Then I tried to root it via RootKing, but after multiple tries, I still can't manage to install it successfully - it just ended with installation failure message. Am I missing anything here? Can someone give some pointers? Thx

Heyyo, can you please use TWRP copy log function and then paste the result of the recovery.log found in the root of your user data storage? It's hard to tell what the error exactly is without seeing what the logs say it could be related to

I flashed the stock rom and it now has eui recovery instead of twrp. I tried again to flash the custom rom and eui recovery gave a message that the custom rom file was corrupted. Next step is to put twrp back on then try again.

Hi,
I am "building" (first had to fix the LCD etc.) a de-googled DAISY. I managed to unlock the bootloader, install TWRP, and root the original OS (Android One 10).
The problems started when I tried to install a custom ROM (at first Havoc, but other gave the same results). Just as instructed (YT, other pages, here...) I:
- formatted via TWRP
- REBOOT to TWRP
- wipe all except SD
- install ROM from zip
...and at this point I came across an error message
Error applying update: 7 (Error code: : kInstallDeviceOpenError)
Updater process ended with ERROR: 1
Many solutions suggest flashing boot.img from the ROM package, but (WHY?!?) all ROM's ((Havos, crDroid etc.) for daisy have no such file, although other devices have boot.img in their package.
I'm pretty much clueless... :/

I'm an absolute noob, I've got to the point where twrp is installed, wiped the cache etc.. trying to install the lineageos 17.1 rom and getting 'Error 1' installation failed... I can't find error 1 on google, only error 7 and 4...
Device is a Xiaomi Mi A2 lite, and I have downloaded the appropriate rom for that device from AndroidFileHost.com
any help appreciated... cheers
On further Googling, it appears I need to flash boot.img ... any ideas where to find this.. Not in the ROM .zip folder as suggested???
