i have a galaxy j5 (sm-j500) and i had a stock rom galaxy A1 running on it i wanted to swtich to resurrection remix android 9.0 i was getting error 7 while flashing and i tried to update twrp with a img file Note that i made the mistake of deleting and not backing up my last rom the phone has no os and after i tried to flash twrp new version nothing happened i powered off the phone and tried to go back to recovery it went into something called odin mode (not download mode) now my laptop wont recognize the phone i have no recovery pls help.

To turn Odin Mode off, hold down all of the buttons available (the power, home, and volume buttons) while in Odin Mode until the phone powers down. If your phone doesn’t automatically reboot, turn it on again yourself and it will boot normally.
If this doesn’t work, hold all buttons down besides the volume up key instead.

My phone has been bricked

Please help. My s3 can only boot into twrp logo and stays there while flickering every few seconds. I have tried the volume up, power button and home button thing and still it does nothing but reboot to the same place. In short, I cannot enter recovery mode to re-flash my phone.
What about download mode? Volume down Power and Home button?

What about entering download mode ? As it was stated above ? Then you can download last stock firmware for your region and flash it via Odin. Good source of original firmware is //samsung-updates.com/. Odin is available at many sites. If you run Win7 (or higher) on your PC you do not need any additional software, if not - proper drivers to see your mobile will be required. Then, if you do not want to stay with stock ROM, you can flash custom recovery and finally custom ROM chosen from dozens of them...

Phone only boots to recovery mode, power button only doesnt work in recovery mode

Recently did factory reset for my i9100, downloaded reboot manager and rebooted into recovery from that app.
Now I can't get out of recovery mode since power button doesnt work in there and my middle button is broken too.
VolUp and VolDwn work everywhere and I can turn phone on by power button.
Any help? I'm on 2.2.3
edit/ i also rooted the phone recently with kingroot via pc
Hi @noupls,
To get out of recovery mode, you need to take out your phone battery.
Once your phone is off, reinsert the battery. Then go into download mode (press and hold volume down + power button + home).
Once in download mode, flash stock ROM via ODIN (if you've already download the firmware files).
Saber.
With broken buttons, you're pretty much stuffed whatever you do with the device. You NEED to get them repaired/replaced ASAP.
In recovery, there should be an option
REBOOT SYSTEM (NOW)
With your broken buttons I'm pretty sure that'll be the only thing that works.

Help with bricked phone

Tried to uninstall root, first ended up stuck on logo reboots, could turn on download and recovery mode. I factory reset it, and now it won't leave download mode, indicating i have used smartswitch when i haven't whenever i try to leave download mode. So i can now only access download mode, see the error page and it won't turn off no matter what combination of power buttons i hold with the volume keys and home button. Any solution for this? Ill be trying to flash the stock rom later when it downloads but I was hoping for any alternative for now in case it fails

[Q] Bootlooped, can't access download or recovery

Hello,
as I wrote in this (now locked) thread, I installed Superior OS and got stuck in bootloop. I get "Galaxy S9+" screen followed by system bootanimation, which repeats itself indefinitely. It doesn't restart by itself, it just boots endlessly.
The problem here is that I can't access recovery or even download mode. I tried to restart (power + volume down) and then quickly press combination to access recovery or download mode. No luck. I couldn't even turn the damn phone off. I just kept restarting.
So I let it drain the battery hoping I could then power the phone on with correct key combination. I tried holding bixby button + volume down while inserting USB. It just started booting up to system with boot animation. I tried holding bixby + volume up, or even power + bixby + volume down. No luck either.
I got correct USB drivers installed, as I flashed the phone with Odin in the past. Odin recognizes phone while it sits on boot animation, but it won't start flashing. ADB or fastboot do not work on bootanimation, as the ROM is freshly installed. I presume it has ADB turned off by default...
I'll be grateful for any ideas and suggestions.
No escape , man. I tried all ( check this rom for galaxy note 9 )
Nice...
I went to service center, they said they can fix it for me. 40 euros for reflash (download mode isn't necessary), 100 euros for complete unbrick. I hope the unbrick isn't necessary and the bootloader is intact. I'll post with update.

J6 stuck on TWRP splash screen. {SOLVED}

Hi, everyone recently I flashed Lineage 19.0 on my Samsung Galaxy J600G with TWRP 3.2.3 and after booting into the OS I tried rebooting into TWRP but the phone just froze on the splash screen. I am not sure if anyone else has ever faced this, but in case anyone did, I found a solution =), here you go :
Requirements-
1. A computer with Odin installed.
2. TWRP tar file loaded on the computer.
Solution =
1. When the phone is stuck on TWRP press volume down and power button at the same time, this will force reboot the phone.
2. After the screen goes black, quickly press both the volume buttons and insert a usb that's connected to your computer, this will boot us into download mode which is how we can flash a fresh TWRP image through Odin
3. Now open Odin and go to "Options" and untick Auto Reboot.
4. Click on "AP" and choose the TWRP tar file. Now click on start and after it shows "PASS" force reboot the phone again with the method above and as soon as the screen goes black press volume up + power buttons. Voila you've booted in TWRP .
Note : This method was tested on J600G/ J600F/J600T, and I am or will not be responsible for any damage or harm to any entity's device.
But bricking this phone is kinda impossible, which is cool.
