Hello,
I am very new to this subject and have no experience and quite stupid because I have no idea how to downgrade my OPX from 3.1.4 to 2.2.2.
I am having so many troubles with Android 6 being slow and crashing and my phone overheating.
Is there any way that any one can help me from start to finish on how to bring my phone down to Android 5 or OOS 2.2.2?
I can't find any help anywhere and although there is a thread for the same issue, I understand nothing in that thread.
If anyone could go through the steps with me to get my phone back to being fast again, I would be very grateful.
Thank you!
Bad idea...
Just format your phone and start over from fresh install (no back up re install).

I currently run my HTC on 3 uk and dowloaded my firmware so that I can upgrade it!!
However when I completed the downgrade my Orientation is no longer working when I turn the phone. tried to re-calibrate it etc but to no avail. Has anybody got any answers on this to help me out please?
Firmware is 1.5
Build number is 2.73.405.5
Regards Ray
Sorry I meant to ask is Firmware 1.5 the latest officially from HTC?
It may be a bug in that version, to be honest if you're going to flash a new rom you probably won't have to worry about this. Worst case you flash back to the original rom which came on your phone and send it back if it's still not working.
I would carry on putting a custom rom on your phone. It will probably fix it.
did you try to wipe the rotate settings ? It's in recent recovery roms under wipe menu ...
Yes, I did wipe it when I added the 1st ROM onto my new phone. I wiped it again this morning to try to recover it. Is there anywy I can restore it?
Just to let you know the orientation is now working again after downloading NeOroM 1.2 and its update. The version is excellent and works perfect like my daughters HTC Desire 2.1 officail firmware. I think its the best youre going to get near to it until HTC releasse the official version.
Thanks again for all your help guyz !!
Hi there,
I'm sorry if this has been covered before in another thread but after searching with limited success I have been unable to find a detailed answer, perhaps I'm just a little bit dim & have missed something however.
QUESTION:
After installing CyanogenMod 11.0 [KitKat][4.4.2] by "Gava97" I have found that it is simply not for me. I would very much like to install Destro316's "Proformance" ROM [4.0.4] http://forum.xda-developers.com/xpe...m-4-0-4-proformance-rom-long-battery-t2547481 as it seems much more stable having been based on a stock Sony ROM.
Do I just flash the new ROM over the previous one? Do I return to a stock setup & redo the rooting process? If so, how?
Being extremely new at this android thing, I'm a little stumped as to how to proceed. All instructions seem too vague for me to confidently follow without bricking something. As I said, it may just be that I'm a missing something.
Phone was originally running [2.3.7] when I bought it, though I soon flashed to stock Sony ICS [4.0.4] Firmware version 6.1.1.B.1.100.
I unlocked my bootloader, rooted & installed Clockwordmod Recovery via this tutorial: www(dot)youtube(dot)com/watch?v=V232-3tZddE
I would be very grateful if anyone could fill me in with a step-by-step guide on removing all traces of CyanogenMod & installing this new ROM. Any suggestions for different ROM's are welcome as well, of course.
-----
Bootloader unlocked: Yes
Root: Yes
Clockworkmod Recovery: Yes
Kernel version: Transcendence v 1.1.6
Flashtool Version: 0.9.14.0
PC: Windows 7

I really am sorry if I missed something in my search, I'm very new at this.
I appreciate anyone taking the time to read this & help me out.
Cheers,
Miles

Just follow the instructions on the ROM threat, this is erasing your CM 11, then install your ROM through CWM.
Good luck!
U could Just follow the instructions that included at the ROM u want, that will eras your CM 11, then install the ROM U want through CWM.
Clean Install is required
Woops
Hi everyone!
Sorry for the late update.
So I attempted to follow the instructions outlined in the new rom I was attempting to install and it did nothing. Absolutely nothing. Phone continued to boot into Cyanogenmod 11 kitkat as if nothing had happened.
Now obviously I messed something up, but I needed a properly functioning phone for work asap so I bought an Xperia Z1 Compact just to be done with it. Over the hassle.
However it's been bothering me that I still have a basically pristine Xperia U minus it's software tantrum.
So, how do I go about restoring this phone to the factory Gingerbread and removing Cyanogenmod?
Baby steps please.

I'm by no means an expert.
I follow the guidelines here to flash my Xperia Sola from ICS to a Kitkat rom.

I'm not entirely sure but downgrading should be similar? Fastboot (via flashtool) and flash boot.img. Then in recovery mode, flash the stock Gingerbread rom?
Hi everyone, i have a huge issue with my desie x. So I did follow the tutirial, but I have ended with a "Rom" I don't even know what does that mean but anyway it is very very slow and buggy and I have absolutely no idea how to get back to the original android I need any other good android version that will speed up my phone . I remember that I have used clockwork mod and that's all I can remember. If anyone could write me a step by step tutorial in bullet pointsaabout changing it back ASAP so ny phone runs fast I would be very grateful.

Without any details no one can help you out! Check what rom have you installed .. Go to About Phone..
Next check out other ROMs available here.. Vimiro and Mysensedx5 are good if you want Sense 5 roms. or go for slimrom if you want an aosp android.. Do check out the bugs first though.
Hi guys, this is a hell of a story I have to tell and it's complicated as ****. So please if you think you can help me, take the time to read it I'll also add some screenshots.
So Monday I decided to root my Moto G3 and install the custom Android 7.0 Nougat rom (because it won't get it officialy). I did everything using a tutorial from the AndroidDoctor on YouTube.
So everything went well so far and I got my Android 7.0 custom rom. Tuesday I decided to get rid of the rom because I didn't really like it and I wanted my original software back and wanted to unroot.
So I did something insanely stupid, I deleted the files (Supersu, the rom and the GApss) from my phone using the device manager for my phone on my pc thinking this would get rid of the root and the rom on my phone.
So I decided to reboot my phone to get my old software back and I got in a bootloop. I had a lot of research but nothing can really fix my problem.
So I used the tutorial to fix it also by the AndroidDoctor.
So you guys are my only hope, what else can I do? The only screen that is working on my phone is the boot menu.
Any help is appreciated thanks !

Android 6.0.1
Hello everyone,
I finally decided to get experts involved in this matter. Let me start off by saying I don't know much about tech and rely solely on tutorials and forums to get my stuff done. I currently own an HTC ONE M9, which I absolutely love, and have rooted it recently. Now as a noob I do not know how to install the original firmware back and deleted my backup from the phone (-_-) but luckily have it on the computer. I am currently using Venom 3.5.0 (Android 5.1) and it is working perfectly.
NOW ON TO THE PROBLEMs
I want to use Nougat (awesome features) really badly and Venom guys have a ROM for me, fortunately, but the problem is as soon as I flash it using TWRP It starts and everything works fine EXCEPT NO AUDIO FEEDBACK WHATSOEVER. Like I can't make calls, I can't play youtube videos, I can't receive calls in short phone doesn't speak whatsoever.
Same happens when I flash Marshmellow based ROM. :crying:
I am currently living somewhere where I can't get OTA updates.
Also, every other android 6 or 7 ROM I try gives me legendary ERROR 7 (I f***ing hate it). Only another ROM which barely works is ERAGON that too which is based on android lollipop.
Plus for the info, YES I have rooted device, YES it's S-off, YES I have Super SU installed.
I am sort of HTC fanboy (only HTC U Ultra is stupid) But I think these are THE most un-userfriendly devices.
And I am sure a lot of you are familiar with the flop camera I have on my device 20.7 megapixels still stupid photos compared to my certain iDevice with only 8Mp.
Please tell me why my camera won't focus no matter what I do to it.
Also if you guys can help me flash original ROM back in it, it would be awesome. And for info, Yes I have tried to put file back in recovery option on TWRP folder but can't flash it back.
Thanks a lot!
