That notification is to change keyboard.
You cannot get rid of it without rooting. The only ROM I even know of which can disable it is CM9...

Actually, i got rid of it! but with a "side-effect"
you go to applications menu
and you Disable applications that listen to you (like google voice search)
and then it dissapears
but the problem is, if you use voice assistants this gets in your way

He just said disable voice search. Find voice search under settings>apps and disable it. It will just come back if you ever install another keyboard, and you can't use voice.

If you mean voice command have already disabled it and there isn't any option to turn voice search on or off.

For some reason none of the regular email apps that have the option to disable the pin lock on the lock screen aren't working for me. But the stock mail app works great but I can't stand the pin lock. Does anyone have an apk that I can flash or push to bypass this? Or could someone direct me in a way to modify the apk myself?

I use enhanced email which uses the web services and thus does not enforce pin requirements.

For some reason enhanced email keeps losing my settings and I have to constantly setup my account. And then tonight after setting it up for the 20th time it wouldn't get any mail. So I downloaded touchdown and it did the same thing... Once I setup the HTC mail it worked great.

But I'm still looking for a way to avoid the pin lock...

Yeah, go look at the info section on the app in play store. It has a link to a loong thread where they explain why... it's actually a bug with the OS. You can sideload the app, or as I did, install it from Titanium backup to make it work properly. Mine is solid.
Is this you trying to get around corp security? I'm using exchange and I don't even have a lock screen

Try this, it works. You'll need to be familiar with using smali/baksmali.

Yes, there is a setting to enforce a lock via password or pin. His admins are using that policy.
Stock Verizon Note 2 on latest update. I've noticed my phone will not turn its screen off while I am making phone calls with my ears pressed against the phone. Which is quite annoying as my cheeks will inadvertently press buttons while I am on the phone. When I try downloading a proximity sensory check tool on the play store, the sensor appears to work fine.
Anyone else experiencing issues with the proximity sensor while making calls?
Have you looked in phone settings and made sure auto screen off is turned on?

That would be perfect, by chance, do you know where that option is located? When I go to Settings --> Display I do not see that option, I only see smart rotation and smart stay options.
Open the phone app pull up your menu and then select call settings

Many Thanks! I have no clue how that option was unchecked.

Does anyone know how to turn off the annoying "page is loading" "page is loaded" sounds in the browser?
No one else has this problem? If your not hearing it. Turn your media volume up as you browse the web in "internet" (not chrome).
I'm guessing you have lightflow installed? It is a known issue. I just use chrome, no issues there. Other options include turning lightflow off.

I have the same issue. It does it in the corporate email app when you check/uncheck mail too. Very annoying. It has to do with lightflow's accessibility options AFAIK.

Or use light manager instead of lightflow

I was having this problem after installing a dash clock extension. i had to disable talkback. There seems to be a bug where if you attempt to enable the anydash extension, it also enables talkback.
Anyone get Google home installed and working yet? I keep getting crashes on searches

they posted a quick reply on phandroid on how to fix this. im trying to install right now. http://phandroid.com/2013/10/31/download-and-install-the-new-google-experience-launcher/
Meh... Google Now still crashing even following that. Hot word not working either. Plus ugly sense notification bar ruins the launcher.

i got search to work on my DNA. i can't seem to get the launcher to work though...
It works flawlessly on Cyanogenmod using the phandroid method.
