[ROM][11.0][4.9][AOSP][SUZU] Explosive Lobster
SUZU F5121 and F5122
Hi! Just wanna share with you Android 11 ROM builded for Sony Xperia X (will never die)
Many Thanks for development @Cubbins
I'm not responsible for any damage caused with your device after flashing this ROM. Flash only on your own risk.
This ROM bring us Treble support ( ARM64 A/B ) structure for all GSI images based on 11 Android. Just flash any GSI at System partition after it.
How to Install:
1) Copy ROM to SD card and flash with recovery
2) Download SW_BINARIES_FOR_XPERIA_ANDROID_9.0_2.3.2_V9_LOIRE.ZIP, unzip and copy image to sdcard too
3) Flash Binaries with recovery to OEM/ODM partition
4) reboot
5) After reboot we need to flash/format userdata partition. So, download it and flash with ADB: fastboot flash userdata userdata.img or fastboot erase userdata
6) reboot.
Warning:
We use /cache partition at thid ROM as a /vendor, so if you format /cache partition on recovery - you'll catch a bootloop.

Great work!
Nice work dude. I am yet to flash but I appreciate your efforts. But I am using a custom rom already. Do I need to reflash stock rom before flashing your rom ? Is there any way to flash without sd card by using adb?

No, you don't. You can try flash from internal storage, but you can't flash rom with adb
@lubik It looks like there is an issue with calls. I can't hear a companion and companion can't hear me. Microphone and speakers work correctly if you try Google search...

Tomorrow I will build a new version with a fix, latest sources and kernel security patch.
Updated.
Changelog:
1) Fixed Calling
2) Fixed Music Playing
3) Fixed recovery (bug with AOSP recovery installing after reboot)
4) Latest Sources and security patch
Awesome work dude, never thought android R making it's way to xperia X..
Amazing, I never thought I will ever experience android 11 on this device. Thank you
Good job guys! Thank you!
I would be coming from Q TWRP 3.3.1, but selecting the zip to install gives E1001: failed to update system image. Is there something I am forgetting? (it already has the ODM partition flashed for Q)
You can try TWRP 3.4. It works fine for me.

Thank you it works with that.
Which gapps do you recommend? I tried NikGapps full but fingerprint unlock seems to be missing, also I couldn't encrypt the phone. It fails to mount userdata on next boot, and causes a bootloop on zygote. Also I have noticed a changed behavior with the new ODM partition, if the charger is connected it comes up on reboot in some factory flashing mode (just reports android in usb descriptor, and there is no fastboot or adb, and nothing on the screen)
Update: Fingerprint just works slightly differently, but works OK. Encrypt is the next to tackle.
Update2: So interestingly fingerprint unlock works, but use biometry option is missing from the apps. Is it related the device not being encrypted?

What do you think about everyday usage and battery drain?
I ask that because switching from Omnirom 7 to 8, battery sucking was a disaster.
Will this update solve my recovery 3.3.1 error 1 problem?
Twrp 3.4 doesn't work for me, I guess because I bought my device with Android 7 and the bootloader from 8 is required?
Or to put it another way: Will installing stock android 8 first solve my problem?

It's not a SODP-based ROM, it's a clean AOSP build. Any another custom ROM on this forum based on SODP or on the Stock fw, thats why it's a unical ROM with low battery consumption (like on a stock 8.0, maybe 5-15% more becouse of Android version and more optimisation by Sony's developers)

Yep, next update of this ROM will be compatible with old versions of TWRP recovery, becouse Pavel @Cubbins did a trick with symlinking new bootloader location with "ln" command to old bootloader path: /dev/block/bootdevice/by-name.

Yes you right. For any new ROM (begining from 9 Android) you need new bootloader on your device. It will be automaticaly update if you flash a stock 8.0 ROM with Emma or FlashTool

Hello @lubik1 . Does your rom suffer from the kernel panics that cause the random reboot problems or since it's pure Aosp it doesn't have it?
Thanks for your hard work!

Sometimes you can get kernel panic when you turn on the device. But while using android, I didn't observe kernel panic, but I have not run any stability tests yet, so everything is possible. I'm working on it.

Thank you very much for this rom.
Hello,
Thanks for releasing, I've flashed your new build and the WideVine DRM is working fine now. Good luck with getting the commits merged, hope this makes it to official status after your work to fix the last few broken items.
Anything left to fix at this stage? I see the camera is more or less fine, just a little perspective distortion in the camera app due to the preview window having the wrong dimensions which is very minor.
Thanks!
Why developer setting has only root for adb?
Have i must flash supersu in twrp?
Thank you very much for this rom.

Please, look and read at -

There you can find all Informations.
I have download the ZIP File and flashed the arm 64 SU and become a new ROOT-Assortment / Selections. And now i have FULL-Root.

Into the Moment i´am so Happy with my new - "LINEAGE OS".

Read the lineage os blog post. Root is now an optional add-on so that users can use root-aware apps without installing root-cloaking software. Not difficult to install, just use arm64 from here: https://download.lineageos.org/extras

lineage-14.1-20170517-UNOFFICIAL-karin.zip wont install with this recovery.

Can you upload a later dated rom or should I go back to the earlier TWRP?

This can be fixed by removing first line of the updater script.
Simply download the rom for your version, use you preferred zip tool to edit the file: META-INF/com/google/android/updater-script and remove the first line.
Thank you for the rom. At last it was released publlicaly. Everything works like a charm. Only mifare cards and stock lineage camera could be a little issue.
I've read where many users who have updated from Marshmallow to Nougat have experienced fast battery drain issues. Can anyone confirm this is not an issue with this ROM or that it has been resolved with 7.1.2?

I should build a new version soon.
But in all cases you can also wipe ONLY the system partition before reinstalling the rom (I do it each time, even if not mandatory it's cleaner). You let your data partition unchanged so you will not loose anything.
Ok, so I'm ready to pull the trigger on this, but I have a few questions to be sure I do it correctly. I currently have a rooted Z4 with the custom AndroPlus kernel (it's on lollipop v6.x). So no custom rom, only custom kernel with root. So to follow this guide, I would use the flashtool with the lightened ftf, and flash the new TWRP and ROM, right? Or would it be better to just restore my tablet back to original factory state and then proceed from the beginning?

You need lightened ftp in case you have android 5/6 as twrp dosent work with old bootloader. If you have any version of noogat stock. No need of ftp. Also, it might be flashed trough androplus recovery.
Perfect, thank you. Also, right now on AndroPlus I have the DRM Fix that emulates the DRM keys to allow for Sony's Image Enhancement. Will I loose that with this ROM?

Lineage dosent need any drm fix. It's only stock feature.
the rom i was waiting for. much better battery, especially in standby. i use the tablet only on special days
and till this day it loses 3% per day (using leandroid for flightmode while display is off).
with stock nougat i lost 10% per day.

Well that's even better! Seems like the perfect solution. And from what I understand I can get full root by installing SuperSU from here using the ARM64 version and installing via TWRP?
Am I required to have an OTG cable and attach a mouse to make any of this work? Or can it be done without? Thanks for the excellent support!

I don't get safetynet pass. That's how I tried:
1. Wipe data/factory reset
2. Wipe cache
3. fastboot flash system system.img (this ROM here)
4. fastboot flash ramdisk BKL-L09_ramdisk.img
5. Boot Android
6. fastboot flash ramdisk patched_boot.img
7. Boot Android
8. Install Magisk Manager 5.6.1 -> safetynet fails, Banking apps refuse to start
Any idea?

After you finish flashing the rom
1.Put the Magisk manager and ramdisk boot.img onto the storage of the phone .
2. Install the Magisk Manager.
3. Magisk Manager will prompt you to install the latest Magisk apk which is version 16.
4. Click install and patch boot image.
5. The manager will bring you to the file manager , and you search for the original ramdisk boot IMG. And click on it once.
6 .Wait for the manager to do the patching of boot.img and eventually a patched boot.img is formed .
7. Transfer the patched boot IMG to you ADB file on your computer.
8. Put your phone in fastboot mode and flash it.
9. Reboot and your phone is rooted.
Does the IR blaster now work on the Mate 10 (Pro) ? Apparently there were some issues reported in the previous version.

If you need VoLTE you should use stock EMUI for moment. And yes, all custom ROMs have this issue ... no need to ask on each thread the same question !
When the issue will be fixed, it will be clearly stated in OP - so you don't need to ask every day if VoLTE was fixed or not

It definitely can be, but probably won't happen or at least not right now. We need to port EMUI framework and that requires a lot of work and I think that there are definitely other priorities first

Niceeeeee!!! I have been waiting too long for this <3
Awesome! Thanks alot for this! Couple of questions before flashing. Does it include stock google camera? Does it retain unlimited photos storage and also is it possible to flash over stock without losing all data? I know the last isn't recommended, but would be nice.

1. The camera included is one provided by cstark. It is a modded version of Google Camera which includes features from later Pixels, but should still hold the original features.
2. Yes, you can still upload unlimited photos in original quality.
3. Unfortunately, it is not possible to directly flash PixelExperience over stock. In fact, 11 requires a full device repartition. It's easy as flashing a .zip file before the ROM to do so.
If you have any more queries, make sure to let me know!

Flashed and working fine. Thanks a lot for your hard work, still going through the setup but so far so good. Will report if I come across anything funny.

Hey dude! (or dudette), would you please walk me throught the installation process? I'm a noob on flashing custom roms, and i'm facing some difficulties flashing this rom. I downloaded the repartition zip form the link, and I'm flashing it throught twrp recovery and then the rom zip file but it gets stuck on a bootloop. What am I missing? (Please forgive any misspellings, I'm also a noob at english)
Flashing both the regular and plus versions doesn't seem to work for me. They both get to 35%, then I get:
28 (ErrorCode::kDownloadOperationExecutionError)
Error in /sideload/package.zip (status 1)
Great great work! Will surely be trying this at the first available free time!

Hi. Are you able to download Google Camera from playstore and does it work fine?
Is selinux enforced? Tks
Going through Pixelexperience site, came across two versions for Pixel XL- Stable android 11 and Stable Android 11 (plus edition).
What's the difference between the two? Apologies if this is common knowledge, but this is the first time for me using Pixelexperience.

I have solved the issue, this is what i have done:
- Boot into twrp from fastboot, using the latest twrp 3.5.0
- Advanced Wipe (system, dalvik, data), change active slot and then repeat (just to be sure)
- adb sideload the repartitioning zip
- Format data (where you type 'yes') then reboot into twrp
- (From Kartik Billimoria on Telegram)Push rom zip file to /sdcard via adb push command then flashed the rom
- Change to inactive slot (the slot you flashed the rom), reboot to fastboot to make sure the active slot has changed (for me it has not), if not change it by 'fastboot set_active a' (or b). Reboot.

It will not work via TWRP recovery.
1. Kindly go on the downloads page and install the PE recovery.
Code:
fastboot flash boot recovery.img
(It may bootloop once or twice, but then it will show up in PE recovery)
2. Go into Apply update via ADB.
Code:
adb sideload repartition-ogpixel-**gb.zip
3. Factory Reset/Wipe Data.
4. Apply update via ADB and sideload the ROM.
Code:
adb sideload PixelExperience-**.zip
5. Reboot and wait patiently.
Hope this helps.

PixelExperience Plus Edition provides extra tweaks that you can apply.
One that comes to mind is further customization to the notifcation bar to include network stats.
If you're up for extra customization from ROMs like LineageOS, consider flashing Plus instead.

By default, the ROM includes Google Camera PX by cstark27, which is more up to date than the stock (marlin/sailfish) Google Camera app. It includes newer features such as Portrait mode and Timelapse.
However, from the Google Play Store, you are still free to install the stock one.
As for SELinux, yes. It is enforced.
For stable releases from PixelExperience, it is required that builds are on Enforcing.

No need for this last part. If on TWRP, after flashing the ROM, you just need to reboot back to recovery and it will automatically set to the inactive slot.

Deep sleep seems to be broken.
Also howndo you pin apps so they don't get killed when you press 'clear all' in the manager?
The audio jack its not working for me
Edit: The problem was a modification on the mixer_patchs files that an app did.
Putting the backups files on the directory make that works again.
Any problems Wifi? or similar?

Right now, no problem that i casue xD, the wifi it's working well, the data i can't say because i didn't use, the speaker i think that it's a lite weak, that's why i try to use a mod to get a lite louder and get some problems xD
Always you can backup everything on your rom or stock with your prefer recovery and try other rom, if the rom doesn't seen enough for you, just restore.
Nice rom but I keep getting this internal problem every time I reboot my phone. Is this normal or I am missing something? Otherwise it seems to be functioning fine?

Just ignore that warning. I'll fix it on next build
any chance of including a stock calendar app?
also, the in-cable headphones control seems to be incomplete, only 1 buttons is working, I am able to play/pause only using the 'lower volumen' button, tried with multiple headphones.

Sorry what does it mean? It is possible to use the SD card to extend internal memory? My son is on official firmware and the internal memory full messages are really annoying
Used this rom for quite a while with a couple of reboots. Now the phone somehow tells me that my SD card has an issue again. I tried setting it up as portable storage as usual but it won't let me without having to format it. The sd card itself still works fine tho in the recovery. Now the internal storage is also treated as full as well in play store and won't even let me access it in the file manager like as well.
Edit: False alarm It's just one of magisk module drm remover that causes this issue

Well using this custom rom will automatically make your rom 64 bit mate. It just requires you to use those Custom Recovery Recommended above to have it successfully installed along with the instructions provided.

This is one of the ROMs that I've been anticipating to have an A12 update. Thank you for keeping lmi alive!
Does VOLTE work here?
Can someone please confirm if the low microphone volume recording bug for WhatsApp voice notes etc is present on this rom, like it is for the A11 crdroid?
Hi to all of you!
Great ROM with all the great looks and feel but as in 7.13 version I am not able to get the mobile data to work...
Anyway, big thanks to the developers for all the effort!

Have you tried manually setting up the APN in Settings?
I was looking forward to this update, Thanks for your hard work!
I'm facing a bootloop problem for some reasons...
I once successfully installed it, but realized NikkGapp didn't use my config, so I went back into TWRP to run it again and use my config.
I didn't realized it at this time (now I know), but TWRP didn't ask for any pattern unlock. The sd-card wasn't detected, so I tried a couple of things to solve it, and this is where it starts to get problematic. I did the sd-card switch from ext2 to ext4.
From that point, I got into a boot loop. I tried to flash the CrDroid rom again, but it won't work.
I then flashed the global original image to start fresh, but TWRP still won't ask for pattern to unlock, thus doing the flashing again didn't work...
Do you have any idea how I can fix it? I'm back on MIUI and I already miss CrDroid

After getting bootloops from installing different roms I learned this: disable the screen lock (Settings->Security->Screen lock->None) before flashing anything. This way TWRP should be able to mount the partitions

Thanks for your help.
I disabled the screen lock, but sadly it didn't work.
I get errors messages such as:
I:File Based Encryption is present
fscrypt_init_user0 returned fail
fscrypt_init_user0 returned fail
fscrypt_init_user0 returned fail
Unable to decrypt FBE device.
If your device is not encrypted, decrypting the FEB device will fail.
E:fde::get_crypt_ftr_and_key::Unexpected value for crypto key location:
E:Error getting crypt footer and keyE:Could not get footerDecrypt process ended with signal: 11
Failed to decrypt data.
Unable to decrypt with default password. You may need to perform a Format Data.
and
Android Rescue Party trigger! Possible solutions? Either:
1. Wipe caches, and/or
2. Format data, and/or
3. Clean-flash your ROM.
The reported problem is:
'set_policy_failed:/data/system'
Not sure what to do...
I tried changing the data format to ext4, then format it through ADB, didn't work.
My current error message is "init_user0_failed". I also still have the "Rescue Party trigger!" message.
EDIT:
I managed to boot by formatting DATA after flashing, but the OS seems to be missing a lot of stuff.
EDIT 2:
Ok, started the clean flashing process again, still got in bootloop. Tried formatting data again, and it worked!

Thank you for your reply. I did not try changing the APN settings but tried MIUI stable 12.2.6.0 needed for flashing the 7.13 crDroid and it works there out of the box. Maybe changing the APN would work but I gave up and get back to EU version instead, which is ok for me except for custom launcher like Nova since I cannot get around the home buttons appearing/dissapearing when I use gestures with Nova launcher... That was the first thing that led me to trying crDroid
Спасибо за ROM!!!

Thanks for the ROM!!!
tell me from which version of MIUI you need to flash crdroid 8
Can anyone confirm wether crdroid has issues with high security apps requiring "official" builds?
For example the Danish verification service MitID (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=dk.mitid.app.android)
App would open to only display that "device is rooted" on Spark A12 rom...

I have the same problem with our COVID app, I simply flashed Magisk, then once I'm in the OS, you can install MagiskHide, it also works for Google Pay on rooted phones. Make sure to clear the app cache when activating MagiskHide, otherwise the message about the rooting will stay.

This was without root. Google Pay and other banking apps and such worked. But a few had some extra checks apart from SafetyNet and such.
I would rather not root and mess with magisk if it could be avoided.
I don't have any need for root and would rather not install too much third party stuff with potential security risks.
Did Google Pay not work for you without root and magisk hide either?
I'm currently using "NikGapps-full-arm64-12-20211227-signed" as GAPP, but sadly, chrome keeps freezing. I'm currently using a different browser. Has anyone a fix for this?

My device is rooted since day one. I don't know how to flash a custom ROM without first rooting.
But yes, without MagiskHide, I couldn't use Google Pay. Haven't found another way to make it work.
