Hello, guys,
I have been searching the forum for a solution to my bricked phone, it freezes during startup at the 'Motorola' logo.
I accept any solutions, from restoring factory conditions to flashing custom ROMs.
Reading the guides here I found out that most options require the setting 'Allow OEM Unlocking' to be turned on, which is not possible since the phone is bricked and it requires a successful boot. So I'm wondering if this is why nothing is working and if there is some alternative ?
1 - Wipe Data from fast boot (power + up)
Seem to be executed successfuly, but doesn't solve the boot problem.
2 - Restore Factory settings
When I select this option a blank screen with 'N/A' on top left corner appears for some seconds. Then the normal boot process starts and it hangs in the same screen as before.
3 - twrp-deen-5.img
The command "fastboot boot twrp-deen-5.img"fails with '(bootloader) permission denied!'
4 - ADB Side Load
If I fastboot to 'Recovery Mode' there is an option to side load a ROM through ADB. I tried this with the official ROM (https://mirrors.lolinet.com/firmware/moto/deen/official/RETBR/) in the same version I have and the latest. But in both cases, when I execute the command"adb sideload XT1941-3_DEEN_RETBR_10_QPKS30.54-22-11_cid50_subsidy-DEFAULT_regulatory-DEFAULT_CFC.xml.zip"it fails with an error: 'E: footer is wrongE: Signature verification failedE: error: 21'. I wonder why, since the ROM I have downloaded should be motorolla official.
5 - Blankflash
I have found this https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/blankflash-for-motorola-one.4097391/. But don't know if it would fit my context.
Any insights ?
Thank you !

Hello everybody,
first of all I'm, sorry for my newbie's awkwardness and for my bad english too...
I'm a linux (Debian) enthusiast and I'd liked to install it on my Lenovo Tab M10 Plus; my choice felt on "Linux Deploy" but it needs a rooted device so, after an internet search for tutorials and tips and a system backup (.adb file saved on PC) I bravely tried with Magisk... and I failed (or I think so).
The tablet start in a never-end booting loop and on the splash screen appears the message
"
Orange State
Your device has been unlocked and can't be trusted
You device will boot in 5 seconds
"
I can access in fastboot mode so I tried to flash a no-rooted (downloaded) boot.img but it didn't works (the flashing process reports OKAY but the device reboot anyway in Orange Status), I tried with the flashall command that reports
"
error: ANDROID_PRODUCT_OUT not set
"
I tried to wipe and flash but it didn't works, I granted the access in some recovery mode and tried to install the .adb backup file from the SD card but the system says :
"
E: signature verification failed
E: error: 21
Installation aborted.
"
I thought to open the backup .adb file for extract the original files (I don't know if it could be done and if it could be useful) but how?
I think someday someone more skilled than me will solve the problem but, waiting for that day... any advice ?
Thanks, anyway.
Cheers, Ste.
Use official Lenovo Rescue and Smart Assistant
Same problem...lenovo tab x606F firmware is not present in Lenovo Rescue Smart Assistant and you can't add it manually!
Yes hello, sadly I am having the same issue as well. Anyone have any ideas? Here's what I've tried:
[edit]
Hello XDA!
I've bought this phone bricked for cheap and i'd love help unbricking it.
What I Think Happened: CN Version of the Phone, attempted to flash the global version.
Progress:
- Automatically Boot looping (no screen)
- Goes to a "selection" screen after a certain amount of time
- Shows up as "Android" in Device Manager
- Installed ADB and Fastboot
- Phone is only detected by Fastboot
- I attempted to take off fastboot using fastboot restart didnt work
- Going into Recovery Mode does nothing
- Any other combinations with keys have failed that i've tested.
- No COM Port detected
Is there anyway I can unbrick the device? Please let me know!

Any solution?
Hi, I am using a oneplus 7t pro mclaren edition. I have soft-bricked the device. I tried to change the filesystem in twrp to f2fs when i was in stock rom (I know it was a stupid mistake). Now the boot and recovery partitions are destroyed. I can boot to actual fastboot mode. Tried to use payload dumper but whenever it tries to boot fastbootd it says
fastboot: error: Failed to boot into userspace fastboot; one or more components might be unbootable.
Tried erase everything I got the following error using "fastboot -w"
Erasing 'userdata' OKAY [ 0.229s]
/home/abhijith/Documents/op7t/output/make_f2fs failed with status 1
fastboot: error: Cannot generate image for userdata
I have heard of MSM unbrick tool but as far as i know it only works in windows , before installing VM with windows , I want to know if there is any other way i can recover my device. I have a11 fastboot rom and a12 stock rom. Please help
I have exactly the same problem, same errors etc. if I find any solution I'll post it here. Can't use my phone until then I guess. It all happened after my phone was bricked after trying to install TWRP (previously used LineageOS Recovery).
I followed this guide which resulted in the same errors as for you: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...ock-fastboot-roms-for-oneplus-7t-pro.3991189/
Okay, I managed to unbrick my phone, but you won't like the (probably only) solution:
- You NEED Windows (7-10) for this, as the tools are only available on this platform, sadly
- There is this one Indian Guy that will save you:
- Includes how to install all drivers and how to get your phone into COM Mode
- This uses the MSM tool. For 1+ 7T Pro, get it here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...l-to-restore-your-device-to-oxygenos.4002909/
- This is going to STOCK RESET you phone 100%, meaning that your bootloader will be locked etc.
- If you get into any Chinese menu after the phone reboots, you can use Google Lens for translation
I can't believe this worked because it just feels so hacky, but trust me, it's a good last resort as you can always put your phone into COM Mode, regardless of how hard you messed up the system [citation needed].

Follow the video. When all drivers are installed and you hold both volume buttons while the device is off, it will show up as a COM/serial device for a few seconds before booting.
Important: Only connect the cable while already pressing the buttons or it won't work.
I was able to get to edl mode and msm tool was detecting but now i am facing sahara communication error i dont have official cable so maybe that might be the reason will try that also
@Colin_T Thanks for the help. I was able to install stock rom to my oneplus 7t pro. I really want to install pixel experience, in the instructions it is saying flash oos 12 firmware. But in the official website i am only seeing 11. What to do?
First of all, Hello, Im Ivan, Im new to this phone thread but Ive been pretty active on other redmi devices.
My situation, the phone if turned on and left alone does the following
1.- splash logo
2.- new device configuration (select language and others)
3.- warning to activate phone with a previus account for about 1 second
4.- restart
If left alone this until the battery runs out.
If you hold up or down keys on 1, it gives takes you to the corresponding "FASTBOOT" or "stock recovery"
In 2 you can select options and move around the sceen (the warning on 3 is according to the language you manage to select)
In 3 if you select anything like "activate this device" or "set up internet " the phone freezes and it has to be turned off wich restarts the same cycle.
I disasembled it completely so I can enter EDL mode I have succesfully done it multiple times already, I know this because the devices admin shows me the device conected in COM9.
I got the correct ROM for my device and got Miflash tool, and when I try to flash on EDL it tells me "only nop and sig tag can be recevied before authentication" Im guessing Xiaomi locked even the EDL flashing so that only they can reflash devices, well I tried to loock elsewhere and try to use what we used on redmi note 9 "SPflash tool" but for that I require a scatter file that was suposed to come in "ROM/images/android_MT6XXX_scatter.txt" but there is nothing similar on there, is there any way to get the scatter file so I can try and unbrick this device?
