Is there a way to make Outlook work on G8X like it does on Surface Duo? Like this - https://techcommunity.microsoft.com...ted-with-outlook-on-dual-screens/ba-p/1636484
I have enabled the wide screen mode for Outlook and it shows mail list on left screen and mail view on right; but when I want to reply - the text box comes on both screens and keyboard is also split. It's nothing like Surface Duo, which is very sophisticated.
Please help.

Hello - I come from a Galaxy Nexus and love the S3, but the black backgrounds for the Exchange Email inbox and SMS inbox are not my favourites and I would prefer dark text on a light background. (I know the email messages themselves are black on white - that is good, but I would prefer the inbox to look this way as well)
I cannot find any way to change this within the standard functionality of the current firmware. Is it possible to do this without flashing a whole new ROM? (I have rooted the device but am on a standard build still)
Many thanks for any pointers.

For SMS inbox: open the messaging app, press menu button, tap "Settings", tap "Background style". Done. This is on stock. Not sure about the Email though.
Thanks for the reply - that does change the SMS history just fine - I hadn't looked at the SMS app too closely as it's mainly the email that's frustrating. Still no progress there unfortunately.
Cheers - N
Hi. I was wondering if it's possible to show notifications from gmail and/or facebook for the 5 contacts I have on my edge screen? I don't mean a distinct, separate notification; I mean linked to the contact so that when I get a notification from them, it appears in the same way a txt message would. It does appear to work for the Samsung email app, but not for gmail or FB.
Edit: Just saw the title typo. D'oh!!
Hi all.
Just got my Poco last week. Some apps don't show in full screen, three is a solid black ribbon at the bottom of the screen. Refer attached screenshots of Inbox and Gmail apps. Gmail if fine, but inbox is misbehaving.
Has anyone had similar issues?
Go to settings and use Full Screen Mode for apps with this issue
Those apps are optimized for 16:9 aspec ratio. With MIUI setting you can use the full screen
how do I disable preview pane in Gmail Android app? I am on a Samsung tab s7 plus 5G when I open Gmail it automatically shows the email opened on the right hand side if title of a email is highlighted. I cannot post a screenshot cuz I got personal emails.
Hi, I'm a bit late to the V60 party and am curious if others have the same two issues I'm having with the lock screen. The first is that my notification pop ups are tiny - like unreadable tiny. This is on the main display (not the front of the dual case). On my V30+ I could read the subject and first few lines of emails as they came in, and read texts & WhatsApp messages no problem. They occupied a third to a half of the screen. Now I get something that's 1/8" (~3mm). I have everything in 'brief notifications' turned on, 'show content' checked, and 'hide sensitive notification content' unchecked. What's the difference between bubble vs non-bubble? Sounds like some Apple i- to me.
My other question is can only put two app shortcuts on my lock screen? IIRC I could put many on my V30+'s screen. Two is limiting. Is it time to install Nova launcher? The fact that I can't add a home screen to the left of the main one bothered me, at least until I grouped the snot out of my app shortcuts
