do you have the solution? could you share it? I still have the phone with the unusable cup holder, it does not get a signal with any company, if you know how to solve it, could you please share the information? Thank you!

Copy this into the dialer *#*#4636#*#*. Under Testing go to Phone Info. Next go to the option " Set Preferred Network" and from the drop down choose "LTE only". This will force the phone to only connect to the 4G network with the one drawback being that it will drain the battery a little bit more. Hopefully it helps.

NOT a unlock problem!! "your sim card does not allow a connection to this network"
Sorry i know this may or may not be related directly to the hero but i'm trying to sort out why it happens, so i can fix it.
My phone works fine at home, but when i get to work (and near) I lose data connection, then if i reboot i get the "your sim card does not allow a connection to this network".
This only has been happening for the last two days!! and had been working for months.
Any ideas as the network provider isn't much help?
BTW: the network shows in the "search networks" menu.
well signal and network connection has returned.
Strange thing is, when i checked the networks settings it has automagically changed to "wcdma only" i've changed it back to auto and it disconnected then reconnected fine.
Hmmmm.....????
I'm sorry to tell you this, but the phone has been IMEI blacklisted.

If that were the case it would not work anywhere. The OP reports that the phone works fine from home. He alsl reports that the network connection has returned. Neither of these would happen if the IMEI had been blocked.

ignore that clown
Sounds like the cells in that area may be having some issues, call the network and advise they should be able to take some examples and check the metrica type reporting systems most networks use. This will show alarms triggered by the cell itself and allow the fault to be fixed or reset.
When ever you have an issue and it only happens in one area as its a radio network the issue wont be handset related. In very rare cases certain radio roms can have issues depending on equipment on the base station but its very rare.
Don't worry, I'm not gullible enough to believe him!! Admittedly though that was my first thought before realizing it still worked when i got back home, as the network denied all knowledge of there being a problem. Next I thought maybe it was something to do with my sim......but anyway i never really found out.
I just think it was a bit suspicious that after many calls to the provider and nothing, i thought i'd try again and as i was talking to the 2nd line support it magically appeared back on the network and they said it wasn't them??? hmmm...
If i was to take a guess I think i may have had poor reception in a supposedly good reception area for a while and i had been blocked from connecting via gsm and only 3g (is it wcdma?) or something like that. (i've heard similar has happened to others in the past).
@Anarchyuk: thanks for your insight, its nice to find out how the operators and systems work.
I have found that if I am in an area with no phone reception when I switch from standby i get a warning sign with a picture of the SIM card crossed out and a message suggesting that my SIM card is not working. That is very misleading - all it means is that I have no reception, but my SIM is fine!
I paniced a bit when I first saw it (in an inner office within a large building in a weak reception area) but trial and error has shown it is misleading and I now just ignore it.
Yep, that's normal behavior as far as i'm aware.
The problem i had was completely different, but yes that threw me the first time i saw it as it doesn't obviously look like purely no signal.

Nokia Lumia 800 Constant "No Service"

Hello everyone.
Since getting a Lumia 800 I've had nothing but issues. Initially the problem was battery life (as is common, I know), which never reached more than 5 hours even on minimum usage. Then I started getting signal dropouts. So I sent it back to Nokia's UK repair centre in Thetford, thinking that they would sort it.
I got the phone back today, and the phone now will not find a network at all - I've tried multiple Microsims on different networks, with no luck. On the advice of the Nokia helpline I restored the phone to factory settings, performed both a soft and hard reset, and tinkered with the network settings app and the mobile network menu in settings.
It isn't a sim insertion error, as a different symbol shows up when no sim is inserted. The phone simply won't find a network, when I know the signal strength is very strong in my area (in fact I'm using my old phone with the same sim card and it has full strength).
It looks like I'm going to have to send it back to Nokia again, but if anyone can help me to save me having to do that it would be much appreciated.
Thanks,
Chris
Try put it on 2G.
Most time 2G get better signal than 3G.

2G didn't change anything, still no service.
I'd the similar issue, the status kept showing NO NETWORK connection, but the funniest part is, I can make call, and send SMS!
The most frustrated part is, the data connection is always drop! I'm not sure is my telco issue or the phone issue!
Have you tried ringing yourself?
I know that sounds stupid but I constantly get the no signal sign but can still call, send texts and receive all, even the internet works.
I thought it was a problem with three (everyone always says they're ****) but the post above suggests not.

Yeah I'd read somewhere else about ringing/texting to wake the phone up kinda thing, but it doesn't work.
Goes straight to answerphone when I call the phone, and when I try and call out it just fails.

Nope, it's doing this to me on the o2, giffgaff and 3 sim cards I've tried.
Where did you buy it? If it was a physical store I'd take it back there and ask for them to swap it over... would be quicker than sending it to Nokia.
I have the same problem with L800. No service but... I can't call, answer or send sms and get them...(Wifi works fine) I tried many different sim cards from different operators etc. Can't take it back to the shop because I bought it used without purchase papers. It just suddenly stopped saying "no service". And when I mess with it and try search the network manually it finds them, but wont connect to any of them. And after doing that alot, it says incorrect sim or something like that.
It lets me put in the pin code and everything.
I tried searching from everywhere but no solutions yet.

Hmmm, ok it's not a simcard issue then, if you tried a lot of other simcards from different operators, did you try to clean your simcard reader maybe there is some dust or perhaps a failure that results in not reading your simcard.
Goodluck buddy,
So today I made an experiment. I live in Norway and I went to Finland. In Finland the phone worked perfectly with out any problems but as soon I got over the country line back to Norway. It said "No Service". Very strange...

Well, then it's solved, just move over to Finland
Just kidding mate, it's a strange problem don't think there are a lot of differents between the gsm coverage of both countries.
The only option I can think about for now is to perform a hard reset.
If I found something usefull about this issue I let you know.
Greetz,

[Q] Why does the phone lose mobile network while charging?

Hi all!
Today I bought a new LG-P713 (L7 II) phone. All things work great but when I`m charging the phone it loses mobile network and nobody can call me; also I can`t call anybody
I studied other related threads but did not find useful information around that. How can I solve this issue?
Thanks in advance
Hey there.
Congratulations on your purchase! Welcome to the LG family! I'm sorry to hear that you have a problem with your phone after buying it, and my best guess would be; try to restart! You said you bought your phone today, maybe you need to restart your phone and disable/enable your data connection. Maybe that'll work!

Thank you! I restarted it and tested it again for a short time (because it had 85% of charge already) and I did not notice the issue again! Again I will test it for a longer time and I will report the result here to ensure other users regarding this simple solution.
Hi,
Unfortunately this issue occurred again today! I really like this phone and hope to find a good solution for this bad problem.
Turn your phone off and remove your battery and SIM card. Boot up the phone, leave it for a couple of seconds and turn it off again. Insert your battery and SIM card and turn your phone on again.

Maybe a simple question but how can I boot up the phone?
And does phone boot up without battery?

Boot means start. With booting up, I mean start up your phone. And no, you can't turn your phone on without a battery unless it's connected to a charger.

Thank you Tahax! I tried your last solution but still I lose mobile network while charging the phone
I called LG mobile support in my city and they told me that now they can`t solve this problem because they don`t know its reason! Also they told that we propound this issue with LG technicians and call you if they find a solution for this problem.

That's great, but the technicians of LG tend to take their time, so in the meanwhile I can still help you look for a solution. Go to your settings and try to enable 2G only, and see if the problem still persists. Also try to let your phone automatically choose a network operator, which can be found in the same batch of settings. I'm not sure about the L7 II, because I have the L7 version, but I navigate to settings > wireless and networks > more > mobile networks. That's where you can find all of these settings.

Alright, well, I'm afraid that the problem might actually be somewhere in your hardware. Maybe you just have the unfortunate luck to buy a partially broken phone. In that case, it's good that you contacted LG. I'm sure they'll fix your problem.
Thanks for visiting!
was it solved
Hello, just got the LG L7 2 and it has the same problem: cellular signal disappears when the phone is charging. Most inconvenient.
Anybody found the solution already ?

Hi there!
The best solution is returning phone to LG services, I did and they changed the phone main board for free!

phone is unreachable

sometimes when someone call me it gives him phone might be switched off or unavailable although signal is full (4G+)

Best thing to do is get a hold of your carrier and make sure there is nothing wrong with your service as well as the provisioning of your phone. If anything they can open a trouble ticket and determine what might be going on that way.

[SOLVED] Cellular Problem with Redmi Note 9S

Solution: Disable "Dual 4G" option in the "SIM Cards & Mobile networks" settings
Hello, good day!
tl;dr: Phone stuck to no cellular signal, until I reboot, restart mobile radio power, or turning on airplane mode for a short while when turning off again.
---------------------------------------------------
I recently bought this phone as an upgrade to my old one. I transferred my sim, and all seems to be working pretty well. I lived in an area with very poor signal reception, so overnight, the phone doesn't have any signal reception other than WiFi.
The problem is that it remains that way (stuck on 'no signal') if it cannot get any signal for an extended period. The problem persists even if I went to an area with good cellular reception even in the city.
The problem seems to fix itself when I placed the phone either by activating airplane mode for a minute, turn off "mobile radio power" then back on again, or reboot my phone but it starts to get annoying over time.
I tried changing the preferred network type to the one my old phone used (LTE/CDMA auto (PRL)) to fix it, but no luck.
Does anyone know a permanent solution to this?

I tried the SIM Reset first and so far it is working perfectly but I need to monitor it first to check if the problem would persist in the long term.
Will update thread on the result.
================
Update: unfortunately, the SIM reset doesn't work. However, I tried swapping the SIM card to see if it makes any difference and surprisingly it did. I put in a SIM in slot 1 from a network with a good signal reception while my previous one on slot 2.
I would like to also note that the current SIM 1 has a successful Xiaomi activation & verified to use the chat features on the Messaging app while the old one does not.
All seems to work perfectly - but need further monitoring I can call it solved. Will update the thread on the result :good:
Update 2: The workaround above doesn't work. I sent to Xiaomi this issue.

My sim is in slot 1. still dropped calls. Seems like network disconnects and reconnects.
When call is dropped I immediately redial and sometimes no network.

Unfortunately, the workaround I posted doesn't seem to work also when my current SIM 1 can't pickup signal for at least 2-3 hours.
Yes I also experienced drop calls most notably when the signal drops below 0 bars (not no signal with an "X").
I can't find a good rationale a factory reset would solve the problem since nothing on my phone (modified settings, modded, or downloaded apps) that can affect the cellular network. So, I won't be taking that road for now.
I already sent feedback on Xiaomi and advice me to send the log files *fingers crossed*
Any updates..?
My father is experiencing similar experience with calls hang and even bad call quality, while pocophone f1 on the same network works flawlessly.
Data problem
I have a problem with my RedMi Note 9 Pro, when I make a call on 4G Airtel network(at least 4 bars) the data connection drops to an average g of 1.2kbps.
I have used the same Sim in the same area in my previous phone the Honor 9 Lite but it doesn't face any problem. Whenever I get a call on that phone the 4G data speed increases.
On the RedMi note 9 pro the data gets completely disconnected and even after I cut the call the data remains disconnected for 2 minutes or so. After that I resumes back. It even gets lesser speeds that my previous phone.
Sometimes the data drops without any reason. It stays disconnected for a minute or so and then tries to connect back. It has got horrible ping.
Anyone facing the same issues?
Having the same issue here. I modified phone settings several times and try with another apps but nothing working so far
I MAY HAVE FINALLY FIGURED OUT A POSSIBLE SOLUTION!
Disable "Dual 4G" option in the settings.
No issue so far for 3 days now
