Random reboot
I got same problem. It is exactly as you described. My firmware is BLA-L09 8.0.0 (C782). And Yours?
It's happened to my one 3-4 times since I got it and happened last night when I was using it's torch to see where I was going in total darkness, which was not helpful!
I'm on BLA-L09 8.0.0.124 (C782).
So... It was happend to me last night as well. Two days ago when I ve used torch. I ve spoked with Polish branch of huawei support and they said that they have different firmware but they had same problem. With some update it has been sorted out. So apparently we have to wait for an update. I am sure for 99% we have problems with our firmware. No reasons to be worry.

Huawei mate10 pro auto reboot
I have same problem here with mate 10pro. When I bought the phone it doesn't reboot this way. After 1 month it start to reboot randomly. Even I did not do anything on my phone. Please help.
Hi;
This problem started to occure this week on my huewai nova, does anybody know how to fix it?
It occurs randomly, while speaking on phone, while surfing on chrome, while looking at photos or writing in whatsapp...
Also started on MATE8
The same problem started this week on my Mate 8. I was going to replace it with a 10 and now find out it is happening on all the Huawei. What in the world is going on?
The same problem with my Mate 9 Pro since the second March update of Oreo.
I returned to the factory settings with no hope but it' s ok for now, if you have a chance, you can try to return factory settings too. (Nova)
I also reset to the factory settings, but after a few days the problem returned
I use Nova on Mate 10 standard, only one random reboot in 3 months so far

Same here!
I'm using P20 Pro. I also experienced random reboot same as all of you. I even brought the phone back to Huawei service centre just last week to fix it but it didn't help. What they did was just to reflash the firmware into my phone. It seems like most huawei phones on Android 8 has this issue. Terrible!
Get used to it it's a Huawei
Same here... Using Mate10 ALP-L29C636B136. I just do updates OTA til I got to 136 then suddenly my phone is now useless due to severe random reboots. I ended up unlocking bootloader, rooting it and installing TWRP, and trying several means to flash stock firmware but I'm always failing. Also tried HuRUpdater but failed as well. Any other suggestions?
Found this thread on google. This is frustrating. Random soft reboots on my P10 at least twice per day. I've tried root, non-root, downgrading versions, nada. I haven't tried returning to nougat though. Maybe I'll do that.
EDIT: Turned out to be a huawei accessibility bug. Uninstalled an app that uses accessibility permission and it doesn't randomly reboot anymore.
This is driving me crazy, and I'm thinking about getting a refund, but I want to ask here to see if anybody has any idea what my problem could be.
Got my pocophone last week, there is only one game I play on it right now (yokai watch punipuni, a japanese app), and it runs horribly. It's a 2D game, and it runs better on my old huawei p10 lite.
I guessed having updated to the last miui version that was the problem, so I waited my 72 hours to be able to unlock.
After 1 day of waiting, the game magically started playing smooth as butter. Not after a reboot, not after anything. It was running badly, I slept for a few hours, woke up, played again, and it was fine.
Then, since I was being impatient about the wait time, I tried a trick I read around (that doesn't work anymore) involving using a second miui account. All I gained was resetting my 72 hours, and the game being back to not working.
Today I was going to finally unlock it. A few hours before I could, the game started behaving again, with no reason. I then checked though the unlocker how much time I had left: 2 hours.
Back to the phone, the game was laggy again.
I finally unlocked the phone and now spent hours trying various versions of lineage with different vendor builds (I tried like 3 or 4 different combinations just to be sure), but none of them made me run the game properly. Anyway this makes it sound like it's not OS related.
I tried installing pubg, but since I've never played it I have no idea how it's supposed to run.
I tried installing extreme kernel, and it made things a little better, but still not good enough.
I really don't know what to think. Doesn't seem to be related to the OS, nor an actual hardware issue (I couldn't tell what triggered the game to run properly, but it stopped working properly both times after a reboot/fastboot access).
Any idea?
Thanks in advance.
I've had my honor 10 for over a year now, never experienced any issues, not even after updating to emui 10,however recently ive noticed the device restarting itself while not even in use,and these days its starting to sometimes freeze and reboot. Has anyone experienced anything like this, i am considering to do a factory reset however first id like to hear if anyone has any other ideas what could be the cause.
I'm experiencing exactly the same. I had no problem in two years but for the past two days I think my honor 10 froze and rebooted maybe 5/6 times... It's completely random, three times when I had the phone in hand, the other during night or non using period.
I'm also on emui 10 since it was available : currently on 10.0.0.177(C432E3R1P4patch01). @Anubiz_DK did you find any clues ?

My problem was the same, factory reseting it worked.
Started having same problem myself two days ago. I really don't want to do the factory reset, but it seems like it is the only way ?
Update, after the factory reset everything was good for a month, yesterday the issue came back, no apparent reason why
I had a similar problem, but after a couple of days it went away by itself.
Im also seeing visual bugs before some of the reboots, like colorful squares and such
I wiped cache partition yesterday and so far so good. Before wipe it was restarting 5-10 times a day.
Did the same today and it seems to help
Also i how much free ram do you have without an open app, seems to be conected to the issue, both time i had reboots it was around 800mb and 1.12gb,after wiping the catches ive stayed around 1.8-2.0 gbs
About 2 days after wipe of cache partition the reboots started again. No apparent reason why. Sometimes it happens when in use, sometimes it happens when not it use. Some times there are plenty of apps in background, sometimes 1 or 2. Sometimes it reboots 3 times in a few minutes, sometimes it goes 1-2 days without reboot. Heavy use and multitasking doesn't seem to trigger the reboot. Few times it even rebooted while booting and once it booted to safe mode.
Anyone tried checking if it could be a hardware issue, and are you all on emui 10
Im on EMUI 10. I can't think of any HW issue. Maybe RAM related?
The reboots started to intensify for last 4 days. I get about 5-15 daily at various situations. Formatting cache partition doesn't help anymore, i got one reboot about 5 minutes after wiping cache partition.
I just got August security update along with system update 10.0.0.180 (C432E5R1P4). Will report later if it helped with the reboots.
Well I got one reboot yesterday and one today. So no help here..
I have a new theory after traveling last night on a train, for a while there were no reboots, but as i was in a hell hot train last night the phone could not stop rebooting, sooo im imaginine its possible overheating issue

Hi! It's unlikely, IMHO, since my phone reboots too, but it's of ~room temperature, no signs of overheating. Maybe, it's thermal compound bug/lack, but unlikely.
At 4PDA, I've counted around 10 people having the same reboot issue. I've asked some of them here, but we don't know the reason for sure. 4pda.ru/forum/index.php?showtopic=904618&view=findpost&p=101416402
So, still guessing. One of them said that After downgrading to android 9.1 and resetting , her phone runs just fine. That trick does not work for me...
Important note : for the cases I've seen, it has started ~within 2 months (around Sept 2020)

I can confirm that. And I think it is quite strange. Could it be something with NPU unit?
BTW, I have early unit. I bought it right when the phone was available. In 5/18.
It had stoped. and it started again, honestly i have no idea at this point, there is no good reason for all this, im done with this at this point
I'm angry. I have sent my phone to RMA, the last day of warranty, 31st May 2020. The USB-C connector wasn't able to transfer data and it couldn't fast charge.
They actually accepted it and changed everything except motherboard. So 3 weeks later in June I got basically new phone back, with new battery, display, back cover... And because I wiped it before sending it to RMA, I did clean install and rightaway also a clean install of Android 10. Everything was working perfectly, battery life was great..
And then the damn reboots started, late September or early October. It pisses me of, since the phone has been recently refurbished in official service centre within the warranty. I was expecting to be able to use it quite comfortably for at least another year since the service. Possible up to 2 years...
Greetings,
I bought a Mi 10 around a year ago and was happily using it until a month ago.
I always did the system updates whenever it came up. I had the MIUI 12.5 update about 3 months ago and there was no problem until one day the battery started to drain faster than usual. Tried to solve it for a couple days and it didn't work, there was some "Other" app that was draining half of the battery. I did a factory reset, still the same. I still had warranty so gave it to repair service. After a month, they reached me saying they spoke to the manufacturer and I was able to get a factory new Mi 10.
Today I received the phone, not refurbished or anything, brand new one. I charged it to full then started setting it up, doing updates etc. It was on some version of MIUI 11 or something so it did system updates 2-3 times over and over. The last update is V12.5.2.0.RJBMIXM but after the download the phone fails to install it and gives an error: "couldn't update, verification problem". Anyway I said "what the hell I'll solve that later" and continued logging in apps and stuff. After a couple hours I wanted to check the battery usage, I go in, and surprise: exact same problem in a brand new Mi 10. Attached images show how extreme the consumption is. Battery is down to 50% from 100% in 2-3 hours. What I don't understand is, I cannot find any similar issue on the internet, there are many "high battery usage" complaints but nothing like this "other" app consuming half the battery in 3 hours.
I don't know what to do at this point. I don't even know what my options are. I don't want a refund because I love this phone and price went sky high in a year in my country so I can't afford a new phone. Can I install new updates through softwares and USB debugging without breaking warranty? Should I just give up and get a refund? Should I wait until Xiaomi has a fix for the issue?
Power consumed by OTHER is system apps in the background that are essential for running the phone. You need not concern. But you need to find out why it is 50% and not 20 - 25% as normal. Playstore apps may help.
When updates fail to install you can power off and on, no damage to the device. You can then set the auto install features and let the phone install the update itself. The phone needs to be charging and idle for 2 hours.
The reason the update failed will be poor signal corrupting the file with errors.
The Zenfone 9 is a great little device. However, since today I have seen several automatic reboots of the device. Anyone else seeing this problem?
I haven't seen a reboot; any new app you've installed of late?
Good hint - I have installed one yesterday. Will uninstall and report back.
Unfortunately is still get 1-2 reboots a day. Not critical but annoying! Anyone else?
I'm on latest update and unlocked+rooted. Not a single unwanted reboot.

Yes I am. No worries. Device is great. Just software.
Did a hard reset - problem persists. Not sure what the cause is - working with Asus support on it.
Hi, a friend of mine with a ZF9 has got reboot every night during charge (he uses slow charge, this night he'll try normal charge).
He had reboot even during daytime, he did a hard reset yesterday and for now everything is ok, but I'll update with new info in case of.
I've been having those reboots for weeks now. There is an official thread on the asus forums talking about it. There are more than a dozen people who have also reported it and from the looks of it, Asus hasn't found the source of the problem yet. Out of curiosity, in which country did you buy it? Are you rooted?
my version is a french version. I neither had any beta OS on it nor was it rooted. I wanted to provide Asus with Logs but they rather wanted the device for repair, now I'm waiting for its return.
I doubt this is a hardware issue though as the reboots did happen in cold state w/o any system activities ongoing. The only special thing on my setup was that I used two sim cards in parallel.
I did a hard reset and he problem remained. I also used slow charging.
I'm from Italy and the phone of my friend is not rooted and with bootlloader locked.
I heard my friend minutes ago, and from when he deactivated programmed charging the issue seems to have disappeared. Have you got programmed charging on?
Yes, I have the upload scheduled. But I'm beginning to suspect that the problem originates from a lot in Italy. I just asked you because I thought it was from there.
Love this phone but also having the same issue. Bought from Asus directly (US site) too. There's a whole thread of folks with the problem too on their forum:
ZenFone 9 randomly restarts
Hi all, I bought an Asus ZenFone 9 from the UK online store. I started to migrate the apps from my old phone to the zf9 and once I finished I started to use my new ZenFone 9 as my main phone. However, I noticed around 3 dso that when i wentato unplug a fter charging the phone it looked as if it...

Try to deactivate it and report please ;-)
My friend hasn't got reboot since then for now, two days and a half ago.
My reboots do not happen while charging, FWIW. And they're always while the phone is idle (sitting on desk). I look up and see it's spontaneously rebooting...
I was having reboots on custom kernel, just updated to 32.2050.2050.34 without going custom kernel (still rooted) and have had no reboots yet.
Mine reboots while watching YouTube app, either with high brightness, while charging, or both. It seems to be less likely to happen if i clear cache from YouTube settings.
It typically doesn't happen in other apps. Phone is stock. EU version.
After testing for a few weeks, there is a good chance that the reboots on my device are due to Magisk (not modules)
